Anyone try Max Payne Mobile on rooted Kindle Fire and can verify that it works. It will work on my phone but I would rather play on the Kindle Fire. Wanted some verification before paying.

Good to know. I assume other ICS ROM will be fine since they use the same kernel. Thanks for the info.

I have always loved using chain fire, but for the life of me and flabbergasted that I cannot get it to work on jellybean. Does anyone have any kind of ideas?

I think it needs to be updated. Every time I tried to load it, it would soft brick my fire and I'd have to dirty flash the rom to get it back up.

I seem to be having the same issues on GNex AOKP JB 4.1.1 with Fanco #230 and Gapps for JB. Just can't seem to get it past the Google splash screen.
I know my install setup is good on ICS, but JB is JUST BULLHEADED when it comes to somethings right now.
Any updates or thoughts are always appreciated.
same issue on my kf. emailed the dev, no reply

same here, chainfire does not work on jelly bean (tried it on my htc one x)
same here, not work in x10 mini pro with minicm10
Nope, just accidentally bootlooped my Xperia Arc running Aokp CM10...
I can also confirm this...
Skyrocket with Paranoid Android ROM ... I really wanted to run HORN.
any news ?
bootloops my Galaxy S3 on JB stock ... cwm saved me ...
any news if there is development to update it ?
Same here for SG Note...
My N7000 has a brand new ParanoidAndroid v2.99 (JB 4.2.1) installation, and no go for CF3D here either. Stuck me at the 'GT-N7000' boot screen and I needed ADB in recovery to uninstall CF3D to get it running again. Bummed, I am. I need it to play Spectral Souls, which is supposed to just run on my machine
I was just wondering.

Clockwork Mod? No. If you use it you'll run into a whole bunch of problems. Use TWRP. SEARCH IS YOUR FRIEND!
Hi!
does anyone know how to connect a 3g dongle on the KF? does it depend on what ROM you are using or I just have to install or flash an app for it to function? currently using sgt7 ROM.

Hi, i like to think i sort of know what I'm talking about so here it goes.
I have a Kindle Fire HD 8.9"
I googled about and came across how to root, and that's all fine and dandy, what i want to know is if any or all of the following ROMs are compatible with my Kindle Fire HD 8.9", i don't want to just go willy nilly flashing roms lol

Thank you for any help you can give me on the matter!

None of those ROMs will work on the HD. Don't try to install them. The device is still in its infancy, therefore, so is the development.
There is still a lot of work being done on the kernel, but the few ROMs that are available are still good enough to use as your DD.

Hello, I am looking for a stable rom for my 8 y/o daughters Kindle. I was thinking about just unrooting it and letting her just use it that way. But I have a lot of games on my Play account that she will lose. Can you recommend any roms?
You want a stable rom? Well, then I recommend the HorseROM.
But seriously, I like twa_priv's work. Also take a look at the SmoothRom port by Ichigo.

Thank, I will take a look at those. One question are these roms like when you flash roms on your phone? It will get rid of the Amazon UI or OS and when she turns it on it goes directly to the rom I flashed?

On the official CyanogenMod 10.1 the final 100% stable general release will be being released soon. I'd try that

Hashcode's AOSP 4.2.2 is a great daily driver.
you can't go wrong with CM 10.1.2 stable.
I have the modaco rom on my son's and it's perfect for a kid. Stock rooted kindle amazon os with the Google play store.
I've noticed that the amazon os is much easier for a youngster to get the hang of.

The first two cyanogenmod roms I put on my kindle got stuck in 'setup manager has stopped working' loop. I installed 10.1-20130724-1413-otter-sgt7 and it's as stable as possible. Everything works perfectly. 100% recommended daily driver.
