Alright so I've been looking all day and no luck. I've used prop modder, and several other methods to try and lift the throttling on my sprint gnex. Can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks!

Are you looking for the Verizon PRL that Sprint folks are flashing in order to up there 3G speeds and get better signal in more areas?
If so the thread is here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1660740
....if this is not what you are looking for, I apologize.
On some aokp spin offs, such as black ice, there's an option that edits the build.prop to supposedly increase 3G speed.

Pretty sure that is for GSM. And Sprint data 3G probably wouldn't get much faster.

Well I've seen it in rooms for the sprint nexus. Such as black ice.

What speeds are you getting on your 4G LTE Galaxy Nexus? I've seen some pretty amazing speeds posted from other users and I'm feeling a little shafted with the speeds I've been getting.
Is there a speed range Verizon has been advertising for 4G?

Funny I ran across your post. I had very limited experience with a Verizon GN at at their store and the speeds were very similar to what you show. I am on Miami and was hoping this was because of network congestion or something.. Compared to the amazing results everyone else's posts around the country.

You're lucky. I called Verizon regarding this and they said that they don't guarantee any speeds. They did put in a ticket with the network team who got back to me tonight and said that I'm too far away from the tower and I need to wait for them to expand their network.
Here's my results from various locations around the SF Bay Area.

Not LTE but I'm getting some great HSPA speeds up in Canada haha.. I just wanted to be included.

Since switching from tmobile I notice that the sprint network is noticeably slower with 3g and 4g speeds. Will any ROM or any setting help Boost speeds and or connectivity?
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda premium
There is a network fix zip somewhere around here. I know its included in StrongSteves Rom but honestly Sprint is just slow and there really isn't anything imitation can do that is going to dramatically increase your speeds. Welcome to Sprint. Lol

Has anyone been noticing any strange network types on your toro+ I usually get EVDO REV A:8 but lately it has been jumping between EVDO REV A:6, EVDO REV 0:5, and 1xRTT:7 never seen all these different types before I just noticed it when I started using Jelly Bean. Speeds are slower also unless I'm by the Sprint store then I would see like 2mb/s but anywhere else more like .5

To tell you the truth.
I don't ever pay attention on my toroplus. Lol
I have rev a6

Absolutely

I think its just sprint messing around with their antennas.
If you don't think so maybe nandroid backup and wipe and reflash jelly bean see if it persists.
Or try a different kernel?

Since I see that you are seeing the same things I think it might be because its an LTE phone because my Photon doesn't display those networks I see I have data upgrades, and voice upgrades planned and some they say have been completed maybe it could be Network Vision. Normally if I had no bars call would not go thru neither would text but now it seems they will with no bars. Speed is slower since I'm on the outskirts of where towers are but better connectivity I can't explain it

My experience with sprint is that they have really screwy connectivity. I love their phones.. except the 4s which I hated and was useless. And I love their 'unlimited' data. But right now their going through a tough time. And that's cause I've been paying for 4g for almost two years and I have not gotten a single drop of wimax when I had the epic and the epic touch. Nor a drop of lte now that I have a toroplus.

Yea I know what you mean I'm in the same boat I'm looking for a gsm phone right now to leave sprint I wanna stick it out but the promise of 4g after 2 years is a bit much to handle seeing how I never got it now I just wanna go prepaid

He bought an evo 3d... now its discontinued...
He's also been paying for phantom 4g.. he's pissed haha he's gonna see if he can "talk" with sprint to see if he can get a GS3...
I think that's pretty hilarious

So I'm switching over from the T-Mobile G2x and I'm getting the Galaxy Nexus from the play store next week, and I wanna know how good is T-Mobile on this phone like the signal strength? Which HSPA+ do we get 21 or 42? Just wanna make sure it works with T-Mobile.

Oh it works and its only 21 but not like bit matters no one comes close and signal strength is crap in my house it struggles to get one bar where the s2 got two or three. But service is good nonetheless

I had a g2x. The nexus gets better service than it did across the board, but my SGS4G got a little better data speeds (its also a 21hspa+ device) whereas the nexus does better on cell service.

Have the nexus for about a week already on T-Mobile. Been around Connecticut all weekend, steady 3-4 bars. Havent lost service yet. Just as good if not better than the amaze

H is "4g". It should show 3g until its actually actively transferring data then switch to H.

These were the other day. I'm in the southwest suburbs of Chicago, and its been polling up all over. The speeds vary in different locations, but I haven't seen anything really bad yet. And its not even "officially" on yet.

Honestly, my speeds with big red weren't really that far off. I've very seldom gotten over 30 down and 10 up w Verizon. They're about the same as far as the speeds I've seen. Its the coverage that's scketchy.

Carrier pigeon is faster than Sprint 3g, so it doesn't take much.
But yeah. Those are pretty good speeds. Glad to see Sprint picking up their game.

i'm trying to locate a good place to buy Sprint Nexus off-contract, mint-condition used or new to use on Sprint network without signing/extending contact. i currently have gt-i9250 on t-mobile, while my friend has htc evo on sprint, i wanna switch him over to nexus experience without singing another 2 year contract.
Anyone knows a good place in Boston/Mass/NH or online where i can buy SPH-L700?!
Thank you in advance
and sorry for not creating separate thread.
Not to be a downer, but when I got the TBolt (First Verizon 4G Lte phone) my speeds were constantly 35+ Mbps everywhere I went. Now that everyone and their mother has a 4G phone I am lucky to get about 10 - 15Mbps in most places. Saturation is a killer.
