Voicemail notification stuck - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S II SGH-T989

My VM notification in the top bar of the phone wont go away. I listened to all my messages yesterday after noon and the notification went away, then phone died later last night. Charged it until it would reboot and now voicemail in the top bar is back, no voicemails.
Already tried a battery pull....
how do I get it to go away again?. Do I have to wipe the phone? I hope not.
100% stock not rooted.
Thanks

From another phone. Leave a message listen to the whole thing wait till it tells you to push 7 to delete then delete it. Atleast that's what works for me.

Blocked calls still coming through

Hi everyone. I've got a bunch of numbers on my block list, but they're still coming through. Phone rings, and I have to manually reject it. When I look at the logs it even shows the blue block circle. Ideally I'd like them to automatically go to vm, but I don't know if that's possible. But, any idea why blocked calls are coming through?
I'm on Darkside 2.5.1.

Why don't you just use 'root call blocker' works flawlessly with a ton of options.

Friend not recieving msgs?!?!?!

Ive been textin with this friend and everytime i text her she doesnt get my msgs or she barely gets some from me.. ive texted other people as well and they all get them just her... so what could the problem be?? I tryed different msgn apps, different rom and both ics nd jb they all do the same... are the vpn settimgs wrong or messed up and need to be update or changed or what??? Please help!!!

She's lying lol
Sounds to me like the problem is on her end not yours.
If texting everyone else works fine except for texting to her.....

It's either a problem on her end or plain and simple she's lying. If you really want to get to the bottom of it, next time you're with her send her a text and look at her phone that's the best answer anyone can give you. If she really does not get the message the problem is on her end.

I've seen similar things happen, seemed to be a network problem, account problem or phone not checking in type of problem.
Has it continued since she got all the back texts all at once? Does she receive texts from other people or miss those too?
First try a simple reboot if you haven't already. Send her a text and if she doesn't get it have her toggle airplane mode on/off. Try with wifi calling on and off.
Back up contacts and messages and in Application Management clear cache and data on contacts, dialer storage, dialer, and messaging.
It'd be strange for the battery to cause that, but put the old one back in and test it out.
If her phone is rooted, make a nandroid. Try a different modem. Try clear dalvik, cache and if needed data/factory reset.
If all fails call tmobile and ask to reprovision the account.
Good luck!

Did you try adding just in delivery reports for sms and mms?
Also is this intra or inter carrier. That can cause a delay as well.

Sms disappearing

Randomly while sending texts or receiving them, my texts randomly disappear or auto hide when I open the app. Other times you can see the messages for a split second then they will disappear saying "your message inbox is empty".
There are also times when I will be in a conversation Window and after replying to a message the message content will disappear and when I back out there will be no messages there either.
Anyone know what the hell is going on? I've restored, deleted cache including dalvik and even installed a new rom twice. The only reason I rooted was to fix this issue.

I'm having the same thing happen to me and the only way to fix it is restart my phone
Sent from my SPH-L710 using xda premium
At least I known in not the only one now. This restarting my phone crap gets old fast. Plus restarting once doesn't always fix the issue.
I know others have had this problem. Please come forward!

This is a bump. There are many like it, but this one is mine.
Seriously, can't i get someone who knows these phones good to post on here? I am really getting tired of having to restart my phone whenever i send a text message...it's getting old FAST...

I am currently running Odexed blue by Team Vennum. I only flashed this rom and rooted because i lost all ability to copy/paste AND this started happening. I was "putting up with" not being able to copy/paste, but once this happened a few times on stock, it was the last straw.

Why can't I send/receive texts suddenly?

I was using my phone normally day after day like calls, texts, internet, etc until I reverted back to stock from a jellybean Rom, can't remember which though, and ever since I can't send our receive texts. It shows that the texts send successfully but the receiver never gets the text. Help?

You can't receive them either, right? What about phone calls? What kind of signal does your phone show? Haven you verified your IMEI number?

The one called messaging. If this does not work, power down the phone and remove the battery and sim card. Leave out for 5 or so minutes and reinstall. Power back up

Sometimes my phone has gotten wonky on time usually as a result of battery swaps. happened even prior to my rooting.
All i needed to do was toggle off/on the Auto time set feature and it resets as it should.
All most over slept one morning because I for got to check the time after a battery swap prior to going to bed. Phone is my main alarm clock.
Just go to settings then under system go to date and time and then set the time yourself.

Samsung has introduced a qualcomm time service that might be responsible for weird time behavior. I know on my phone it can be off by up to two minutes, so what I did was disable this from running. If you're rooted, you can either disable it in titanium/application settings/adb OR just remove the application from /system/app/TimeService.apk
