[Q] Forget to checklist usb debugging mode - Xperia Arc Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

It Fixed. Thx
My phone Arc S. 404 fw 413 virgin
After I look JJHybrid 3.1 i'm amazed with the UI. And plus the Locked BL users also can try it. and i'm doing step by step to do so. i root my phone, install CWM download JJhybrid 2.5 and i am succesfully to try the 2.5, and after that i accidentally unchecklist my usb debugging mode and than i try to upgrade to JJhybrid 3.1, i'm doing it wrong. i didnt wipe the data, instead i just upgrade it. and my phone now stuck on sony logo. i try to flash it with many FTF, ready to root FTF, middle east FTF, spain FTF. and the result is zero. always aborting the flashing. i try to remember what might wrong, and voila.. i think i know the problem, usb debugging mode that i unchekclist before. so what do i do to checklist that usb debugging mode again? my phone just stuck in sony logo T.T
or could someone give me step by step to get my phone on again T.T please

Flash a kernel with integrated CWM on ramdisk and boot in CWM. I recommend doomlord's kernel since it can boot even you borked out any ROMs.

please anyone., help me. what should i do

Oh ok locked bootloader is another issue. Anyways try booting the rom on safe mode. Just power on your phone, when sony logo shows up press and hold the hardware menu button. If it fails and flashtool also fails then bring it to service center.

Try using Flashtool to flash your stock rom.
Flashtool, select flash mode. Download the 2.3.3 r800AT firmware from the compilation thread. Start your phone by holding the back button and connecting a USB cable, flash 2.3.3 for r800at, done.

I can't change anything not being able to get into it. All I want to do is get back into CMW so I can restroe my backup and never mess with it again. Is there ANYTHING I can do??? I am pretty sure when I tried to flash that rom, obviously the wrong way, I was in them modes they say I'm not in flash tool. Please Help Me???

Did you install the Android SDK first on your pc? Next up did you install the sony drivers? When you install flashtool inside the flashtool folder there is folder called drivers and accept all the permissions that goes along with it. In order the get flashtool working properly you should do the first 2 things I posted? Your play is not "bricked" it is a soft brick. Meaning your PLAY can be saved its not scrap yet.

[Q] Xperia Arc won't boot after CWM crash

I am new at all this stuff but i think I'm starting to somehow get a hang of it. I rooted my phone this week running .587 by downgrading the kernel etc, you know. Today I wanted to try another rom so I followed this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1955248 To install Xperia Ultimate HD on my phone with a locked bootloader.
However during step 8 CWM shut down and started to boot. But it doesn't start and I'm unable to get back into CWM My computer won't recognise the phone so I can't flash the kernel or do a complete reset using SUS. What do I do? is it save:able?
Been doing flashtool ftf recoveries whenever this occured. Do not power on arc s with it stuck. let flashtool self boot to flash mode and you will be back in buisness again.

if you could tell me what to do a bit more precise I'd really love you! like a small guide
I assumed you have flashtool since you mention about kernel downgrade. if no get it installed
the step actually same as flashing the kernel with phone power off.

here's the thread for CWM
n post back if it works..
Thanks guys, really appreciate it, will try these methods out.
Still won't work
I tried doing all the different things you said but the phone won't boot holding in the back button and inserting the datacable. The light on the side turns green but nothing else happens.

I was also stuck at Sony logo and it reboots every time just after sony logo. Then i used flashtool, flashed using "LT15i_4.1.B.0.587_Kernel.ftf".....
Now it boot further, but only to XPERIA logo, and then reboots....but certain times i have seen it getting past the logo, like it shows a display asking for pc companion, even the taskbar too with time and blutooth icon on it....but all of a sudden it reboots. i have tried rebooting more than a 100 times, while taking out battery everytime.
Also, I'm not able to get into recovery mode. I tried this using the combination of power on, and when sony logo appears, pressing and releasing volume down repeatedly. I hope i'm doing right.
So what should I do?? am not able to use this phone for a week...
Please help me out.
Ok got it working. I just unlocked the boot loader from sony bootloader site(sorry couldn't post the link, because of low post count)
So, it booted up but show error as soon as put a sim, that "Unfortunately keypad has stopped working".
I figured out the culprit, it is the build version with i flash it. I reflashed it with LT15i_4.1.B.0.431_kernel.ftf, now it working fine like a charm.
So much relief...!!
Hope this may help someone too...so i shared!!!

Handful of problems!

Hello! A friend of mine give me his phone to fix it. It was stuck on the Exclamation Mark and Phone image. I flashed it with Flashtool and LT15i_4.1.B.0.431_Generic.Central.Europe.1.1247-1041. Now, the phone works, it boots and so on.
1st problem : the wifi doesn't work, it gets stuck at turning on.
2nd problem : i can't access flash mode, i tried like a million times, no luck (it used to work though, now it just enters charge mode and that's it). Without flash mode, i can't flash a new FW or ROOT/install CWM to repair wifi.
3rd problem : the phone sees a new update, 4.1.B.0.587, but it can't install it over wap, and i can't flash it either.
4th problem : PCC/SEUS can't update the phone/nor repair it, tough the phone is seen and detected.
I'm open for advices on how to fix those issues. Thank you very much in advance.

if PC companion dont recognize phone, first you need flash orginal rom, if I dont mistake after any flashing you again need check "unknown sources" and debugg in options. When you flash rom, next repair with PC companion

the problem is (as i took it out of his post), that he can't flash anything.
did your friend unlocked his bootloader? if so, when he did it with the official method, then it is normal that seus doesn't recognize the phone...

If you cannot use SEUS, then you prolly have an unlocked bootloader.
Flash a kernel with cwm like advanced stock and post back with info.
If you still get stuck, try to flash a rom from dev section, or/and post a logcat with the errors
Like i told in my original post : I CAN'T enter flash mode, and the phone IS SEEN by SEUS/PCC (but it can't repair, nor update it, since it requires flash mode)
About the unlocked bootloader, i don't know.

Well, it might be worth the idea to unlock the bl, download a custom rom, flash a custom kernel which fits with this rom, flash the rm, and afther that, flash back the generic firmware. IK, it's a crazy idea, but maybe it helps
ragards - Cartman
Edit: flash custom kernel via fastboot, (which is usual the way), so you do not need flashmode
I will unlock the bootloader, if it's really necessary (i think it's not unlocked). Though i'm pretty sure i CAN'T, since i can't use fastboot, same problem as flashmode.
AW: Handful of problems!
well, first unlock bl and try, if that won't work, then you have to live without wifi.

sony boot you say, then you were at stock kernel. Look for a JB kernel like LuPuS, nAa, etc and flash it via Flashtool. Then boot to recovery, either by back button or volume down button depending on the kernel then wipe all, flash respective rom, flash gapps then modules.
thanks for fast answers!!!

nevermind sony pc companion if you want a custom JB rom.
First check if your bootloader is unlocked by entering in dialer:
*#*#7378423#*#*
then navigate to System Info>Configuration then check if Bootloader Unlocked:yes, if it says allowed:no, you have to bring it to sony and pay for it to be unlocked,. Or unlock it with testpoint method, which I think is delicate.
Make sure ADB is on.
click the link below then choose the respective kernel for your ROM:
Kernels
choose if it is 4.1 or 4.1.2 or 4.2 or what is based by your chosen ROM.
Turn off phone>hold the menu button(back button, home button, menu button) then connect it to pc
Open flashtool>click the thunder>Fastboot mode>Select kernel to Flash then navigate to the file.

try fastboot....see if the led turns blue..[power + vol up for fastboot]
if it turns blue...its not hard brick...flash kernel..then flash rom
How did you flash it? If you were using PC Companion or SUS, I believe the warranty may cover that.
Otherwise, let's see...
According to Google search, the Qualcomm CPU has a built-in USB download mode, which is the "Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008" that you see. When the device fails to boot it will enter this mode.
Perhaps try to enter flashmode?
Pull out the battery and wait for about a minute or so.
Insert the battery, close the back cover, then hold Volume Down key.
Insert USB cable and wait for the PC to detect it.
If the PC detects it, then flash (again)!
If the PC does not detect it or it detects as "QDLoader" again, perhaps try to pull out the battery and wait longer...
If it keeps entering "QDLoader" then your phone is really hard-bricked. It may still be possible to reflash, but we don't have the drivers and files, so just send it back to warranty, whatever.
* Just by the way, I think you can also enter the "QDLoader" mode by pressing Power + Vol Up + Vol Dn?

For everyone with the brick situation, do you have a locked bootloader?
I know one user said they tried the volume down+insert USB cable into the computer, you did try this with PC Companion ready to repair the software?
Sony Update Service restores the bootloader on locked bootloader phones, true? If the stock bootloader is corrupt somehow, SUS could repair it.

Also, I can't get my phone to connect in flash mode when I connect it to my pc so as to install the official ftf file I've downloaded, becase when I try to connect it with my pc, the phone's led just turns up red, then green (for just some seconds), and then goes back to the booting screen!!!! I have an Xperia M single sim, rooted, with a locked bootloader!! PLEASE HELP ME, I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO ANYMORE!!!!! :'(
