[Q] Best game settings?

Hi
Currently i am running Arconium 5.6, Doomkernel v15 @ 1.4ghz, and SuperCharger v6. When i do the quadrant benchmark i get a score around the 2000.
Now my question is, how can i speed up my phone to play a lot of HD games, with minimal lag? Is there like a gamerom, or are there specific gamesettings?
I also wanna know how to use Chainfire cause i still don't get it

Ok, cause i use 1.4ghz as normal, but when i'm going to play i could set it up to 1.6?
And could you tell me how to use chainfire and plugins? I couldn't find anything...

I had just saw N.O.V.A 3 trailer for iso and android, I would really wish to play that game on my xperia arc s if it's out, However... my arc s which is running "Stock ics with all the bloatware remove" could bearly even support modern combat 3 without heavy lags every few sec...
So share your gaming experience on any 2011 xperia phones, were you able to enjoy any game without any lags? stock rom or custom? etc etc...

In GB with Arconium 8.2 and DoomKernel v22, games flied off (including MC3)
Now am in Leaked 4.0.4 and i cant even think of playing games in it though the UI is a lil bit smooth.

hey, i have 8.2 and v22 aswell, but mc3 sometimes doesnt respond, i get those options force close and wait, do you have those problems?

Use stock kernel for gaming and you'll have no problems. Look at this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nCK0dvRbTHI i had this problem and the same as yours with mc3, on stock kernel everything is okay...

GTA 3
After upgrading my Xperia ARC to ICS 4.0.4 its impossible to play GTA 3. It freezes and its very laggy. On 2.3.4 it Worked great. Any ideas what's wrong ?

gaming sucks in ICS..thats why sony stopped working on ICS for xperia play..

ISO is great OS. I think iOS is better, isn't it?

Well i have not played much memory intense games. But im crazy about temple run and its quite smooth in my ARC with JJ 3.1 custom rom/ Arc Night Kernel

Its causing problems with some games. Some run, others don´t.

i think GB will be a lot better than ICS for games i used ICS and had a lot force closes in games...like n.o.v.a. 3 and order & chaos and i had 160 ram free!! then i changed to stock GB first and i saw differences...a lot faster !! no force closes! after this i unlocked my bootloader and installed custom ROM arconium 8.2 and doomkernel...WOW! now my phone is great!!! i will give chance ICS but i will w8 when they will repair this rom beacuse now is not for me

yes n.o.v.a 3, max payne, dead space, heavy gunner i play them and are good.... n.o.v.a 3 lags a little and have crashed 2-3 times. But u will check more problem when u connect it to hdmi and then play on lcd, etc.... even heavy gunner 3d crashes and force closes then. My phone's currently on 4.0.4 stock ics rooted .

My's has no error with nova 3, may lag at times but it's bearable unlike modern combat 3 which lag's is far worse... GTA 3 does lag too on ICS, reckless racing 2 crushes on some maps... But ICS should be a better software so issue like these will be solved but... =\

Hey guyz am getting my xperia play fixed (flex cable problem) . Is there any other way to speed up games? E.g Gta vice city, modern combat 4 . I'm currently running NXT LE 1.3 with doomkernel(v14) and I have overclocked. I am still getting a few lags once in a while. Is my phone maxed out or is there another step forward?

Do a swap partition and you can get more RAM memory

Mc4 doesn't lag if u use wapshop version with wifi on.

Does Lag Free Gaming Really Exist?

Hi Guys, i missed my xperia play so i bought a new one, the scene has changed on here since i left it a year ago for the better, brilliant roms and kernels now!
However am i doing something wrong?
I've tried many kernels and rom combinations but im still experience lag in games (not as bad as a year ago though)
It annoys me as i will be enjoying a game then it will just lag really bad and i lose control of the dpad / touchpad for a few seconds.
Its not constant lag but enough to bug me!
I've tried LuPuS v12 480p and extremkernel R2 000p with the following roms:
Gin2jellybean
Aurora Play
XElite
Atomic
I cant get bane of speed to install (keep getting E: partition error? help?)
These are all GB roms will i have better success on Ice Cream Sanswhich?
i usually OC with 1.6ghz smartass v2 / sio (However i've tried all settings even under-clocked)
Any advice / help would be great
p.s.
Major annoyance is when i play Mario kart 64 on n64oid it freezes my phone no matter what kernel / rom / OC settings im on!!! v2.7 doesn't crash on mupen any ideas?

You should really try ICS roms. Pritty much stable and able to run even heavier games. Just keep in mind that in ICS roms it's everlasting battle in perfomance vs features. Use lupus ICS/GB 480p kernel.
Ofcorse, it depends what games/emulators you are playing, but i can say ICS is compatible with 95% of games (that i try).

Did u data reset before tryuing each rom? (use Tiyanium Backup to backup and resote apps exactly where they were!)

Imo best rom is stock debloted+RTmixManager/v6SuperXharger/Pizza_Box(not all jusr 1 of em)

Sounds weird but keep ur oc to 1.2 GHz in games, just try thqt, nd dont use performancr govenor unless emulating

Don't like the ICS roms they all seem too fiddly,
I finally settled on LuPuS v12 480p and Gin2jellybean 1.4ghz / smartassv2 / sio
UI is smooth and modern looking and most games run fast as! only getting the odd stutter during a game but only on some and its rare.
I have one major issue now which i dont know if its the rom or the kernel, but i'll pick 2 games its occurring on: Rage of the gladiator and Lara Croft both games are not playing videos in game?
The phone doesn't play any mp4 on the basic stock player, anyway i can fix this? (3rd party players do work but not for the in game videos)

why don't you try JB ROMS ..try this one. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2357756
always wipe data/cache/system/rom before installing a new ROM. hopefully this should fix your problem..

It was the kernel learnt the difference between full / ram (full contains video playback) im all happy now it doesnt have seemed to affect the games in anyway that i can notice anyway.

I use performance for gaming as it keeps the frequency set. Smartass changes frequencies constantly and that could have some affect

On the lupus 480 kernel I get that too with the videos not playing. Asphalt 6 wontload the opening video but says it's unable to play it. Then it loads the game

Hello such .. would want to know if anyone knows where I can find, or how can I do to increase the graphics of some games:
The Amazing Spiderman v1.1.9
Gangstar Vegas v1.4.0h (only lets you select low - very low)
Asphalt 7 v1.1.1
Asphalt 8 v1.3.2a (only lets you select low - very low)
Nova 3 v1.0.7
Modern Combat 4 v1.1.5
Evolution v1.6.1 AVP (at medium quality selection, closes to start the game)
is that all of these games can be played at least as (medium) on our Xperia Play (with Customs Roms - Script - & a little overclock) but play them with graphics to a minimum is disappointing.

as for the patches, I'm working on several games, tutorials on the web searching and modifying myself to increase quality and maintain performance in the latest version of some games .. I'll be sharing the barely finished.
