Do we have flash able rooted roms that can be flash with stock recovery ? Because lots people get stuck at boot loop or logo and they are away from pcs but they can get to stock recovery . So flash they rom then get mobile odin , get back up from cwm get original rom back without pc on the road .
You can't flash anything from stock recovery that hasn't been signed by samsung/sprint. But there are some unlock recoverys.

But most aokp roms because of bricking issues they have stock recovery so I though if devs can make some flash able rom with sign or some kind of alternative they would be a great. ( most case you don't need but when you get stuck and u don't have any computer access. )
You can flash if it is unlocked stock recovery.

Ok so my new S3 comes in today and I WILL have it rooted as soon as it is out of the box. My question is after checking out several root guides I see a pattern I'm curious about. I am coming from other rooted phones obviously and many of them required adb. basically it looks like i can just boot up odin and flash a a rooted rom and recovery essentially (assuming I don't care for stock rom/recovery and counter) is this about right? I ask because If i don't have to flash SU and a stock recovery then flash a rooted recovery or something like that than i'd rather not lol.
It looks like install samsung drivers, flash recovery, boot recovery, flash custom rom, profit! is this about right? (leaving out the wipes and stuff but that is obviously part of it)
I just odined stock Rom with root then flashed cwr and then flashed whatever I wanted

thats what i meant though it sounds like i can skip the stock rom with root...or am I wrong? Do I NEED to flash the stock rom with root or SU into the stock rom before flashing a custom rom or can i just go straight to a custom rom?
You should be able to just Odin a recovery and then boot right into recovery and flash
Here's link to Odin recovery

I have a telus phone. I just want stock unrooted without a custom recovery. I know how to flash the original stock rom but will the downloadable one on the samsung website also get rid of twrp?

Not sure what you mean by downloadable one on Sammy website but if you flash the stock image using ODIN you'll get stock everything.
There is the stock samsung recovery over in the dev section instead of flashing the whole rom again

I flashed back to stock non-rooted on my device through TWRP (cannot access download mode/odin). I now have stock recovery, 4.0.4, UVLH1, 3.0.8. My PC does not recognize USB or SIM so i'm sending back for warranty. Goes into stock recovery when trying to get into download mode. Can they be able to tell I was rooted?
Edit: Used this to get back to stock : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1858435

My PC wont recognize the device at all so I could not un-root through odin. I flashed UVLH1 radio, flashed stock odexed rom, then flashed stock recovery ALL in TWRP recovery. The only thing I cant figure out is how to reset the flash counter as I CANNOT access download mode, it either doesnt work or just sends me to stock recovery screen.

Try pluging in your phone on another computer after installing your phone drivers, I had that problem once and it solved it.
this is my first tablet and nexus device.. when i got my nexus 7 a few weeks ago.. i took the 4.3 update OTA... then rooted it unlocked it and flashed a custom rom.. i see that theres a new update small im guessing 4.3.1 what do i need to do to update my nexus to that?? can i just flash a 4.3.1 rom?? thanks also what do i do to update my nexus in the future when there bigger OTA'S i kno on my htc one i have to either unroot and go back to stock and take the ota or wait for a dev to make a firmware zip for rooted users to flash.. is it diff with tablets?
You could either flash a custom ROM through recovery on the phone or flash the stock images with fastboot on the computer.

If you use the flash-all tool (refer to: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2382051) both your ROM and recovery will be back to stock.
Hello everyone.. I decided to update officially yesterday and now I just want to get a custom recovery on here so I can flash a i9505 rom.. but when I tried to use odin like usual for recovery flash.. When I boot into recovery it's the stock Samsung one. Is Is the locked bootloader preventing us from simply flashing a recovery? Anybody found a way to get a custom recovery with the latest update? Any help would be great..
