Buddies now.

Is it possible for one of the talented Rom devs to coorporate the old buddies now into touchwiz 4.0. the old one was an scrollable widget and the new is just a linked picture. Below is a picture of how the old buddies now looked. Much better with status up date. It had the works.
I can PM a picture of the old one if needed because I am a newbie and not allowed to post pictures yet.

There is a thread about this in general with an apk attached. I have not tested it myself, but it's there if you want to try it.

Thanks but I have tried that already. When you Install, it doesn't change. Thats why I am requesting this in the Development section. The old buddies now was much better.

You don't make requests in the development section. This is a section for stuff that has been developed not requests. Just letting u know.

Yes I hope on of the Devs find a way to add the old buddies now to touchwiz 4.0.

So glad to see a post in development that doesn't have 300 flamerz in it, hope this means xda is getting a little bit better

I initially was going to post this in the Q&A section but opted not to for I didn't want to catch flack.This actually is about my questions and answers I got to them.I want to salute STeROL and John Corleone.they both helped me with my issues and guided me to learning something new instead of the normal read threads.threads are great but actual conversation while dealing with a learning issue goes a long way...we'll thank you for your help.

Don't know the other guy, personally, but JC is never anything but knowledgeable and seriously helpful.
Not surprised about Sterol though. This section of XDA has some of the best members I have found yet. No. Joke.

hey guys im new on the s3 i came from the g-note i was wondering if the s3 is able to oc-uv at this point....also i am a huge benchmark person what does the s3 score? i do know on my note oc'd i hit 7600 on antutu and 64 on quadrant if there is anyone here that may be able to point me to the thread or link how i can root my new phone that would be great!! i know or think i know its odin but not sure which version... also i used super user 3.07 on the note with cwm 5.8.8.4 i think.... are those two the same ones i use for this phone thx again for the help

Check out the stickies in the development forum for rooting/flashing etc.
For oc/UV check out the original dev forum.
As for benchmarks... Yeah.
The random number generator known as quadrant will spit out anything from 5,000's to 9,000's for me.
The random number generator known as antutu spits out anything from 4,000's to 8,000's.

Yeah, I'm new to these boards too. I've been looking around and it seems some of these developers require a reach-a-round in order to post in their thread based on responses I've seen by them. Great start from a noob poster, I know.

Same question over and over and over is really redundant and 99% of the time nobody uses the search function. I don't blame them

Yeah around are nice ...But never required. I have to say that I have not seen that in the threads I have frequented...although I have started clear of the "original development" threads. The"unoriginal" devs seem pretty friendly and are quick to answer questions in a respectful manner.

I would understand that, but isn't this almost like an athlete or movie star and a fan asking for autographs? I mean, its your rom YOU decided to make public and of course there is going be stupid posters around, but if it was me, I'd just be happy someone was downloading my sh!t.

[Q] Advanced developer section

I see a new section for advance developers and have a terrible urge to ask simple questions in that section. How can I effectively resist the urge to upset developers and moderators alike?

I can't see it from my XDA app. Maybe I could from a PC, but I use my laptop less & less the more I find out what this phone is capable of doing.

The N7100 doesn't have LTE hardware in it. The T889 T-Mobile variant clearly does. You cannot add capabilities to a device that it doesn't have the hardware for.

Was more of an annoyed post not physically why.

The US models are not the N7100. I quite clearly said the N7100.

I'd like to take this opportunity to remind members that XDA is a place for sharing, learning and last, but not least helping people develop, theme and improve their devices, not for silly little arguments in public forums - we're part of the same team, remember that.
In regards to people trying to help enforce the rules of xda, as much as we appreciate this, it's better if you let us deal with it, and help us by reporting any posts which violate the rules.
Some of the language in these posts have no place in XDA, what you might not find offensive, some people do. So lets do our best to not include any profane or foul language, thank you.
Anymore problems, use the right channels (the report feature).

Don't see why you didn't just close this thread. Your caring and relaxed attitude seems out of sync with other mods who feel that XDA is not for noobs, and especially not for noobs to bloat with their garbage, posted without reading the rules and usually through boredom or laziness.
If you want people to use the report feature; might I suggest the xda app is updated to include a report button.

Who said XDA was not for noobs? XDA is a sharing information comunity for everybody and to prove it there is a guide just for Noobs.
