I think it's already implemented in ICS if I'm not to naive when I tell you that, cuz I know that it's a pointer-setup for mouse for example in the configuations/options and I think that it do will support most things with the USB-OTG already in the ICS

Thx I will install an ics Rom and try it again. Can you tell me wich the best and fastest Rom with the less bugs is?

I don't know, only tried ICS++ in waiting for KA14, but ICS++ was buggy for me with the SMS-app since it was really slow, even at 1,4-1,5Ghz OC and typing SMSes is my thing, and it really ate my battery and I had to load it pretty fast thanks to the slow SMS-app.
And I did wipe everything and such for 3 times, so in case you find any other SMS-app, then I can at least sort of semi-recommend the ICS++, or wait till there is more Android 4.0.4-versions of ICS since 4.0.4 had improved much so it feels faster as I have understood it

lol too bad u r confused with too many roms... i suggest u can use barebones or cm7 its nice ... cm7 nightly has some few quite well build nightlies..... can check out in development section for a thread called best nightlies.... choose according to them.. personally i am using barebones one enjoy
check the last page of the cm7 thread in defy development section, rc1.5 is out!
sent from my cm7 defy...
I've been using Galnet MIUI and i'm very satisfied . I tottally recommend it. It's stable.
I'm also using the V6 supercharger script.
Since i bought my Defy i have tried several ROMs. CM7, MS2Ginger, MotoGinger, Leaked stock 2.3.4...
But still looking for one without bugs... MS2Ginger was ok, but couldn't create social account in the moto blur. Now i am with the stock 2.3.4 that i imagine that motoblur should work, but can even login or create de Blur account. Maybe the problem is me, not the ROM. I think i gonna try MIUI once...
There is a good topic in the development section about chosing de best (right for you) ROM, take a look...
Until now my favorite ROM is MotoGinger !
A majority will agree its CyanogenMod , no matter what rom they're on.

what's this v6 supercharger script ? and wht does it do actually ?
used the leaked defy+ 2.3.4-134 ginger on defy for about 2 month, fast and stable.
before flashing you have to look which camera-module/lense (red/green) is build within your defy
CM7.....forever
i think it wouldn't be easy to answer the original poster's question without knowing what he expects from a good rom (why does 2.2 suck for him?)
I personally use the WajkIUI. I like it because it has the pleasant underpinnings of MIUI and it incorporates a lot of things that improve the stability and functionality (e.g. CM7's camera)
I don't particularly think that it's the perfect rom though. Then again, nothing is.
I get FCs on some apps and there is a possibility that CM7 could be faster. However, i have the impression that CM7 consumes life a little bit more quickly.
will cm7 Overclock or Underclock my defy ?

You can still use CM7 as it is a stable rom and keep it at 800 MHz by going to CWM and changing the default back to 800 MHz

Almost all the custom Roms I know are OC'd to 1ghz or more, if you insist on an untouched basic interface then perhaps a stock 2.2 rom is your only option. But as stated above custom Rom's can also be Underclocked to 800 MHz much to your preference.

[Q] WIfe friendly rom, Kernal etc...

Hi my wifes Arc S is starting to annoy her its starting to get laggy
and she has dropouts when using GPS.
She is currently on GB Rom
I am an experience android user and do understand that the best way is to
try each ROM yourself. But because it us her phone I just don't want to spend
time messing around on it and just give her something that works.
Looking for most stable ICS/GB whether it be offical stock or custom rom
no interested in overclocking
excellent battery life
excellent data/wifi/gps
doesn't have to be superfast - stability is more important
So i am looking for ROM (ICS/GB/Custom), Kernel & Baseband
most stable cum battery friendly cum good performance is Arconium series..Arconium ICS is really good..if u want to try GB then try Arconium 8 GB edition..they all are modified stock ROMs..use stock kernel for best battery life if you dont undervolt or overclock..
The all stock ICS is really good. Install it with pc companion if avalible. Boot once. Then do a backup and a repair flash to get it smooth with pc companion
As said the arconium is very good, so is the KA20 ics rom too.
Typed down from the sky with sexy LT15i
My GF has the 4.0.4 ICS Stock on her ARC S. she loves it... wont let me touch it...
ICS seams to have come in leaps and bounds as far as speed / ram management goes. (long term laggyness)

Most STABLE ICS rom?

Hello guys i have been trying a few ICS roms now but i still wondering how i can get the most stable ics experience.
The best ive got now is like 2 phone crashes a day. I am useing the Krabappel rom (KA)
Id like to have ics for the touchpad functinality in fpse.
Oh another question, is it possible to get the xperia play gamepad working with onlive on ice cream sandwich? It worked perfect on gingerbread.
Thanks for your time.
May I ask why you want ICS? Gingerbread is perfect, why upgrade to a buggy beta? Compatibility sucks on ICS.
If you care about your games, the best thing to do is stay on gb. The only stable ics roms are cm9 based with no touchpads working. Some games actually detect that you have an xperia play and show you the control schemes but the touchpads won't work.

He didn't ask about the compatibility, he asked for the most stable ics rom.
Besides, fpse will only work with ICS beta released by sony. Only ics beta has different touchpads implementation. But the beta is very slow, laggy and pissing off.

NXT v1.2 with DooMkernel. I honestly can't speak highly enough of it. If you choose it I suggest you flash the accompanying add-ons as well. Contains some kind of new Timescape layout that looks brilliant

FXP125 works much better than AokPlay for me
Aokplay is amazing, especially now with the touchpad fix. However some games don't work at all.
Try Darkforest ICS. I tried almost all of the ROMs in the past few days, and that worked the most smoothly. Anyway Gingerbread still works better, so now I'm on Gin2ICS 1.7.7. Sadly the touchpads doesn't work properly in Order and Chaos with any of the ICS ROMs.

best ICS rom to date?

Hey all!
Just curious, what are the current best ICS roms? Im currently on stock GINGERBREAD and ready to take the jump to ICS. I always thought CM9 was the best, but I've heard its still a little unstable and slow/laggy. What are my other options??
Thank you~

arc s laggy compare to galaxy i9000

hello :cyclops:
i have the arc s lt18i.
in the beginning i flash the official sony ics release and i compare it to the samsung galaxy s1 - i9000 with custom rom (run ics).
the result is that the galaxy s1 much faster and smoother then the arc s. all the menus are much faster and the youtube app much much smoother. - the arc s is laggy and dont smooth in youtube app when i move from comments section to "other videos" section, when i scrolling in the "comment" section or "other videios" section.
i think thatthe official rom is the problem so i flashed ics jj hybrid rom.
now the phone is fast but not like the samsung galaxy s1 :crying:
the ypuyube app is very lag when i play a clip and navigate in the "comments" section, which in galaxy s1 is smooth!
as much as i know the arc s have a 1.4ghz and better specs
so what is the problem? is the samsung galaxy s1 is really better then the arc s?
thanks! :good:

p.s can ypu give me a good kernel that support jj hybrid rom?
thanks man

hmm.. so the galaxy s1 with the 1ghz is better then the arc s with 1.4ghz?
because i did not overclocked both of them and the galaxy s1 is much faster.
do you guys have the same lags in the youtube with the scrolling? (while the video playing)
thank you guys for your comment!
Dont Forget
Dont forget that your galaxy S is using a custom rom. Considering if it were on a stock ROM performance would be better on the arc S considering that it is on 4.0.4

what is the matter?
ok but i dont see differences at all in the arc s or the galaxy s1.. i mean the ics look and everything is exactly like the arc s jj hybrid ics.
everything is the same!!! like they both based on ics!!!
but the old galaxy s1 wins for sure

Same problem with my Xperia Arc (ICS) ..
I think Sony mess up with ICS firmware. The phone was great and game friendly with GB, with official ICS it's laggy and don't play many games. I'm with a locked bl based on the 431 firmware. I've tried some roms and finally stick with pureness 10 V6 supercharged. Games won't play, but the phone is more reponsive, with less launcher restart. But overall the phone is slower than my old Desire with CM7

Unlock your bootloader , flash a custom kernel , flash a custom ROM ... Then you will see how fast it can perform...
BTW the galaxy s is probably on a custom kernel which is overclocked , running a custom supercharged ROM...

I don't want to unlocked bootloader and lost warranty and drm right And i don't think that putting a custom kernel made such a difference. But why Sony can't simply release a good rom is beyond my understanding. Why with GB i have no problem to play Angry birds and Asphalt 6 and when i upgrade to ICS, i must sometime reboot to play Angry bird because of touchscreen problem and can't play Asphalt 6 because of lack of usable memory. Maybe it's Google fault too, with ICS to big for 2011 smartphone, or bad Sony rom, but the result is here, unhappy customer, who are think twice before buying a sony phone in the future

Yep ! Back to the future is probably the best solution, maybe i'm asking too much to Sony to hope a ICS as good as a GB They now concentrate on lauching too many new phones
