I need your help! My phone total bricked,
My computer suddenly shutdown when i flash my phone.
Now no led indication, can't turn on, only detect Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008 Driver.

try fastboot....see if the led turns blue..[power + vol up for fastboot]
if it turns blue...its not hard brick...flash kernel..then flash rom
How did you flash it? If you were using PC Companion or SUS, I believe the warranty may cover that.
Otherwise, let's see...
According to Google search, the Qualcomm CPU has a built-in USB download mode, which is the "Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008" that you see. When the device fails to boot it will enter this mode.
Perhaps try to enter flashmode?
Pull out the battery and wait for about a minute or so.
Insert the battery, close the back cover, then hold Volume Down key.
Insert USB cable and wait for the PC to detect it.
If the PC detects it, then flash (again)!
If the PC does not detect it or it detects as "QDLoader" again, perhaps try to pull out the battery and wait longer...
If it keeps entering "QDLoader" then your phone is really hard-bricked. It may still be possible to reflash, but we don't have the drivers and files, so just send it back to warranty, whatever.
* Just by the way, I think you can also enter the "QDLoader" mode by pressing Power + Vol Up + Vol Dn?

it turns blue for me... But where do i get kernel and rom of xperia m? I have searched on this forum but couldn't figured out yet. Any help would be appreciated

k np...no need of kernel i think...just flash rom..\
rom will be mention as firmware...so please dont confuse...rom and firmware are same...
download a .ftf of ur latest firmware of ur device[c1904/c1905/c2004/c2005 i think u know urs..] and flashtool...
use flashtool and flash the ftf...
u can see the firmware in xperia m android development...

Hi I got a similar case :/ I was partitioning my sd card with Aparted but as soon as I turned off my Xperia M to reboot it it got bricked and hasn't been working since. Cant get it to into flashboot mode or flashmode to flash the original firmware. No lights or buttons are working although when I connect it to my pc it detects it in usb but not as the phone itself. Is there anyway at all I can fix this. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I know one user said they tried the volume down+insert USB cable into the computer, you did try this with PC Companion ready to repair the software?
Sony Update Service restores the bootloader on locked bootloader phones, true? If the stock bootloader is corrupt somehow, SUS could repair it.

I am having the same issues as well, but with my Xperia V. It doesn't come up at all. It only shows the green LED when I try to fastboot or try flash mode. Please help me to resolve. I can't stand the wait for waranty to resolve. How can I still flash custom ROM?

u need to unlock bootloader first...then u can...
Hi The problem is that the phone c2005 flash mode is not the case for the moment the green light turns on and then turns off and the phone is in a state of zeus mode.

Root > Unlock your Bootloader > Flash Custom ROM from flashtool or from CWM recovery mode
This qdloader is how Sony load the phone with software in the first place. Qualcomm's version of flashmode. Afaik only OEM have access to the software for this.

hey buddy..here is the 100 % working solution
dowload these first
1. ftf file for xperia m dual c2004 - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=53348374&postcount=1
2. xperia flash tool - http://sd-64701.dedibox.fr/page/news/flashtool-0.9.16.0-windows.exe-download
procedure
1) install the xperia flash tool
2) extract the 1st part of dwonloaded ftf using winzip. It will automatically extract all the other into a single file.
3) Go to the installed location of flash tool.Click divers and install necessary drivers.
4) Now run the flashtool. Click on flash icon and choose flashmode.
5) browse the ftf file u extracted and click on flash
6) now the files will be prepared for flash. A pop up appears and asks u to connect the phone.
7) turn off the device . PRESS THE VOLUME DOWN BUTTON AND THEN CONNECT TO THE PC USING USB CABLE.
8) Flashing starts to proceed.
9) After flash is complete unplug the device . Remove the battery . After few minutes insert the battery and turn on the device
10) intitial boot takes time.

Guys, i need help too!!!! :'(
I tried to swap my internal and my external memory by using the mothod on a video on youtube called "how to swap xperia m /dual on 4.3".
And here's what happened after I rebooted: My xperia M is stuck on the boot screen (it goes till the multicoloured wave), and then it starts up again and again and again!!!! Also, I can't get my phone to connect in flash mode when I connect it to my pc so as to install the official ftf file I've downloaded, becase when I try to connect it with my pc, the phone's led just turns up red, then green (for just some seconds), and then goes back to the booting screen!!!! I have an Xperia M single sim, rooted, with a locked bootloader!! PLEASE HELP ME, I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO ANYMORE!!!!! :'(

while the phone is off connect it to pc, open Flashtool in fastboot mod. Flash a stock FW.
If that doesnt work open PC companion it should ask u to repair it if u follow istructions.
@deniel: It doesn't connect neither PC Companion or Flashtool. It doesn't enter in flashmode.

bricked phone have to be OFF(remove battery and put back if necesaary if it's stuck at sony screen), prepare flashtool ftf and follow onscreen instruction and the flashtool will revive the phone.
Or maybe you could show the error msg from flashtool.
you are really bold in trying the untested bootunlocker, this definitely is a hard brick. hope you get out of this one.

I bricked my phone 5 times and always solved like me and him said so tell us how the screenr reaction and the flashtool error

Sorry for asking again: You started FlashTool (v0.9.8.0), clicked on the flash icon, selected "FlashMode", chose a firmware for your Arc S, activated "No final verification", clicked "OK", pressed the back button on the switched off phone WHILE plugging in the USB-Cable? No green LED - nothing? Did it work before?

Sorry if we repeat the same thing, but it must work like this: you hve the phone off and unplugged. You open flashtool, select the flash icon (flashtool), select the FW, and it tell u to plug the device to pc while holdin back button.
Sure u hold the the backbutton while pluggin in? and after have selected the FW ?
You've to select the firmware first before plugging it in.

I know my friend. I flashed many many times. From X8 to XU till ArcS. I know flashtool. It doesn't connect. Only with testpoint said ZEUS flash device but it doesnt connect to flashtool neither PC Companion.

The problem is that I've forgot to run the 2nd part - device optimization, and now the touchscreen simply doesn't work...
Can't do nothing - USB Debugging is on by default (never forget that I can't touch the phone)
Can't upload another rom via flashtool, the only thing I'm able to do is change the kernel with the 1_lt18i_4.1.B.0.431_kernelDowngrade
If I try to put the uptodate kernel, flashtool stops on "Reading Device Information"
Already try to restore it with Pc companion, but no luck
USB device is detecting LT15 on windows!
This is a total mess, I'm lost, and I've googled and tryed dozens of things all day long.. I'm tyred, exhausted, and my 2 day old ARC S is bricked!!
Can someone point me a way out??
Remember:
- USB debbug of (have no access to activate it)
- CMW disapeared when installed this rom, so have no recovery menu
- Bootloader is locked
- Can't flash rom via flashtool

I've been searching tutorials from start to finish and can't find solution to my problem.
I have a Arc S from a friend that's bricked it gets stuck on sony ericcson logo.
Tried PC Companion not detected
Tried Update Service not detected
Tried Flashtool it detects phone as connected but without developer mode

Tried that already, when i hold the buttons (either back or menu) no led lights up when i connect usb it just shows the sony ericsson logo...

From what i've been told it died overnight during an OTA update.
The only too ways the computer detects it is by getting stuck on sony logo and flashtool detecting it as usb debug disabled or by doing the testpoint and computer detecting it as a Zeus Flash Device.
All the other ways, holding buttons etc's always gets me to the stuck logo no leds no nothing.

If you can't get the Phone in flashmode as you've already stated then you need a service centre. The only other alternative is to contact Alejandrissimo or Jinx13 who have SETool and will try and help remotely.

So were you just doing a standard OTA update and then you ran out of battery?
If you want, you could try Sony's new EMMA software for returning devices with unlocked bootloaders back to stock.
Did you unbricked you phone? I have the same problem after a wipe data from clocworkmod and i am unable to go in flashmode or recovery. Fashtool detect my device but just like your with debug off...
So did you manage to fix your device? Thx and srru for my bad english. Oh and my phone is locked.

I got the fastboot working so i messed around and got the dommkernel working.Though my pc isnt recognising the drivers and im looking for a fix.Once thats done i'll restore the system and hopefully get it fixed.

I tried to install Ice Bean rom on my device using CWM and when it asked to reboot my device
my phone stuck to Sony Logo and doesn't respond to anything...
my pc doesn't recognize it (as if nothing is connected to my pc)
when i hold back button and press on power button it only blink blue for 1 sec and led goes off

It's simple dude you have to go to bootloader mode. press and hold menu button untill you plugged your device into the pc/laptop.

Then do a fresh installation through the flashtool. flash a official firmware and do the same procedure from the beginning.

Oh, dude flashtool just need your device driver and you have to press back button untill you connect your phone on your pc and it also shown on flashtool which is included in procedure of flashing through flashtool and one thing PC not need to recognized your device because flashtool is the only one method to recover bricked phone. that's it .. if you got confused then please search on google you will find the solution.

I have to explain the situation just to make things more clear because it looks like you misunderstand me
when I connect my phone (in all modes "Bootloader, Fastboot, normal, recovery..etc) nothing happens on my pc
even in device manager (i'm using Microsoft windows) the system doesn't show any item for a new attached device or an item for an defined attached driver (which used to appear all modes)
the flashtool needs the system to find an attached device to communicate with (usually the attached device name looks like "android phone", SE android or something this (depends on ur phone brand, model)
now since my system doesn't find any device when I connect my mobile then the flashtool won't be able to communicate with my device (even if i tried to boot my device in all modes "bootloader, fastboot, normal, recovery) by holding specific buttons (menu or volumn down or back buttons)
and if you read my question you will see that i was asking if anyone knows any way to connect my phone using testpoints or something like this because i though maybe I can let my pc to recognize my phone using the testpoints method.

Is your bootloader unlocked?If its locked then try to fix it with SEUS not PC Companion downlod SEUS and try.

I am not able to put my xperia m in flashmode using the flashtool. I tried turning off phone and then holding volume down and inserting the USB cable but nothing happens, there is no led flashing when i do that. Also my phone is not charging while connected to pc when its turned off.
I have every driver installed and i am using the lastest version of flashtool.
Dude you need to hold Vol + button to enter in fastboot.
I have tried both volume up and vol down nothing happens.

Does your phone charge through your charger when it is switched off?
when you connect your phone to pc in normal mode then does it detects??
No my phone doesn't charge with the charger when its turned off. And my pc detects my phone when connected normally.

i have bricked my phone as well.. yes it turns blue after pushing and holding +volume up and it does charge through charger when it is switched off... How do i unbrick my phone if its a semi-brick??

If it's a soft brick, you can repair from PCC or flash using flashtool.

hard brick means ur phone will not even show a blink and led wont work even in fastboot..
u r having a soft-brick...means u have done something in system folder..
anyway to get phone to work...
download a .ftf of ur latest firmware of ur device[c1904/c1905/c2004/c2005 i think u know urs..] and flashtool...
use flashtool and flash the ftf...
u can see the firmware in xperia m android development...

So i have bricked my phone as well? How i am supposed to unbrick it with flashtool. As i already said the problem in the topic, nothing happens while holding vol + and inserting cable.

It must be a hard-brick bro.. You should take it to the repair center..

Lets just analyze your problem:
You launched flashtool and started a flash session.And then a window appeared in flashtool saying that you have to connect your phone in flashmode. You pressed Volume+ and connected your phone.
I want to know what happened next,
Did the window telling you to connect the device in flashmode close down automatically?
Was a pop-pup shown in your pc telling you to choose your phone model?
If these didnt happen, what else did?
I can help you certainly if you can answer these questions.

If it's a hard brick we can do nothing about it.

Finally fixed the problem. I just pulled out the battery and left it for a minute then inserted again. Now everything is working fine.

I'm having a similar problem, the phone I'm trying to repair doesn't enter on flashmode, only on fastboot mode, and I need to unlock bootloader and I can't because I can't put it on flashmode.... do you have any suggestions?

having the same problem my phone neither turn on or enter in flashmode
when i connect it to charge or any there source it just showing blue led... initially i was able to flash but every time i got some error now it just not doing anything please help... i m using c1904 xperia m:crying:

having a similar problem.... all the methods suggested above require the phone to be in flashmode. and flashtool shows error while flashing ftf file.... help please.. thank you
Hello! i am new in this forum and i dont know how this work but i have a problem and i need help! I made a flashboot in my sony xperia and now the phone is stuck in sony logo and i try to recovery by PC Comapanion and the software say that my phone no longer haver support because i made the bootloader thing....
I am desesperate and i dont know what to do now!, sorry for my ignorance i hope that this forum can help me!

What model xperia do you have?
What did you do to your phone? Did you try and flash a boot.img or something.
Need more detail to help fix.
Maybe power off your phone. Hold down vol- as you plug USB cord and maybe PC companion will then see you phone
Or maybe
Download the phones firmware as a .ftf file
Flash firmware with flash tool.

I Have the Sony Xperia M (C1905)
I try to put the cyanogenmod android 5.1 and i was following a tuturial in youtube and i have made some mistake or i not did well the flashboot and for some way my phone its looping in sony logo, i unlok the bootloader and now the pc companion dont let me recovery the phone because have a unknow software installed....
exists some way do recovery the boot and the original software without pc companion?
I am very greatfull for the fast response and disponibility to solve this problem!
You said you unlocked the bootloader. Did you replace the boot.img? If so have you been able to get into recovery by holding VOL + while phone starts?
What video did you watch on YouTube and how far did you get?
Unlocked bootloader
Replacing boot.IMG (OK installed recovery)
Enter recovery and flashed ROM.
Have you tried turning your phone off. Open up PC companion. Then connect up your phone while holding VOL - down?

I unlook the bootloader and i put boot.img but when i switch on the phone he frozen in the sony logo its the far i can get, and when i switch the phone holding volume up dont do anything only the frozen sony logo,
and now another problem my computer and the pc companion dont recognize my phone when i connet the phone holding VOL - down, say that i connect a unknow device and the windows dont recognize
i try the step to install using the emma software but the software dont recognize the phon to holding de VOL-
i know is a litlle confunsing i am not a expert....i am very greatfull for your patience!
