Hey folks
Here's new thread where you share which apps are most important for you, without which you can't live. Perhaps it will help newbies
So, for me there are three apps:
*Tapatalk - for browsing forums
*Facebook - no need to say anything
*Gadu-Gadu - it's just communicator client for poles
Your turn
By far s2e, but i have no use for it anymore
Facebook and Hotmail
Facebook for chatting and browsing posts updates
Xda for browsing xda
Engadget for daily tech news
Sent from my BEAT2 using XDA
* Llama: for changing profiles depending on location / time of day
* Godville: a game which plays itself basicly
* gentle alarm: so I don't oversleep
* keepassdroid: all my passwords
* Mobile Vikings widget: to see how much money I have left on my pre-paid card
Thanks, but would be great if you also give us descriptions of these apps
Facebook and tweetcaster (twitter app) for social networking
xda premium for browsing xda
dolphin browser for browsing the internet
and last but not least, root apps: superuser, root explorer, lucky patcher, titanium backup, link2sd and more
Root explorer for browsing in root, a2sd for more space, sshd for great shell+file manager , xda premium for staying tuned, whatsapp, mercury MSN for communication with my friends. Those apps I can't live without!
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
A2SD, Facebook, Yahoo, XDA Forum App, Picasa Tool, Dropbox and i can't think of many others for the moment.
Oh forgot about Root Explorer, Navigon Select Europe and Titanium Backup.

RAM Manager Pro
definitelly best app for rooted phones (SGS especially). I use this app since GB and if any ROM developer or tweak developer says you will never face lags and redraws with his work he is probably wrong .... you need this app to get rid of lags and redraws ...
see my signature for playsotre link ... there is also a free version (but it does not have the advanced functions like more RAM profiles etc. ..)

Instead of using an app build.prop tweaks helps smooth out lags and more
thats why developers either just tweak there Modified Roms or use the build.props to save you using app (as they will use memory)
try the difference between build.prop and this app

Hello,
I'm new to Samsung in General and S-||| in particular, looking for best Twitter Application out there from heavy user experiance.. I used UberSocial version 2.2.2.0 it always crashes between one tweet the other.
I used Official Twitter App for Andriod, I didn't like it much.
I used Slices, too slow to refresh the timeline or to compose a tweet.
I used Twicca, it's not that much fancy, even picture or video doesn't open in the same client and slow to refresh the timeline.
I used TweetLine which is developed by one developer in here, and I cannot even reach to the login screen of the application.. I launch the App Authorization page, but after I put my credentials, it doesn't redirect to the app itself.
I used Seesmic, also slow and freezes my S3 phone..
Best I used is the older version of UberSocial, but since they launched their new version 2.2.2.0 its crab version and alwoas crashes.
Any suggestion?
Thanks,
The best for me are Tweetline, Tweetlanes and Firstly : Plume.
Plume is my daily client as the 2 others are still in bêta
I suggest you to follow these apps ^^

Okay so I have a $10 play credit what apps would you buy!
I already use:
ROM Toolbox Pro
StickMount
Sixaxis Controller
Nova Launcher Prime
HD Widgets
and both GTA games (I am more than willing to support developers porting old PC games to Mobile!!!)
I would personally buy asphalt 8
At 0.99 $ its a cracking game with graphics to boot

I would buy Faux123 Kernel App
Some best bang for your bucks :
- PowerAmp Player
HTML:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.maxmpz.audioplayer
( it takes full advantage of DSP Manager from Cyanogen Mod, and them equalizers give the best sound for your music )
- Swiftkey
HTML:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.touchtype.swiftkey
( you can wait to their sales, 50% off, they do that about 3 times a year on holidays, don't buy the Tablet version, the normal/phone version works just fine )
- TrickSter MOD Donate
HTML:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bigeyes0x0.trickstermod.premium
( I install them on all of my devices, a must if you're into custom kernels )
- Timely ( trust me this is one of the best app on Play, take a look at my topic http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2438519 )
Poweramp and DSP manager go well? Interesting...any settings you recommend?

In Poweramp Settings there's a section call Advanced tweak, Enable Music FX then you can tweak your sounds with DSP Manager. Since I mostly listen to Rock I set all of my songs to Rock.
My DSP Manager setting : Headset
- Dynamic Range Compression : Enable/Slight
- Bass Boost/Disabled (my headphones are good enough with bass, enable it if you need more bass )
- Equalizer Enable/Choose your genre of music
- Headset virtual room effect: disabled ( enable/Studio if you want more surround sound )
And the same settings to Speaker or Bluetooth
