Probably the most novel way to post a issue, and I think i know what you're getting at!
unleash the meme's...

What's the issue here?
I rarely receive calls or call people, so i don't really get it..

The gnex is my first androidphone who use the proximity sensor realy good! Never have this no wakup problème

I hate it when it does that. Then you like pick up the phone and you're like "no, no, my hand isn't what you think it is silly!" But it insists on turning your screen on and off repeatedly.
More like scumbag Android

Is the proximity sensor sensitivity controlled by the kernel?
I can almost svear that before a flashed Frankos it worked just fine and did not turn the screen of when you for example have to use the dialpad for different services.
Anyone else?

The proximity sensor is at the top of the device by the camera, so I'm not really sure what he's trying to get at here. I've never had an issue returning to the home screen from a call. If the screen turns off just hit the power button.

Its because its opposite from most phones. Switch hands and issues goes away

I also never had any problem with the proximity sensor on the Galaxy Nexus. It does very occasionally not turn off properly when near my face but never had an issue where the screen would turn off when it's not next to my face (unless I intentionally put my finger on the sensor). If the screen is turning off randomly then your phone must have some kind of problem.

I literally laughed out loud reading that. Hilarious. Only because I know what that's like!

Can you attach the image? Does it look too yellow on the phone's screen or on a computer screen, or both?
mmm i see let chek
Looks normal to me on a calibrated monitor. Whites are white in the second image; in the first image, the White Balance just might be off a little. And it's out of focus.
to yellow the pics or not ?
i think my camera it's bad
anyone please
Youre not alone. I have the same yellowish tint on mine. Happens in low light/ indoors only

i am thinking to return it i buy from handtek alls nexus have the problems or not ?
This probably is a software issue. Hope it gets fix in future updates

i am thinking that two it take the photo to fast and they do this
Yeah the zero shutter lag is pretty useless as it misses focus most of the time.

Sure its not the flash causing it? Most of my pictures look fine and I have beige carpet.

does the GN have white balance categories like cm7?
like auto, incandescent, daylight etc?
I agree with the person who posted earlier - is does seem to be something that only affects it indoors. It does come with different "scenes," but I haven't experimented with that yet.

lmao. dude. there seems to be a bit of yellow in your house. it called ambient light or reflections. everything seems to be normal. should definitely check the pictures on a better screen and not on the nexus to verify. people with blue ceilings, wal: and carpets can get a bluish effect or whatever is your situation.
Yeah, it's just an incorrect Auto White Balance. Just change the White Balance in settings. There's nothing faulty here.
User error.
Discuss.
I don't think its user error. My sgs2 doesnt have this yellow effect when set on auto.

Question about notification light area

The google play store sent me another galaxy nexus. I have seen the phone in person at two verizon stores and i have seen the original nexus the google play store sent me. With this new one i have you can see where the notification light bulb is, the circle and bulb while it's turned off and not in use. All the other ones i have seen it is invisible and you can't see it at all. has anyone else seen a phone like this?
this is what the new one looks like

Ditto on my Sprint Galaxy Nexus. I can't even see it looking for it.
I have to look really close with a flashlight to see mine. But it's very hard to see even with the flashlight.
another defect i suppose
I can see it on my Galaxy nexus but is slightly bur I can't capture with my 4S camera it looks like yours could be defected or something. Does it work tho? I and if does does it bother you?

I guess what is odd that its different in the first place, if you have a 100 of something and there all the same and that 101 is off it sorta makes you think why?
My first device has banding issues that aren't great at all, but i'm keeping it. I have seen worse in other threads. I have sent pics of all the problems i have had to google, this way maybe they can check out whats going on with qc over at sammy. I think the problem may be these devices are made in china and the international devices i think are made in Korea. but then again alot of people are having problems no matter which they have!
One thing i will say is googles cs has been great they are very nice and seem willing to help! i don't blame google i blame sammy! sigh but life goes on, there bigger things in life its just a cellphone!!
BTW, thanks everybody for the replies!!

[Q] LED's!

I know I'm not the only one, we had android devices previous to this.. we had Charging LED's and when Charged.
I've noticed the nexus does not do this.. is there a way to do this? Its one feature I really do miss from my Incredible
Light flow did not work so if that's my only option then I'm screwed I guess?
Also sometimes it seems the notification system is a bit screwy, this has been on various ROMs. Is this just a nexus quirk?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
I'm also wondering why it doesn't have led lights to show when charging . How are we gonna know its chargin !
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
The sprint aokp unofficial night lies has charging led and notification led options you way want to talk to the dev on how to incorperate into other ROMs
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Xparent ICS Tapatalk 2
Hmm interesting.. thanks! I also loved the charging led. It at least makes me less worried that my phone is still working lol.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
Light Flow does charging/charged indicators.
I figured the USB cable plugged into your phone would give you a good indication of it charging though .

Unless it was updated? When I used it, it didn't show the LEDs but when I tested it, it did work.
Anyway.. I know being plugged in seems like notification enough but its a small peeve of mine and Assures me lol that it is doing its job. I'm tough on cords and usually from being constantly bended it loses connection.. then it doesn't charge and then turns into this huge hassle. If I had a charging led and charged led I would worry a lot less.

S pen acting weird

My devil of a son threw my new phone on the floor and cracked the screen pretty bad requiring me to change it. Left a big hole in my wallet too. After changing the screen, I found that my s pen is acting a bit weird. In air view mode, the dot is off by around 2 mm.
I also noticed that the pen sensitivity has also reduced.
Is there any fix for this problem?
I have tried using reset s pen app from the market, but it doesn't seem to help either.
Sent from my GT-N7100 using Tapatalk 2
First; turn on auto rotate if it's already on turn it off and on. Then go to display setting and recalibrate horizontal and gyro, finally go to your home screen and scribble the spen around the screen with it held at all angles and draw into the corners. If this doesn't fix it then maybe it's a hardware issue.
If the sensitivity is not right there are two options I know of; open open up the cover/button and adjust the dial underneath, or do as I did and slam the spen quite firmly onto a hard flat surface. (I actually layered mine between two coasters to protect the funny shaped end and hit the side with it at about a third the strength I imagine youd need to break it - it worked wonders for mine. )

Thanks for all your suggestions. I Did what you suggested. Claibrating the gyroscope dis nothing much. Slammed the spen but doesn't help.
Opened the spen and tried adjusting the screws inside... Didn't see much difference.
Guess that leaves me with the only option of heading to the service center and talk to those experts out there.

I dont want to create one more thread, so i will write about my problems here. I have similar problem as OP has.
My wacom sensor behaves strangely in the corners and the edge of the screen.
Here is a picture that demonstrates the problem clearly. All the lines should be straight, but they are not.

I bought it off ebay, but it has screen burn. It was advertised as excellent condition, until I saw burn. Got it for 180 and around over 6 bucks for shipping. Seller was OK if I returned. Wondering if it'll get worse.

BTW a screen shot does not show screen burn you have to take a picture from another device. To show the Super AMOLED screen

I have a keyboard screen burn on mine it hasn't gotten worse but on a white screen you can see a whole keyboard.
use a screen burn remover app. They actually work but it takes more for amoled displays i noticed. I remember having one that would flash the whole screen r,b,g,w and you were told to set the screen to max brightness just so it warms up a bit.
