The problem you are going to face is the exact reason why I developed the "Battery Mod Tool" for users to make their own battery mods. As soon as CM9 is released nightly, your flashable zip will not work. 75% of CM9 users are flash addicts and will want to update to latest CM9 straight away.
I know this because I started out with 30+ different zip's for each of the different batteries then as soon as a new CM9 was released, I had to update all 30+ zip files. I ended up writing a script to do this for me but it became a headache to upload and provides "valid" links etc. Back then, CM9 was not released nightly like it is now.
Now, the reason it won't work for every update is because I have the resources.arsc file in my zip file (as I see you also have now) One would assume, you do not need to have this .arsc file however, on many occasions, I have challenged other users to remove it and see what happens when you flash the battery without it. The problem is, this file contains "resource" information about the additional 170+ images I have added that Android wouldn't know about in the Stock SystemUI.apk so in other words, you have to replace it so Android knows the extra resources are there. The XML's point Android to the resources. If a ROM already has 1% increments, then you don't need this resources.arsc file and you just need to replace the PNG's. CM9's default battery still doesn't show 1% increments so until that is changed, you can never create a "Universal" flashable ZIP for all versions of CM9.
If you don't recompile this reources.arsc file with the latest version out then not only will it most likely crash SystemUI, you might actually be overwriting new code that has merged into the latest nightly.
I would suggest just adding your images to my thread and let the users make their own flashable zips whenever they feel like it. You'll keep your sanity this way. This is by far the most effcient method for EVERYONE as with the collapse of free hosting sites, it makes it difficult to maintain 30+ batteries with the limited bandwidth available to free accounts. Users download the images once and create the Battery Mod themselves.

I have many mods which I have completed or are currently working on, so I have turned this thread into a compilation of all of those. Once I post a mod, I encourage all users to request it for any/all roms they wish to use it on. Just attach the appropriate file (will specify for mod) and the name of the rom and I will do the rest. All mods are flashable zips through recovery, please make a backup and wipe dalvik before hand.
*I take NO credit for app attached to the end of this post. It was not developed by me, I am merely posting it here for the convenience of the users of these mods. Credit for the MIUI battery bar goes to pvyParts.*
Normal disclaimer about how flashing a mod can be potentially dangerous for your phone and such. Please ALWAYS perform a backup before flashing any of my work (or anything at all for that matter). If you somehow manage to mess up your phone it is your fault, not mine. You are not allowed to sue me, all you'd get would be student loans anyways.

Here is a quick mod which I put together that allows you to turn the screen on using the volume-rocker, as well as the power-button. Currently I only have one made up for AOKP Milestone 1 (CDMA) because that is the rom I am using, but I will gladly do any others upon request. It is a pretty easy mod and only takes me a minute or two so don't be shy. Just upload the "android.policy.jar" file (found in system>framework) and let me know which rom it is from and I will do the rest. Hope some people enjoy this, I know it is one of my favorite features to have.
Flash via recovery, wipe dalvik cache beforehand.

Is there any way you could do next track/previous track for the volume rocker like what's found on CM7?
hi thanks for the mod.
i was wondering if you wouldnt mind making it easier for us that build from src and share that little piece of coding so that we can build with vol rocker unlock included.
/me sent this from a i9250 using Tapatalk
Would like this for Android Revolution HD using 4.0.2 kernel
Could you do this for gummy nexus? Thanks

sent you the file, thanks
Here is one for a stock rooted 4.0.2 Galaxy Nexus.
Thanks
Is it possible to make one for the AOKP toro build 15?
I updated the OP with all the current ones I have and included the MIUI battery bar mod also. Please do not PM my files, just post in here and make sure to let me know what rom they are from. Enjoy!
Are you going to be able to do my rocker thing? Attached in previous post.
Thanks
Would this work with AOKP build 15 and the Black Exodus theme?

Um not sure, depends on if Roman changed anything in the SystemUI from 15 to Milestone 2 (which I'm pretty sure he did). But I can guarantee it will work on M2

Can you let me know what rom this is from so I can label it when I post it?
Can you do a battery mod for bigxie's rom please.
I can't get this(battery bar) to work on AOKP M2. I tried in vain and cleared cache and dalvik, re-flashed the ROM and then this mod and no go. This file also kills the network icon from showing when its on HSPA+ even though I've confirmed "4g" is working.
I am also running a 4 way lockscreen & modded stock launcher but neither contain a update to systemUI.apk.
Any pointers?

Hey guys,
just thought i'd drop in and post some lockrings for everyone. I was originally creating them for myself, but now i've found that i enjoy making stuff for other people! they are ALL zipthemer zips so please download the app and then open the zip and apply with metamorph! and no i will not convert it nto a flashable zip... you can do that if you want but i've already made them metas/zipthemer friendly.
they are for AOSP ROM's only, so no Sense roms, no Xperia roms, only things like gummy, AOKP, CM, etcetc.
I will update this forum periodically as i am mainly a Galaxy Nexus user, but don't worry, the lockrings are both hdpi and xhdpi.
** IGNORE IT IF IT SAYS IT IS CHANGING THE LOCKSCREEN WEATHER IN METAMORPH, THAT IS A TYPO** it only changes the lockring ic_lockscreen_handle_normal and ic_lockscreen_handle_pressed
**DOES NOT WORK WITH TABLET MODE**
please nandroid if you don't know 100% what you're doing or how to recover otherwise.
the other option is to pull your framework-res.apk in /system/framework/ to your computer and then if you get a bootloop you can always adb push it back.
Please don't steal my work, if you want to share it in another forum, ask me or just send them to this thread. please and thanks!
Special thanks to @Stericson for his tutorials and teaching me how to do metamorph, @morfic for his awesome kernel, @rascarlo for his awesome rom and @SamsungClay for being such an inspiration to me.
EVERYTHING IN MY FOLDER IS XHDPI AND HDPI COMPATIBLE.

Commonly asked Questions or reoccuring comments
- USE THE SEARCH FUNCTION.
- ALWAYS MAKE A NANDROID or have one on hand to fall back. I cannot stress this enough, especially if you are a newb and this is your first time flashing a theme / using metamorph
- alternatively, if you know what you're doing, just pull the framework-res.apk from /system/framework/ BEFORE you apply the theme and if you get a bootloop just push it back from recovery.
now.
OMG THESE ARE AWESOME WHAT ROMS DOES IT WORK ON?
anything AOSP based, that being cm9, aokp, rascream, etcetc.
it will NOT work with the sony roms, or sense roms, or touchwiz roms so dont blame me if you try doing it with those roms.
i'm on paranoid and thats based of CM9 so it'll work right?!
no, it wont, because paranoid grabs its drawables or scales them in ways i dont understand, but if you figure it out, let me know.
i totally borked my phone and its in a bootloop QQ what do i do?
if you're running the proper rom and you followed all the instructions properly then pull the battery and reboot. it is normal for a random reboot to happen when you first apply it. metamorph talks all about it in its warning to you.
I did what you said but it still bootlooping... the world is over.
either nandroid or restore your framework from recovery. and then try redownloading the zip and reapplying. sometimes people get bad downloads... so dont fret.
i have followed all the previous steps and my lockring isn't applying... YOUR LOCKRINGS ARE BROKEN!
probably not, as 99% of them have been tried and tested. make sure you don't have a theme applied, if you do, use zipthemer to apply the lockring isntead.
ZOMG i've tried everything you said and it still wont work...my life is over
stop lying. all the rings work provided you've followed the instructions. otherwise send me your framework-res.apk and i'll look at it.
can i have this lockring design?
well first you need to provide a picture, and then even then its stillup to me whether or not i'm going to make it.
can i haz a weed one?
simple answer, no. I don't endorse drugs that are illegal in my country (Canada). But if you want a benadryl one, then sure.
thats all for now, but this post will be updated when popular questions arise.

They should be fine.
Always Nandroid backup first when changing any framework, just in case.
When you apply the theme in Metamorph, just be patient and wait for a reboot prompt. Sometimes it looks as if the process has crashed or hanged.
Cheers.

As The Name Suggest This To0l Will Create An OTA Update Package For You,
It Doesn't Work Like The Actually OTA Packages Due To The Nature Of Custom ROM And Their Customization Ability,
Making patching near to impossible, however this will scan to folder and compare them,
picking the differences, creating a new OTA Folder, which you just zip and broadcast.
The Advantage Of Using This Tool Are SimpleSmaller Update Packages,
Faster Upload From The Dev,
Faster Download For the User,
It's Also Allows user to update without having to reflash stock kernel, as the modules (if they're the same) wouldn't be included,
It's Also Allow You To See The Actual Difference between each updates
Updates:Initial Release V1.0: Simple OTA Maker
Update V1.2:
Bug Fix
Update V1.1:
Logger Will Show An Error Should One Occurs
Exceptions (These Will Not Be Compared But Will Be Copied)
Upcoming Updates:
SuggestionsAll Suggestion are welcome
Notice:
1) For Aroma Users I highly Recommend that after using the tool to copy and paste that folder yourself,
usually Aroma options don't change and thus ignored by this app
2) The Same Apply To the update binary
3) If You Use This App, Please Credit, There is no need to tell me but i'd like to know
4) Some ROM format the /system partition before installing the ROM, if so make sure to comment out that line
5) I'd Highly Recommend You test the OTA package before publishing it
DOWNLOAD HERE
Look @ The 2nd Post For A Quick How To.
How To Use1) Extract The Old ROM (v1) Into A Folder And Place The Folder Into The "ROM" Folder
2) Extract The Updated ROM (v2) Into A Folder And Place The Folder Into The "ROM" Folder
3) Run The Tool & Click Refresh
4) Choose The Old ROM 1st & Then The 2nd ROM
5) Select A Name For Your OTA Folder
6) Click Process & Wait For The Magic To Happen
7) Now A Folder Will Be Created With The Name You Specified & Placed In The OTA Folder
8) Now You "Probably" Need To Edit The Binary Script To Make Sure It Works Correctly,
^^ You Won't/Shouldn't Remove/Edit Symlink/Chmod Or Extract Unless They Specify A Specific File

thats a different story,
though i'm not yet 100% yet sure if odex apk/jar are interchangable, but let say they are,
this would work the same way,
and i doubt a dev would release 2 roms an odex and deodexed, but thats a the cooks problem not mine

yeah great app.
but how does it compare?? on filesize, date or how?
I just tried to compare rom 1.0 with rom 1.1 and it gave me update on almost all system apks but they are the same date and size??
As every device also the One needs this BIOS Bootanimation.
And here it is!
Credit for the idea goes to the guy who did it first.
This version is completely remade for for the FullHD Screen of the One! Every single frame was done from scratch!

I know, everyone's a critic, especially someone like me who can't do what any of you all do - I just you your stuff, then complain.
But seriously, I love this boot - I had something like this on my 8525, then my Fuze!

I would like to know if this would work with stock rom also, more specifically the T-mo US stock rom, I know that the 1% battery mod works with the stock tmo us rom, but not sure whats needed for the boot anim to work, esp since we have no busybox for the tmo us HTC One
Thx for this awesome boot animation.

Thank you for pointing it out. Feedback is important in getting better at what you do, so it's appreciated
I may upload a fix later today or tomorrow.
About Stock ROM, I haven't tested this yet, but I think there is a write protection on /system which would make it useless as it would get deleted on next boot. But I wonder how 1% mod works then. Maybe someone with more insight on this can help here.

Fixed version is in the first post. Just redownload from the links provided there and reflash.
Fixed the "Tocuh" typo, changed to correct Android version and also made it a bit slower. It's retro, huh?
Works great on Revolution

As every device also the One needs this BIOS Bootanimation.
And here it is!
Credit for the idea goes to the guy who did it first.
This version is completely remade for for the FullHD Screen of the One! Every single frame was done from scratch!
===Preview===
(Note that the ASCII Android will loop until boot finishes.) (And no, the typos you see here are fixed, I am just to lazy to remake the .gif )
===========
===Downloads===
The bootanimation.zip file standalone. Put this whereever your bootanimations go on your ROM. I just know for ARHD it is: /system/customize/resource/. Set permissions to 644.
https://www.dropbox.com/s/fy8jd54ud5da30t/bootanimation.zip
A CWM flashable zip which installs the animation to /system/customize/resource/. This is confirmed working on ARHD. I don't know about other ROMs

There is definitely some kind of write protection, which rewrites the file when you reboot. Im still digging trying to find a way around this for my rooted but stock HTC One with custom recovery.
I really love this boot animation. Had something very similar on my Galaxy Nexus before the One.

Dose it overwrite it even when you install it in recovery? Other than that, there is a kernel module which disables the protection, but I don't know how to use it on stock.

Flashing it via recovery did not work. It either got overwritten again, or the zip was flashed to a different directory. The flash seems to be working for those running custom roms though..
This is awesome! Makes me want to overclock the same way haha

You can disable the write protection, but its not as easy as flashing something. Have not done it myself, but I saw the thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2230341

Those of you who have flashed one of the roms based on the official KitKat base (4.19.401.x) will have noticed HTC's tasteful new white/grey battery icon.
Unfortunately, they still haven't seen the benefits of a battery with 1% increments, so I decided to make one for our Renovate rom. Thought I might as well post them here, in case anyone else wanted them as well. I made a set without % overlaid and, a new set with % numbers.
Since I have been reminded recently that theme stuff isn't worth getting worked up over, please feel free to use these images in whatever mod/rom you want, no need to ask permission.
There are 4 mods in total:
htc_white_batt_%.zip - white battery with black % text
htc_white_batt_no_%.zip - white battery with no % text
These contain just the images and the battery xmls, so you will need to flash these on a rom that has already implemented the 1% battery increment mod. If it doesn't, you will get SystemUI force close if you flash these. However, these should work with any of the KitKat bases that have been released (from 4.06.x onwards)
If your rom doesn't have the 1% mod, you can flash one of these:
htc_white_batt_%_with_1%_mod.zip
htc_white_batt_no_%_with_1%_mod.zip
These also contain the files needed to add the 1% increment mod, but if your rom dev has added any other mods to SysUI, you will lose those by flashing this! Also, these versions can only be used with roms based on 4.19.401.x

Please let me know if there are any issues, will try to address them. As I mentioned, I made these for our rom, so won't be making any variations etc. If anyone else wants to use the images as a base for their own mods, please feel free to post them here.
If you're not sure which version you should use, again please feel free to post here and ask, I will try and help.
Hi fisha ?
First I try separate zip then I lost my battery completely ?. Then mod pack and that do the work ? I'm on ARHD . Than you for your work.

Sorry for the delay replying. I see from the InsertCoin thread that baadnewz has included the battery in the rom, and I think I saw you posting there that it's working fine now?

I had a look at the Maximus thread but it wasn't clear if he is using a 1% increment battery mod. Easiest way to tell is to plug your charger in. If the battery animation goes smoothly from 0-100, you just need zip 1 or 2, depending on whether you want the battery to have % numbers on it or not. If the charging animation jumps from 0-10, then 10-20 etc in 10 steps, then you'll need zips 3 or 4

These zips won't work on any 4.3 rom, since SystemUI is in a different folder on 4.4. However, @ViNOK16Bit has already made some Tweaks compatible apks, you can find them at the end of the ViperOne theme thread
