Don't know about that. You'd have to see what the model number the proxy sensor is, and then find out if any other devices use it.
As a side note: my friend had problems with proximity sensor. He removed the protective cover (screen protection) and the problem was gone.
Just in case..

Hi,
This is my first post here so I hope it's in the correct place.
I've got a Universal with a damaged screen (I trod on it ). Does any one know if it's possible to get a replacement (in the UK if possible)? If so, could you please tell me where from. Also, has anyone out there actually changed a screen on a Universal.? It looks a bit difficult to get the screen apart: I'm not sure where to start. Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Tony

Hi, I had the same problem a few weeks ago. I dropped my Qtek 9000 on the floor and the screen broke. I bought a new LCD screen on ebay and replaced the screen my self. It was not very difficult and you only have to unscrew a total of 8 screws to do the job. I used the service manual to get some guidance in how to remove the screen.
Try these guys
I've not used them but remembered seeing them being talked about elsewhere in the forum.

u might have knock lose the lcd screen inside. u might jus have to replace the lcd screen. u can find them cheap online. took me 20mins to change out mine.
I'd phone BT and ask for a replacement you are covered as long as you don't say what you did, especially if still within the 18 month contract or renewed, if a problem with the customer service reps then the C.E.O would be best bet as if push top they tend to deal with things.
Contact detail for CEO can be found on BT Anywhere Forum
If not under contract then there is a guide for replaceing screen in the sticky, i'd check the wires are not loose first.
Spose you already tried a hard-reset probably wont help but worth a try.
thanx
thanx you's 2 especially stylez for phoning bt just for me i'll try to phone thena a.s.a.p.
thanx again

Had the same problem recently. Probably the only solution is to replace the whole assembly (cant change the digitizer only) which cost me ~50usd from ebay. I have seen some ppl suggesting to "press" all 3 buttons at the same time for 5-10 seconds( this resets them ) tho didnt help my case.
Good luck :good:
didnt work for me

If you root warranty is VOID so if you are still covered by the warranty just return it to the shop.

Screen repair is a complicated thing on HTC ONE X... I had the same problem, but not with the blank screen, just with different kinds of screen.. So, my advise is, if your motherboard wasn't defective before the screen repair, there are possibilites to be a different screen.. look, there are three screen producers for HTC.. maybe you got the wrong one... try to buy a screen from another HTC ONE X.. it's difficult to find, but the best way to have a original and functional screen! Good luck man..

You need to verify the color of your flat.. but, there's an easy way to look for it, without need of disassembly.. I'll search for it..xda has a forum with the explanation..

if you are going to fix it yourself, or a repair shop? look at the lcd flex cable there is numbers on is. just look for the screen that matches with the old one. also, buy the lcd and digitizer as one assembly. good luck
Hey guys
I live in New Zealand and recently found a Note II N7105 off Trademe (NZ's equivalent to ebay) and received it earlier today only to find it doe s not power on or charge at all. the photos and description show that it was working before it was sent but it is essentially dead. now i know that i should do my research before posting this question and i have to no avail and have realised it is one of two problems:
1. either the phone is totally dead or,
2. it does not charge properly
there is no sign of life and i have tried multiple chargers in multiple power sockets and have left it to charge for a while and still nothing
if anyone can give me some help as to whether i should get a refund or whether its a cheap fix, please please please let me know ASAP as i have been REALLY excited for this phone and would like to solve the problem as soon as possible
thanks to anyone that can help, cheers

If ur phone does not start, nothing can be done. Also I guess it is essentially a hardware problem.
Anyways, (unless u have screwed up the phone by urself)why do u want to fix it urself? Just get the refund or replacement.
