WARNING! ZUNE ISSUE - Save your billing-mails

Hello.
I recognized a really bad bug concerning the zune marketplace:
Some weeks ago I bought some apps I uninstalled later on. Now I tried to install them again. So far, so good - should work - normally!
The marketplace tried to charge me FOR SOME OF THESE APPS again!
I called the hotline and they seemed to be pretty confused about that issue.
They tried to look back in my buying-history, but they could only reconstruct my history to the end of november. I bought my first apps one month earlier.
So Microsoft cannot see which apps I bought between the end of october till the end of november. I checked the history in zune on my notebook: I can only reconstruct my buyings from the end of december till now!
Microsoft told me to store all of my billing-emails to prove that I once bought my apps - in case I encounter this problem again in the future. I don´t wanna pay twice...
My english isn´t that good, I´m sorry ;-)

that's pretty bad, though on my account, i can see my xbox gold subscription renewal and i did that way back (like first half of 2010).

Back when i had my iphone, they would give out paid apps for free like once a day. Is there anything similar to that for windows phone 7. i could use some nice apps

They offer "Deal of the Week" apps but it's deff not free.

When the marketplace grows larger...

almost every app has a free trial, many offer full function and just post an ad banner

ok , i can deal with ads no problem . Which apps have ads for the full version?

I have an LG Quantum Optimus from Bell Canada. There's an LG APP store Category that shows up in the marketplace with apps for us to download an install that are LG developed or are paid apps being offered to LG users as a free download. Their way of saying thanks to their customers. About half are swapped out with new ones once a month or something.

I would love this.. I am unable to buy apps for my phone because my region is unsupported. I'm an avid apps buyer (I've probably bought more than 100 euro in apps on my iPhone) and the app buyer in me is suffering.

wow, just wow. no wonder all the apps are going ad supported. I'd much rather pay 5 bucks for an app then be hammered with ads....

I thought there was a way for you to get around that by using a proxy server on your home computer for zune?

Phones4u selling HTC titan

Hi guys just wanted to share my experience with HTC titan. I went into the phones4u store in Basingstoke today and caught a glimpse of a demo unit being shown to a customer. When I asked to look at it I was sat down and asked plenty of questions about my contract. When being asked my name in a store I get a little uneasy... When asked for my phone number when I just want go have a look at a phone I fond it a little annoying. I did say to the girl I just wanted to look at it. She brought her manager over and he indicated the reason they ask the questions is incase i run off with the phone! Lol. I said i should not need to give my number just to look at the device and told him not to bother. I might have been the lucky new owner of a titan! Not today though!
I would plead with anyone in the UK not to bother with phones4u if you can help it. I felt very unwelcome and wish i had never gone in. I would also ask that

Continued: if anyone from HTC reads this please don't give phones4u exclusives if they treat their customers in this manner. After all in not going to buy a phone if i can't have a look at it!!

I've totally agree with you. I have only been into a phone4u shop once and I don't think I ever will again. I found them quite rude and unprofessional. My first impression of the staff was chavs! They looked and dressed like the kids you see hanging around the spar shop at night.
I wouldn't trust them personally. Instead I've been using my local o2 shop for many years, mainly because its always a good experience!

Funny you mention it. I called a local store sometime this afternoon about it. They confirmed its availability, but were quick to ask my name. It was a rather strange feeling. Of course, I didn't. Apparently, they only have it on contract ATM and wanted an unlocked version anyways, so I could escape without them asking for my mother's maiden name.

The people who greeted me were VERY nice, the first phones they showed me, without me asking questions were the RADAR and TITAN.
I sat down and was told I would pay £33 a month for the TITAN and £9.99 for insurance.
I was fine with that, then 20mins later, they offered me the same deal for £31 p/m and £7.99 for insurance and a free accessory pack
I had a successful day

Awesome. Why don't you put up a (mini, video)review. I really want to know what that screen is like, constrast ratio and viewing angles most importantly. The only thing keeping me from getting it right now.

I got mine yesterday and cant bloody use it with my live account.
Is it says i reached the max of 5 devices and can only remove a phone on the 7th.
Have you noticed it has internet sharing in the settings

Call Microsoft. They can remove it sooner for you.

Unusual for them to be selling locked phones, usually they are sim free they just bundle the contract with the handset

They are unlocked from phones4u. I'm debating buying on eBay from ecell they are only£415 that and a giftgaff sim works out the same as 24 month contract. I just want to hold one and see if its too big. Anyway.. Post was phones4u related and i certainly won't be going back.

If you have ever held a HD7 then the titan would feel very similiar. I went to Phones4U yesterday and requested to see the Titan.. He sat me down and went to pick it up. Fresh out of the box, never turned on. I held it in my hand whilst Brian told me about HTC and his contracts and selling me stuff.
Excellent phone, much better than the HD7. Brighter, and much better build quality. I want one now!
He also took my name and phone number down, and asked me things like with who I am now and stuff..
I might pick one up. But not sure if I should go with phones4u.
So all in all I don't think they are very bad at phones4u. I went to the leading newest store in manchester and Brian was quite frendly.
If they will start phoning me now than I will tell them where to stick it!
One issue though is that they still try to sell me their androids phones. WTF?? I went in there for the titan. And yet he tried to shove me a sensation down my throat. Discusting!

The titan screen is almost half an inch bigger than the HD7. Similar is subjective. It's a bigger phone. If I want something that big, I'll wait and see if the Galaxy Note comes here, otherwise I'll see what comes to T-Mobile though I may be moving for work so a carrier change may be in order.
I can't do CDMA, though. No Simultaneous V&D rules Verizon and Sprint out for me.

I've been watching ecells listing too. 4 sold, 19 more available. The only reason I haven't bought this yet, Samsung and Nokia. If there weren't any rumors about an Omnia S and Nokia announced their line-up already! I hadn't heard about giffgaff but now! Unlimited internet for £10? Checking it out now!

That photo is very very nice. Thanks for posting. I was thinking about the Samsung and Nokia options too. Thing is I guess much like the first gen phones the specs of all the devices is going to be very similar. I have a couple preferences like large battery and super amoled plus but really I think the titan will stack up well against anything due for release in the next few months..
For those with the titan can you let me know if the speaker matches the omnia7's? Historically HTC speakers are very tinny. The hd7's was very very quiet too.

OK, I take it back. Went to the store today and the folk were REALLY nice. Had a tour with the device. The screen is awesome sharp, no pixelation obvious. The black levels aren't as great as amoled screens, but not so bad really. Ordered one already!

Well, it is not free UNTIL 26.9.13, it is free without restriction, only that extra 10GB you can claim until 26.9.13. Also "recently" is very inaccurate, Google bought it more than 1 year ago.

It is OK :good: . What I am wondering is if I will get more space if I will login in Nexus and iPhone. Probably not. But hopefully I will get free space under Google Apps (I only use it for email under my domain).

Good job :good: . I have COPY app too, but I like idrivesync more from alternative cloud storages, because it looks and works better (iPhone experience only) and also big plus is PIN LOCK.
Alternative i say only because I use DropBox, I love it.
BTW, on Copy I have only 22 gigs. You have that free space only from referrals?

Have never ever been a Crapple user. Hate hate hate IT!!! So wouldn't know anything about it.
Actually take that back tried a ipone for about 3 days, cuz I broke my other phone. Damn I was going too go crazy with that Damn one button crap! And everything about it:thumbdown:. Not for ME in anyway share or form!!
Now look at em (ios7), looking more like android IMHO..
