[help]bricked xperia play

ok,i think i killed my phone
i have r800i and,flashed xdark ics with doom kernel.rom was solid but i had battery draining so,i decide to reflash stock rom using flash tool(freflshed from differnet rom 2 days ago),and got some error :ERR_SEVERITY="MAJOR";ERR_CLASS="SECURITY_CLASS";ERR_STATIC="SIN_HEAD_VER";ERR_DYNAMIC="Failed to verify sin header";
after that my phone doesnt boot.it shows triangle,phone and exclamation mark
im on win 7on pc,i have latest flashtool(reinstalated several times)
tried to reinstall all drivers,tried to repair with pc companion.
flashtool reckognise fastboot,and i can flash different kernels(doomlord or any stock kernel when i extract it form ftf file),but i cant get to cwm or reflash ftf file using flashmode.same error keep poping up.i also cant flash system via fastboot.
any sugestions?
also when i connect phone in flashmode my pc see him as usb mass storrage device(in control panel)

ok i connected phone and s1 tool have only 3 buttons : do job,stop and quit?no restore button.
also s1 tool see my phone as r800x not r800i,i supose it messed up when i flashed xdark ics rom

i m just curious what the "cause" of this? now i m very afraid flashing my phone
if not mistaken there's special case with xperia x10 prototype,if you have this thing you will get sin head error everytime you flash is there any connection?

i tried with older version of flashtool (0,5,3,0)and it see that is not checked usb debbuging and unknown sources.but i cant turn on my phone to check those boxes,is there any way to bypass this?

There might be a different way if you can flash kernals try this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2075562 Its TWRP kernal its the one I use download the one for Play and fastboot that.Note only a few roms work with this at the moment but if you can get at least one rom booted it will be a start.If you get it to boot download a compatible rom and flash don't forget full wipe :fingers-crossed:

tnx a ton man finaly some improvement,im able to enter twrp recovery,now to find some rom.ill post results later.maybe this will be usefull for someone else too

No problem take your time look up all information on Twrp and how to use it and what roms are compatible here is very good noob guide to Twrp

[Q] Xperia Arc Disaster! Help please!

Hi everybody,
I own Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc (LT15i) which no longer lives under the warranty time period. It became extremely slow, so I decided to flash a new ROM on it in attempt to see if that made it any faster. I rooted it and installed ClockworkMod Recovery on the phone and attempted to flash Xperia Ultimate HD 5.01 through CWM. The installation went perfectly fine, however after I did the reboot my phone doesn't get past the Sony Ericsson logo.
I've looked up all sorts of ways to fix soft bricked and bootlooped Arc's but none seem to work. When I try to use flashtool, I can't seem to be able to connect the phone to the computer and Windows comes up with "USB Device not recognized" and flashtool automatically aborts flashing. When I try to use PC Companion to repair the device, Windows doesn't recognize the device and neither does PC Companion. The same thing happens with Update Service.
I cannot enter flashmode, cannot get anywhere past the Sony Ericsson logo (including trying to access ClockworkMod Recovery) and cannot seem to get Windows to recognize the device. All drivers are installed both from Sony and flashtool.
Is there any other way I can recover my device? Thanks in advance for all help!

I can pretty much understand your situation, but this is where we start to have a better understanding of our own device and learn from our mistake.
In fact if you want to use flash tool, you will need to prepare your PC to recognize your mobile, by means of installing appropriate drivers, commonly known as Google SDK drivers.
I shall resume somehow here and try to find a good link for you to read :cyclops:
1. Your PC need to have latest version of JAVA
2. Install Google SDK, choose appropriate drivers and apps to be installed
3.Install flashtool and appropriate devices drivers.
Try to follow this link :

2. Flashing Kernel and Rom. Be careful with compatibility and other issues, you always have surprises here

The problem is that you have GB kernel, but using ICS ROM. These 2 do not work together.
Try another USB cable and/or USB port and try Flashtool/PC Companion again.

Tried that. Still no results. I've also tried using fastboot, and yes I did install all the drivers as well as the Android SDK along with the Java DK. When I enter
fastboot devices​
I get no response... When I try to flash a kernel using
fastboot flash boot bootARC.img​
It says waiting for device forever. The phone is plugged in and the blue light is on. The screen is still off though. When I connect it in fastboot mode to Flashtool it has the same problem (doesn't recognize the device).
Would Sony be able to fix it for me if I handed it in? Even though my warranty has been void for over a year I could probably just pay for the repair. At this rate I doubt it's possible for me to fix it...

Well that might be the issue,W8.I have W7 and XP never had a problem.
Did you try to run flashtool and connect the phone via usb(turn it off and just connect it don't hold any buttons,if that doesn't woek try turning it on and then connect it)-so that way flashtool might detect the device.Hope you'll get it to work.If nothing helps than try searching on google about these issues for win8.

Did you increase your system and data partition into 419 MB and 440 MB? Because if you haven't you'll get a bootloop with Xperia Ultimate HD 5.01 since this rom needs that space. I read that you have to flash Arc S kernel to achieve this but im stuck at this point because the partitions won't change for me :/

To use fastboot, install the drivers by this method.
The only working method to install fastboot on Windows 8.

I am using Xperia arc lt15 to 4 years.I flash any type Rom in this phone.its very hardcore smartphone because I 40-60 times flash different custom and ftf official Rom.if u need any help about this phone tell me.

tried to update it, but when the middle it was extinguished the device and when I tried to turn it on again it was not respond only shows a green light repeatedly, but the screen remains black and when I'm trying to connected it to computer ,it only connect by flash boot. i tried to connected it by fast boot or PC Companion but no thing happened
Can you help me please

With what did you try to upgrade and how? It seems your update has gone wrong, as you state, it got terminated in the middle? Probably if you connect through fastboot, or flashtool for windows, you can put in a new kernel and the rom. It seems your phones kernel is broken too. It should be fine once you install a new kernel and rom.

But so do I upload new kernel or to break the bootloader from these pages you gave it to me, so i have to work through a Fastboot, and this is the problem my device is not connected to the computers through the Fastboot, the mobile always on Flashboot, I tried to load the kernel via the Flash tools but useless, even the Pc Combanion i tried to flash a new software but no thing happened

Hello! i am new in this forum and i dont know how this work but i have a problem and i need help! I made a flashboot in my sony xperia and now the phone is stuck in sony logo and i try to recovery by PC Comapanion and the software say that my phone no longer haver support because i made the bootloader thing....
I am desesperate and i dont know what to do now!, sorry for my ignorance i hope that this forum can help me!

What model xperia do you have?
What did you do to your phone? Did you try and flash a boot.img or something.
Need more detail to help fix.
Maybe power off your phone. Hold down vol- as you plug USB cord and maybe PC companion will then see you phone
Or maybe
Download the phones firmware as a .ftf file
Flash firmware with flash tool.

I Have the Sony Xperia M (C1905)
I try to put the cyanogenmod android 5.1 and i was following a tuturial in youtube and i have made some mistake or i not did well the flashboot and for some way my phone its looping in sony logo, i unlok the bootloader and now the pc companion dont let me recovery the phone because have a unknow software installed....
exists some way do recovery the boot and the original software without pc companion?
I am very greatfull for the fast response and disponibility to solve this problem!

You said you unlocked the bootloader. Did you replace the boot.img? If so have you been able to get into recovery by holding VOL + while phone starts?
What video did you watch on YouTube and how far did you get?
Unlocked bootloader
Replacing boot.IMG (OK installed recovery)
Enter recovery and flashed ROM.
Have you tried turning your phone off. Open up PC companion. Then connect up your phone while holding VOL - down?

I unlook the bootloader and i put boot.img but when i switch on the phone he frozen in the sony logo its the far i can get, and when i switch the phone holding volume up dont do anything only the frozen sony logo,
and now another problem my computer and the pc companion dont recognize my phone when i connet the phone holding VOL - down, say that i connect a unknow device and the windows dont recognize
i try the step to install using the emma software but the software dont recognize the phon to holding de VOL-
i know is a litlle confunsing i am not a expert....i am very greatfull for your patience!

[NOWFIXED] my xperia wont go pas the sonylogoafter i flashed thewrongkernel

Here is how i bricked my device:
->I had problems with Cyanogenmod ROM so i downloaded Flashtool...
->then i flashed stock firmware and it has another issue iethe battery wont charge and i had to keep itplugged in whole night still dint do anything.
->then i replaced the kernel ..but unfortunately it was for the Xperia Z.from this point onward it will just show the Sony logo for 4-5 secs and then reboot
-> i treid DooMKernel and it did allow me to go to recovery but i dont know wat to do after that cuz i tried flashing a custom ROM like extinZ but no luck.
-things that i treid to do
-switched USB ports
-Flashed alot of kernel and roms
-tried switching pc's
-charging over 24 hours
------NONE of these solved my issue-------

Hi dear, u can try flash your ZL with this official tool from sony "Emma flash tool", just hold volume button up and plug your phone in.
Make sure you have installed driver for your device and highspeed internet connection for direct download new firmware and Emma will take the rest.
Your phone will be life again for sure.

Thanks dude .. later i got it running cm 11 and found out that the battery has been damagd thanks for your help!
