Liquid smooth ROM - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

So I just got my phone back and I've come to discover that the thread for liquid smooth is gone, what happened?
I was hoping to upgrade to 1.4....

Mods closed it.

It was closed for violating forum rules for requiring donations for nightlies. A dialogue has been attempted to resolve this but so far has not reached a resolution that does not violate forum rules. Sorry. Hopefully the devs will agree to release and support their nightlies here on XDA.

Ouch that stinks, it's quite a good rom.
I'll try to track down 1.40 via Google somehow.

True, and 1.5 is dropping very soon.

Yes but will it be ported or released directly to the GN? I'd imagine they may be releasing via another forum.

Rootzwiki is just another Android forum...not as good as XDA, but it has what you need.

oh, i don't know. unlike xda it doesn't try and police the things happening on other parts of the internet that don't concern it.
going to #liquids on freenode is an easy way to get builds as they're released. and despite what they'll tell you here, donations are NOT required.
but you're not allowed to disagree or have an open dialog with the mods on xda so they'll lock this thread, most likely.

Awe someone is upset that other people on the internet don't agree with him. Boo hoo
"Long is the way, and hard, that out of hell leads up to light."

when i disagree with someone on the internet i don't censor them. the same cannot be said for xda mods. they locked several threads regarding the matter.
thanks so much for your contribution, though.

It wasn't a conspiracy, the mods have a post (and have linked it more than once) that proves that donations were asked to gain access to advance releases, nightlies, or whatever you want to call them. Not allowed on XDA. If it was a mistake on the team's part, then I am sure they can clear it up with the moderators here.

Is anyone working on the WebOS port?

Hey put that flame out!
If no one is working on it, I'll look into building it for the GalNex, though I'm by no means an expert... Just saying, I will if no one else is, someone's gotta do it!
If someone is working on it, fine, I'm not asking for an ETA!
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
I believe someone is working on it. I also believe it will take some time until a public stable release seeing how it worked at the moment.
im sure there is, devs arent allowed 'coming soon' threads on xda. also even if they did post and have updates to their progress it would be 1 page of information and 50 pages of noobs asking when can they download a 'stable perfect battery use' version that has no bugs at all. so basically it comes down to, waiting or learning on your own and being the one to 'bring it to the group'.

I find that hard to believe with this Moderation Team takes forever; the report or PM will be handle in an manner that is feasible, in other words, you will get addressed quickly. As far as "NO answer", I also beg to differ...if a PM was sent we will address.
We the Team of Moderators do not read every post and thread, that is why we rely on great Members like yourself to report or PM the Team of Moderators to handle issues/violations seen or witnessed. Hope you understand.

The N7100 doesn't have LTE hardware in it. The T889 T-Mobile variant clearly does. You cannot add capabilities to a device that it doesn't have the hardware for.

Cleaned.
Right, cleaned this thread of all the bad language and arguments.
I'd like to take this opportunity to remind members that XDA is a place for sharing, learning and last, but not least helping people develop, theme and improve their devices, not for silly little arguments in public forums - we're part of the same team, remember that.
In regards to people trying to help enforce the rules of xda, as much as we appreciate this, it's better if you let us deal with it, and help us by reporting any posts which violate the rules.
Some of the language in these posts have no place in XDA, what you might not find offensive, some people do. So lets do our best to not include any profane or foul language, thank you.
Anymore problems, use the right channels (the report feature).
Kind regards,
Lady Android
@Lady Android
Don't see why you didn't just close this thread. Your caring and relaxed attitude seems out of sync with other mods who feel that XDA is not for noobs, and especially not for noobs to bloat with their garbage, posted without reading the rules and usually through boredom or laziness.
If you want people to use the report feature; might I suggest the xda app is updated to include a report button.
Thank you for your time.

Who said XDA was not for noobs? XDA is a sharing information comunity for everybody and to prove it there is a guide just for Noobs.
XDA official Noob guide ->http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1699450
The line I've see written by many mods is:
It's xda-developers.com not xda-noobs
And if that's guide is worth it's salt then it will strongly discourage threads like this one:
Information that already exists
Question in wrong thread
Lack of searching, reading and understanding, just more bloat for people to sift through to find the juicy cream.
Anyway this has been thoroughly off-topic we should probably let this thread die now.

Not to mention what I said wasn't rude or disruptive. You on the other lack the maturity to act like an adult and have a grown up response. I need a gf is the best you could come up with? Keep trying little man

[BOUNTY/PLEDGE] Fix For GNex Graphical KitKat Issues

I'd like to start a Bounty/Pledge. I hope this is the best place to post this since it is development related. I'd like to attract the best minds in fixing this issue. As you probably know, the GNex is plagued with graphical issues making KitKat not work very good to say the least. Most things work but random reboots and blacked out screens apps like Google Now make it very difficult to ignore. Google's low system requirement (512mbps ram) for KitKat means our phone should be able to handle this update...technically
I pledge to donate $20 for a fix and hope others follow suit. I will track the pledges and will set up the PayPal link on the OP if/when we have a person or team that fixes this issue. I've participated on other similar threads with good success rate in the past and think we have enough users to do again.
If 50 people pledge $20 , we'll have $1000 to donate to the dev(s).
Pledge what you want, no amount is to small.

If its unnecessary that's awesome, but whoever is responsible for the fix would certainly get a donation from me.
Ive briefly searched for info on who is working on this and haven't found a thread. Is there a place to go for progress updates?
I'm sure the KK threads would give it away, but I don't want to miss anything. I love 4.4 on toro, even with the current issues.
