i've had the same issue on several 0.3.x versions of sandvolds ICS (wich is the foundation of dk_zero-cool's roms) and the solution in my case was simply to be patient. after having waited for several hours incidentally the syncing would have worked - for no recognizable reason.
hi Guys,
Tried all fixes on dk-zero rom xenmonkey & also been waiting for nearly 2 weeks for calendar for syncing to occur, still no joy.
Any other suggestions?
Thanks
have you cleared data from calendar and calendarstorage (go to setting > apps > all the pick them from the list)?
I can also remember getting it to work by flashing the calendar downgrade, restarting, clearing data (as above), flashing the caledar fix, restarting and then clearing data. Then starting calendar and giving it a little while to sync. Though I'm not sure which step "worked".
You should flash the Calendar 4.0.1 downgrade and then read and follow the instructions printed as output after flashing. (I thought it was delete app data of calendar )

Hey guys, I can't get my Google Calendar to SYNC at all with CM6?
I think it actually used to sync fine and after one nightly I manually applied the Market fix, Facebook sync fix, and Froyo audio decoder 'fix' and ever since that day I have not been able to sync my google calendar at all (on CM6 only).
Even after re flashing to a stock 2.2 Rom (to try it out) and re flashing to the latest CM6 nightly I still cannot sync calendar (and yes I wiped). I wonder if there is something on my SD card or something that google is trying to restore (from backup) that is causing this.
My hunch was that hacked facebook.apk that is needed to sync on CM6 is causing the google calendar sync issue. But even after removing facebook all together that did not solve the issue.
At this point I am stuck because even after a freash flash of CM6 Calendar still does not sync.
My calendar syncs just fine with the latest nightly of CM6.. I've never had a problem with it and I have been using the nightly builds since they were started a few weeks back.
Go to Menu -> Settings -> Accounts and sync settings -> 'Your Google Account
Is 'Sync Calendar' checked? Check it if it is not and then hit Menu -> Sync Now

If it were that easy I would not have posted here. I have already tried that. My calendar used to ssync just fine. Not sure what I did. but now I cannot get it to sync at all even after flashing a new version of CM6.
That leads me to beleive there is a problem with my google account maybe or something is remaining around on my phone after a wipe.
I would think the latter is more likely because I can sync my calendar just fine on the stock 2.2 froyo or on older eclair roms.

Hmm.. What recovery do you use to wipe with? Maybe try updating/switching recovery versions to alleviate the wiping issue. Wipe data.. Wipe cache.. Wipe dalvik.. Even wipe SD after backing it up to PC if you truly want to start from scratch!
I'm having a weird issue. No matter which ROM I use... stock, 2.1 or 3.0 Sense, I am unable to sync my contacts through google or my exchange account. It just keeps trying to sync but doesn't really sync. It sync'd a single contact only. Email and calendar syncs fine so I'm at a lost at what's going on... Anyone have any ideas? I wiped a bazillion times with Cal's format all and Amon 2.3 recovery's own wipe option. Tried flashing all types of ROMS but no goo...

Look at an individual contact that is not syncing, and make sure it says google on the top right.
Edit: You have to set each one manually. It can be a pain, but it's worth it when you are done.
Option 2 is to export your contacts to SD, then upload that file to your gmail via computer. All of your contacts will now be saved to google, but when it syncs you will have double contacts, and will have to delete or link each one.
Either way is a pain, but once your finished, you won't have to do it again.
So I tried the very old WarmTwoPointTwo RLS5 and on that particular ROM, my contacts sync perfectly... then I tried to flash some other ROMs but they still have the same issue... =T The only thing I can think of that I did recently is flash the new radio and then the combo file that includes the newest radio and other stuff...
Did you update the radio after the other rom worked? Try this when you install the new rom connect with wifi before you sign into your gmail and see if that works
Im running AOKP #12 with francos kernel. I was trying to figure out why my calendar event wasnt showing up on the web that i added via business calendars. Turns out i dont have the calendar app any longer. i checked under settings and nothing there. I cleared storage as an attempt before releasing the entire app was gone and now business calendar is empty as well.
Does anyone have a link to the gapps download so that i can reinstall? or a better idea on how to fix this?
edit: nvm found the zip on clockwordmod
Hey,
flash this build http://rootzwiki.com/topic/11455-rom-android-open-kang-project-maguro-build-13/
I am using that build and have the calender app and its also the latest build of AOKP
Is there any app, which can backup my contacts along with the joined contacts information without rooting the phone?
I have many contacts which i have joined with FB, Twitter etc., and I don't want the re-merge all of them again after flasing my phone or deleting the People app cache.
My phone is not rooted and It is stock 4.0.4 yakju build.
I found out some Threads about It, but It is not suitable because I don't have a rooted phone to use Titanium Backup. Besides, I have already tried to use Go Contacts, and also to export my contacts as CVS, but none of those solutions worked.
Please, Is there any app to backup all merged contacts without rooting the phone?Or is it possible to backup and restore my contacts with ABD without rooting the phone?
I appreciate any help you can give me

Hello,
thanks for helping.
The suggested app only syncs FB contacts with the phone contacts, It doesn't backup any merged contacts. If you manually merge your contacts, You will lost all the merged contacts when you flash your phone or clean People app data.
I am searching for app to backup all merged contacts without rooting the phone. Does someone know an app ou ADB command to do it?
thanks in advance
anyone?any clue?
i too would like to know this. anyone? my phone is rooted
This problem is in Android since version 1.x
You can't sync those things back from the phone to Google Contacts. Only what you edit or put into Google Contacts on the desktop or Web interface sticks and gets synced back into the phone.
I had the prob before on my HTC Legend and Samsung G5 and still on the Galaxy Nexus.
There are countless threads across all device forums and Google Bug Reports about it and different implementations for all phones and skins (sense, tw, blur).
Only solution is to edit Google Contacts directly and use it as the Master, phone will always be the slave.

Every stock calendar 4.1.2 and mods reset his settings after reboot. The synch of events stored.
If i use the Google calendar from market all is ok.
Some one a idea for this problem
Found it. Google is not copatible to stock calendar. After uninstaling, i have to delete data/data/Android.calendar reboot and it works fine again.
