T-Mobile G2 - Wanna have Chinese Language support

Hi Guys,
have a question here... i had a T-Mobile G2 on my hand, from a friend... below is the info of the phone...
Android Version : 2.3.4
HBOOT : 0.82.0008
Microchip : 0425
Radio : 26.13.04.19_M
eMMC: boot
Apr 13 2011, 14:51:54
he wanna have Chinese on the phone, but unfortunately he does not able to find any Chinese Language under the settings...
What is the way for him to get Chinese Language on the phone...
I know i can S-Off and Root it... but how to change the H-Boot to DZ type... please advice...
Sorry for the trouble as i'm also a noob, my DZ has been root by other ppl... so i duno much to do the H-Boot changing...

Judging from the HBOOT version, I guess the phone is unrooted,
You need to downgrade it first

then root it

To have Chinese language in your phone, you can flash a Chinese ROM. I am not aware of any around here, but an excellent one you can try is

Just run an RUU and it will be good as new
I would advise the latest european RUU

I'm using '4EXT Recovery Touch' and other ROM's are working well but not this one.

The rom you posted is for the Desire, not the Desire S which I think you have applied it on.
You need to find a Desire S rom and flash to that

I'm new in android world but thanks to guides on this forum I was able to do root etc on my unbranded desire s.
Atm I'm trying find out which rom will be good for me. Cyanogenmod 7.2 nightly is working nice but I want to try ICS.

There are plenty of threads telling how to do these..... but I really dont know which one should I follow.

IN THIS VERSION MOBILE FINALLY I MANAGED TO INSTALL MODDED RECOVERY AND THE RECOVERY IS VISIBLE NOW v5.0.2.8
