not working..any other solution or manually any trick to root phone?

Try this or this.
If that doesn't work, flash ClockWorkMod recovery through the bootloader, then install a root.zip.

I can't seem to get it working at all all it does is set at the screen. Should I re-lock it and try again?

[Q] CWM install

Hi i have a question.
I would like install a ICS on my desire z, but how can i install a cwm without unlocking my device by htcdev.com?
best way to get s-off and root is the wiki guide:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/wik...sion#Rooting_the_Vision_.28G2.2FDZ.29_and_DHD
part of it is how to install cwm recovery
This is the best that I have seen. IF you follow the directions you will have this done without hassle. I am so much a noob and I was able to root and s-off my g2 in less than two hours. I did my wifes phone in about an hour.
Thanks i will try it.

CWM and Root or Root and CWM

Hi, i own a Xperia Play since 3 days.
Normaly it is no problem for me to root my older devices and put cwm on it.
But the Xperia Play makes me angry...
I managed without problems to unlock the bootloader.
Than i installed .42. There i could root the phone and put cwm on it but when i installed a custom rom, the device stuck on "sony ericsson" bootlogo, so i need to install stock .42 again. (i rooted with superoneclick and flashtool) CWM was installed by the cwm app and "cwm-install" from the forum.
No methode works for me to install a custom rom.
Now i installed .62 tft on the device because with .42 didnt worked for me.
But now i couldn't install root(superoneclick or flashtool doesn't work). So i couldn't install a cwm.
Could you help me ? I read a lot of threads, but couldn't find an answere.
I read something with kernel, but kernels are normaly installed by customrom itself or manualy after installing rom, i am right=!
I hope you could help me, because i want a fast device.
Best regards bikerboy-030

.62 firmware is unrootable by normal methods, therefore you have to use a pre-rooted rom/kernel to have root and CWM
thanks for the fast answer!!!
Thx a lot, now i know, that i do not need to test it with this rom any more
Does an pre rootet stock rom exist, that i can install with flashtool?
So that i can install cwm over the new app? That would be awesome

Try DooMKernel. Pre-rooted and comes with CWM.
BTW there is only pre-rooted kernel, not rom. My mistake

I am in the the situation but couldn't work out how to flash new kernel.

edit: finally figured out that I need to unlock bootloader first. strange that I didn't need to do that for my first root.

If you have a locked bootloader that will really not work.
Go ahead and try this installer and see if it would work CWM installer for locked bootloader
But there should be no problem on installing it since it is modded to work for locked bootloaders.

[Q] Can't install CM11 on Galaxy TabPro 10.1 (picassowifi)

I tried a few ways to install CM11 on Galaxy TabPro 10.1 (picassowifi) and it doesn't work.
I can't even install a custom recovery, either CMR or TWRP. I think my Samsung bootloader maybe locked. Yes, I have rooted it OK and Root Checker tells me its rooted and SuperSU has been update and works fine. Titanium Backup works fine also, so I know its rooted OK.
Still running stock rom 4.4.2. Trying with Odin to load Recovery image and also Flashyfy but neither can install CMR or TWRP on my device. They just leave the stock bootloader in place. So I am thinking maybe the bootloader is locked?
Any advice, and if you have managed to install CM11 on this device, is there a step-by-step guide with file links somewhere?
Thanks

Yes I got into download mode OK. Power and volume up etc. In fact, that was the way I rooted it originally. Download mode on tablet and Odin on PC

Did you followed the instructions below?
http://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Install_CM_for_picassowifi
If it not helped then I think you have a locked bootloader.

Yeah I tried those instructions, Heimdall Suite. That just gave an error and messed up stock recovery. It then just got stuck on Samsung screen possibly trying to get into recovery mode. . I used my trusted root method again (via download mode) and it re-routed and put back stock recovery. So that fixed that but still no Custom Recovery and no CM11
Is there any way to check if the bootloader is locked or not?
If the bootloader is locked, any ideas how to unlock on this tablet?
Thanks

Bootloader is not locked.
Try using flashify to install twrp if you are having problems with Odin/heimdall.

I tried Flashyfy. It goes through the process and says "imaged flashed" etc but then it just reboots the tablet back into stock recovery.

Yes its rooted. Flashify also confirms root.
Anyway, I got it sorted now. The problem was version 2.8 of TWRP did not work with this tablet and Flashify. It just booted back into stock recovery. But version 2.7 of TWRP worked fine and that's fine for me.
Thanks everyone
same problem here
Hi, I'm having the same problem with my rooted Tab Pro 10.1. Unfortunately, v2.7 with Flashify still results in booting to the same stock recovery. Did you follow any additional steps to get yours working? Any other suggestions? (I tried the other methods you tried also)

No, v2.7 worked for me but maybe it was nothing to do with that. I may have just got lucky.
Try Rashr (from Google Play). I had success on other devices with this just to get TWRP on

Using one of the root checker apps, it reported my device as having clockworkmod recovery even though it didn't boot into that. Must have only half worked or something, who knows. I just tried Rashr and that has just sucessfully installed TWRP so I think for here on I'm golden. Thanks so much for recommending me that!
