I am currently using ARHD 6.1.1 with CWM 5.8.4.0.
My accounts & sync seems to be unstable or not saved to the system. There were instances where the accounts just seem to disappear when I went to check the settings or that Facebook (and others) require me to login again despite having already saved the details.
Now my auto-sync/sync all appears to be stuck/failing as well. Does anyone know what is the root of this problem?
Thanks in advance!
Hi - did you ever manage to resolve this problem?
I'm getting a similar issue, only on a different device...

Hey guys, I can't get my Google Calendar to SYNC at all with CM6?
I think it actually used to sync fine and after one nightly I manually applied the Market fix, Facebook sync fix, and Froyo audio decoder 'fix' and ever since that day I have not been able to sync my google calendar at all (on CM6 only).
Even after re flashing to a stock 2.2 Rom (to try it out) and re flashing to the latest CM6 nightly I still cannot sync calendar (and yes I wiped). I wonder if there is something on my SD card or something that google is trying to restore (from backup) that is causing this.
My hunch was that hacked facebook.apk that is needed to sync on CM6 is causing the google calendar sync issue. But even after removing facebook all together that did not solve the issue.
At this point I am stuck because even after a freash flash of CM6 Calendar still does not sync.
My calendar syncs just fine with the latest nightly of CM6.. I've never had a problem with it and I have been using the nightly builds since they were started a few weeks back.
Go to Menu -> Settings -> Accounts and sync settings -> 'Your Google Account
Is 'Sync Calendar' checked? Check it if it is not and then hit Menu -> Sync Now

If it were that easy I would not have posted here. I have already tried that. My calendar used to ssync just fine. Not sure what I did. but now I cannot get it to sync at all even after flashing a new version of CM6.
That leads me to beleive there is a problem with my google account maybe or something is remaining around on my phone after a wipe.
I would think the latter is more likely because I can sync my calendar just fine on the stock 2.2 froyo or on older eclair roms.

Hmm.. What recovery do you use to wipe with? Maybe try updating/switching recovery versions to alleviate the wiping issue. Wipe data.. Wipe cache.. Wipe dalvik.. Even wipe SD after backing it up to PC if you truly want to start from scratch!
Since I got the phone from stock to custom roms, I havent been able to access my contact card..just stuck on loading screen, tried looking around but no luck anyone help me with this? Thanks!
I've been finding the same thing on my device, tried several 'fixes' i found on the net but so far nothing has worked.
Same issue on my Desire, have you found a solution ?
Thanks
It's the way you restore contacts I found using a vcard saved messes it up but if it is synced with gmail fullwipe done and then restored contacts with sync it works

Right, every time I can set up my blueyonder email address on the phone(desire) using the email widget thing no problems, but when it retrieves them it usually wipes any previous emails of the phone or it only downloads a few of them and then wipes them as well when it updates, the only roms it has worked properly on is the stock rom and LeeDoid 2.3d, can't get it to work on redux, miui and I've tried a couple of gingerbread roms. Anybody else have this problem or know solution to it ? It's not a deal breaker on with roms more of an annoyance.
cheers
bump.
any ideas anybody ?
Gingerbread roms contain an updated Mail.apk which provide a few features not in FroYo. I only tried a 2.3 rom for a few hours (won't go into the details). So if I remember correctly there were options to delete emails from the phone when they got deleted off the server and a few others (have a look in settings) such as the option for downloading x number of messages. Also, set your 'Download Options' to 'By Days: All".
Sorry I couldn't give you detailed instructions ;-)
Anyway, hope this helps!

i've had the same issue on several 0.3.x versions of sandvolds ICS (wich is the foundation of dk_zero-cool's roms) and the solution in my case was simply to be patient. after having waited for several hours incidentally the syncing would have worked - for no recognizable reason.
hi Guys,
Tried all fixes on dk-zero rom xenmonkey & also been waiting for nearly 2 weeks for calendar for syncing to occur, still no joy.
Any other suggestions?
Thanks
have you cleared data from calendar and calendarstorage (go to setting > apps > all the pick them from the list)?
I can also remember getting it to work by flashing the calendar downgrade, restarting, clearing data (as above), flashing the caledar fix, restarting and then clearing data. Then starting calendar and giving it a little while to sync. Though I'm not sure which step "worked".
You should flash the Calendar 4.0.1 downgrade and then read and follow the instructions printed as output after flashing. (I thought it was delete app data of calendar )
Hi guys,
I'm sure there is a simple fix for this, but I've been searching all over the internet(s) and can't seem to fix the problem. I flashed Liquid JB a few days ago, and other than this sync issue, everything has been going well. From what I've gathered, this is an issue linked to restoring Google information through Titanium, instead of letting the phone sync on its own.
If this is simply "factory reset and begin anew," or flash a different ROM, that's okay with me; however, I'm just curious as to why I can't enable auto-sync on either my Google account or my FB account.
Am I on the right track? Any one have information on what's going on?
I think it's more likely a ROM issue. I've tried some ROMs where it works and some where it hasn't

Make sure you flashed the gaaps package. I've never used liquid but there have been a few times where I've been wtf I have no contact info and I had forgot to flash the gaaps. You can just flash them at your current state right now it won't harm anything.
As far as fb goes I use haxsync to link fb to my contacts so I'm not sure on that one.

Before doing a factory reset I would try wiping days from Google Services Framework and from the Play Store. Reboot, then sign back in to the Play Store...
