Anyone?

But a nandroid backup would contain personal (and sensible) information... that's not good to share...

U must flash either of CM7 kernel or Doomlord kernel to do that, for more details, looking up at Android Dev Section.

DXKK4 Stock ROM
I have a Nandroid backup of DXKK4 Stock ROM (Asia) , Don't worry you will not encounter SD Card issues with this one . This one acts just like DXKL2 but this is a earlier firmware. Want my DXKK4 Nandroid backup ? just PM me if you want so i can provide it to you . Plus this Stock ROM supports firmware upgrading , Since i used this for upgrading to DXLA1 Stock ROM but since DXLA1 Stock ROM surprised me with SD Card issues after 2-3 days so last April i finally gave up this ROM because of SD Card issues and downgraded to DKKK4 Factory firmware of my phone when bought.

[Q] SGH T999V Back to Stock so i can get OTA from Samsung

So I'm Custom Firmware FrostyJB and want to go back to stock as this has a few bugs. and i want to recieve OTA from Samsung.
I made a nandroid but my phone does not seem to register it.
any idea what i should do?
You have to restore a nandroid backup with the same recovery you made it with.
Otherwise download the stock fw and flash with odin. Flash the VLALH2 and youll have the up to date fw already. No need to wait for ota to dl and install.

Why not flash an ics Rom instead of jb leaks if they're not working for you

Restoring the stock firmware.

Ok, this might be a dumb one, but not necessarily.
So I've unlocked my BL, and being the stupid twat I am did NOT backup the drm keys. Flashed custom kernel and Cyanogenmod 11.
Now, I'll probably give the phone to my mom and buy me a new one. And she needs it stable. So what are the steps to safely restore the original 4.1.2 firmware?
Just flash the 4.1.2 ftf through flashtool
Yes flash ftf file

Yes.
You may even take a backup in CWM before flashing CM 11 and then restore it so no need to flash through flash tool
Does the backup store in the SD card?

Half yes. Half no.
If you take cwm backup then you can simply restore it back to get your settings and apps back. Then if you want stock kernel flash kernel only through flash tool. So you have a stock ROM along with your saved settings.
When you want complete stock same as when You first started it then you need to Flash full stock ROM, wipe data and cache and relock bootloader.
