[Q] Xperia Play CM9 Rom no root access? - Xperia Play Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello, I would have posted this on the Rom's thread but couldn't because I dont have 10 posts. I know that CM9 now has an option to enable and disable root access, but whenever i set this to anything that isnt "Disable" it is still disabled. How do I enable it? The setting doesnt seem to work :S

[Q] superuser and root help

Hello people and sorry to bother you but this is only my second post and I was wondering how to fix my issue.I have virus kingdom Rom and everything is good. I woke up this morning and I went to use wireless thether for my laptop and it didn't worm it said device not rooted so then I went to check superuser and see if wireless thether was allowed but I couldn't find the superuser app. I know I have it installed cause when I go to manage applications I can see superuser but it won't let me open it and I can't find it in my app list. Can anybody tell me how to open superuser. Please help as soon as possible as. I have some important work things to do thanks in advance
just go to market and download super user. voila
Also check your app drawer settings to make sure it isn't hidden.

enable a disabled app?

I've disabled lots of apps I won't use - great feature, but I want to re-enable the stock browser to use it's download video feature.
Out of the whole list it's the only one that hasn't got a highlighted, 'pressable' enable button??
I tried uninstalling the Firefox Beta thinking it might ask what browser I wanted to use but no go.
Anybody got any idea please?

i had this too. but i had to do factory reset anyway, so that solved the problem. but otherwise i couldn't find a solution of how to re-enable stock browser
I couldn't even disable the stock browser so can't help there, but I could in 1.28
Ah... it's Eddy Elevate Didn't get an answer over there on the new help section so thought I'd risk it on here!
I think I'll just stick with Firefox, I really don't want to do a factory reset just after I've got everything just as I want it. I couldn't be bothered with another restore
Unless anyone else has an answer....
There must be a way of doing it, perhaps some sort of adb command?

[Guide] Get Camera Access on Stock 4.4 Secured Lock Screen

Hi,
Not sure if this is will be of any use to anyone, but just putting it out there.
I personally want to use my pattern password lock, but be able to to quick access camera. Since upgrading to 4.4 I haven't found any apps or mods that let me doit on root stock till now.
You'll need to be rooted first.
Install Xposed (you are on rooted stock, you do have this installed right? riiight?)
Combining these two mods got the camera access working.
Unlock effect before security widget

&
Enable camera on lockscreen

Enable them and reboot. Neither have a UI or any settings to control.
And everything should be working

How can I fully uninstall/install root on PA?

Pretty simple question... How can I fully uninstall/install root on PA?
Are you just trying to disable root?

Trying to disable root so I can use the "Three in Touch" app from Three, they've got some ****ty anti-root crap on it and I want/need to use their app sometimes. I wish the author of RootCloak and RootCloakPlus was still updating his app so he could bypass this one too.
I have no idea if it would work on Paranoid Android or not with root disabled (I tried in the Settings > Superuser > Disabled) but I was guessing thats not all of it removed....
You should be able to turn it off in developer options not in superuser settings.
