Just released and downloading now
Yes, I've picked this up too. Upgrade went smoothly, now waiting to see what gets better and what breaks...
Nice to hear that - my operator sucks ... vodafone is this time so damn slow ....
Maps live wallpaper still crashes...
Quite impressed with Orange - they're consistently only a week or so behind the unbranded release.
Downloading it now.....

1.29.061.11So what's new Pussycats?
Anyone got a link to the changelog??
There is NEVER a changelog for OTA updates, at least not from HTC - when will people remember this!!
The ONLY one I've ever seen was for the unbranded 1.29.401.7 OTA - you can read it here:
http://www.htc.com/uk/help/htc-one-x/#download
Orange do seem better these days with updates maybe its just because this phone is more upgradeable than my old desire.
Just downloading my update as I type.
Nice surprise to start the weekend o/
Installed smoothly.
My phone had ruu 1.29.061.11 however I bricked my phone and I need to find this RUU so I can save it. But I cannot find the full RUU anywhere
I have a copy of a non upgrading orange uk ruu. 1.26.061.2.
PM me and I'll upload it somewhere for a day or so.

Thanks but I have tried this RUU and it failed. I have been told this because it wont allow you to install an older RUU then you already have. I really need the 1.29.061.11 or newer RUU because this is what my phone had before I messed it up.
(This is where I read this)
' Note that the RUUs will all function on any of the phones, but the CID locking prevents you from 'debranding' your phone by installing a generic [[#RUU]]. Additionally, the CID-related software also prevents you from installing an older RUU than what you are currently running.'-The android dictionary
hmmmm. Well I started with 1.26.061.5 and was able to install .2

hmm maybe its only the '1.26' or the '1.29' that need to go up. Also would you know if It makes a difference if the bootloader is locked or unlocked when installing a ruu?
I imagine you're supposed to reflash the generic recovery and relock but I'd have to go have a read.
I've been holding off rooting myself in the hope of discovering s-off.
I will just have to wait for the latest orange ruu to be uploaded

Hi I have a Branded Desire from T-Mobile and I need some help. I have been reading the forums but I am still confused.
I want to get the update Froyo onto my phone.
What do I need to do? Do I need to root it? Or flash it? Or just unlock it?
Thank you for your help

Debrand it to a stock ROM and do OTA updates. Use the goldcard when doing updates though just to be safe (made during debrand process)

Guys, i'm not an Android newbie but never flashed ROM's etc - could I have a bit of help pls?
I've got a Vodafone ROM, going to debrand my Desire, using a Goldcard and then install the generic 2.1 sense ROM and then request OTA update. Got that whole process figured out etc
What I want to do is backup everything first. I'm not rooted and i'm going to use the 30 day trial of mybackup to backup data. I want to backup my apps too if possible - am i right in thinking Astro have a program to go this?
Will it all be fine to do backups to my SD first, create a goldcard on another SD, flash the other sense ROM, then update to froyo and then finally take out the goldcard, put the other SD back in and restore everything?
Any help would be appreciated pls!
After debranding you can sign in to the android market and download the apps again from the downloads option.

When you say debrand ... what is that? Rooting? or Unlocking? Sorry for the noobness!
Is there a reliable guide to debrand my Desire. Mine is also Vodafone locked:
HBOOT-0.80.0000
I don't know how to find my rom version. I really would like froyo soon, thanks!
Hi mine is branded to 02 only with the splash screen and unlocked, I found a Stock rom called
RUU_Bravo_HTC_Europe_1.15.405.3_Radio_32.30.00.28U_4.05.00.11_release_121865
If i put this on and then checked for updates would this allow me to update to Froyo 2.2????

Debranding is flashing the phone to a stock ROM which doesn't have any network branding. It doesn't unlock the phone to use on other networks. If your phone is locked to a network you could always buy a code from eBay to unlock it.

After you debrand, do you get any updates from your carrier that could mess it up, or do you just get them from HTC directly?

You need a gold card for a non-3 UK RUU - sounds ike you have an SLCD screen and flashed an AMOLED RUU, hence the black screen
Out of interest, if you run available 3uk ruu and check for updates, won't it update it for you? Mine was 3uk before root and custom ROM, so might need this info at some point. Thanks

So whats the proceedure from say, Leedroid 4?
Nandroid backup current
Extract boot.img from original rom
Full wipe and nandroid back to stock voda rom
Fastboot flash boot.img
Flash original recovery (where is this?)
Relock bootloader using htc token
boot into stock voda rom, download and apply OTA
unlock bootloader
flash cwm
nandroid restore leedroid 4
sound about right?

All looks good, though I don't know why you'd bother It's been stated many times that 1.28 base roms are NOT reliant on the new hboot. Can flash straight over the top of the previous version.
It also has some risk if you're looking at S-OFF. Obviously focus at the moment is on hboot in 1.26, if you update now you may not be able to S-OFF right away (if/when it happens).

Any idea how to then save this OTA when it gets pushed? not just a nandroid backup

Apparently the new hboot fixes fastboot and stops all the problems associated with low battery level and not being able to boot to rom/recovery.

Did you don't keep a back up of stock just in case? That's what I'm doing,
flash stock boot.IMG, flashing stock recovery, then fastboot up cwm restoring stock then upgrading.
Then right back into cwm to back it up.

I am enjoying my new One X, but I have some minor issues with it. The phone I got is a prize from HTC after I won a competition they conducted. I picked up my phone myself from their office and found out that the phone I got is a demo phone, the one that comes in red bubble wrap. When I checked the software number on my phone, it showed a version number of 1.15.401.1 while the latest here in the Philippines is 1.29. Anyway, the thing is, I can't update the phone. Whenever I try to update it, it says that there are no available updates for my phone. I've already tried calling HTC and contacting their email support but I am not getting any straight answers, all they're saying is to regularly check for updates. Is there any other way to update it? Like, is there a "1.29 firmware version file" here in xda that I can download and install? Any reply regarding my issue would be of great help! Thank you!

Similar sort of thing, I have a Telecom NZ One X and it's on 1.26. Telecom NZ are taking far too long to update.
Can I flash a stock unbranded ROM and have it update as per that ROM?
I don't want to have to reflash for each update, I want it to update OTA when new updates for that ROM are released.
Possible? I really hope so, 1.26 is so crap on battery that I can't use it as much as my Desire :crying:
I'd say you need to find an Endeavour RUU, Ask Mike1986, I think I saw somewhere that he has one.
Try unlocking the Boot Loader and then flashing the latest 2.05.401.2 ARHD Rom onto the phone, then it's rooted and it's basically all stock.
