I was wondering if the Android Revolution HD 4.0.1 for the Galaxy Nexus work on the SGH-T989. Would it work or not work? Please let me know. I've attached a link to the rom.

What is TDJ's? I don't know how to port, so I wouldn't be able to do it. :-(

since each rom is built for the specific phone, no you can't run that without porting it.
TDJ is thederekjay. he is a dev and his roms are beast.

I ran into this problem last week with my Sensation, I'm using CM7 on my phone and I wanted to hook it up to my TV. I found out that gingerbread did not support MHL to HDMI. What I want to know is will I be able to plug my (future) Galaxy Nexus up to my TV?

Yes you can use it on the Nexus on ICS.
Should work fine on Gingerbread too though.

It only works with TouchWiz and Sense, but not for pure Android.
And thank you for that link.

It's not possible. I thought the reason people on XDA bought the Nexus was for AOSP.

Nm, u? Me and swamp are working on it, but no build has booted yet. The epic is much harder to port to. I may be able to help you guys on sense though since I know pretty much what swamp does
Would love to see Sense ported - the more options the better imo!

agree!bought nexus for the absence of proprietary-eat-ram-UI.hate all the stuff involved on the classic ui out there, likes touchwiz, sense, motoblur etc etc.
i don't know why lost hours and hours of development to try to port a thing(proprietary UI)that is the major reason why many users choose to buy a ggogle experience phone.i don't want to be rude, tastes are tastes, but i personally dislike all the uis out there.
anyway,if you desire that,i'm glad to will see that someone will have it workin!

Have to agree with you !
I used HTC phones for over 2 years (before GNEX), and i can say im sick of sense/touchwiz and rest manufacturer ui..
I bought this phone so i can make my own ui.
But if OP likes sense, its his taste/needs.. Good luck in finding sense on gnex mate

I have a Sensation running Sense 3.6/ICS and it's no where NEAR as fast as the Nexus on stock ICS
I have been browsing around for a ported keyboard from the S III for my SP GNEX and have not had any luck. Has anyone else seen one or can this be ported over? I love the style and all the options it has on the S III. Thanks for the help!!
BUMP for visability... Hoping someone with knowledge will see this. There is some interest as this has been viewed many times.
bump just because i love trying new things and having options

It may not be possible but I cannot question that. Anyway like said above, I'm in for trying new things too.
Bump means or basically is letting people get aware of this topic by bumping it to the front/top. Its fine to do once every couple hours or so many over day by one person. Although if others help bump it makes it equally easier.

I will love to try Samsung keyboard if possible

Threads are displayed in the forum by most recent. So whenever someone replies the thread goes back to the top of the thread list. So a "bump" back to the top.
I love keyboards and thus I support this. Samsung really integrates their stuff together like Sense... so I don't think its as easy as ripping the apk. Typically with past HTC IME keyboards had to be flashed through recovery to include all the proper files and placement.

I don't know much about these stuff, but can't somebody with galaxy s3 can just take out the apk of the keyboard?

Why Samsung keyboard ? Samsung English keyboard is really ****ty which could not do simple typo correction. The best was consistently lousy from galaxy s2 to galaxy s3 ...
Try typing this sentence with Samsung keyboard
" Samsung keyboard always stupid ! " , compare this to android stock keyboard.

I've been looking everywhere for an S3 keyboard port. Was hoping it was in the S3 Touchwiz addon pack, but see barely any mention of it.
I love the "handwrite" feature built in .. whether I'd use it or not
Madphone, the maker of the S3 addon port would probably be the best candidate to ask about this-- if he reads this or if anyone wants to hit him up.
There was actually a huge improvement from the SII & SIII keyboards.
I am an avid swype user but Samsung has integrated a swype like function into the keyboard. Also the handwrite feature is something I'd like to have.
Thanks for the input everyone. Hopefully we can keep this near the top and get this going!

Hey guys I'm a Nexus retread. Just wondering what the VZ JB 4.2 rom is. Thanks!

At least from XDA? mROM 3.2 if you want the closest stock ROM without any mods. (Which I'm personally running)
MMUzzy's Jelly Bean is my next choice, stock feel with some extra additions thrown into the mix.

This is answered the same every time it's asked. Try several and see what works best for YOU. Everyone doesn't want the same features in a ROM. Some want stock and others want customization. Read the forums look at the screen shots and flash whatever peaks your interest. If you don't like it flash something else. Just be sure you make a backup just in case something wonky happens.
As for a suggestion, I am currently on Xylon V11+Zen kernel V12.

we have it on the galaxymod rom. it pretty cool. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2089801
Theres a verizon port in the dev section (link posted before my post) that has this feature. Having FC after install but was still able to play with the multi window. It seems nice to have but I dont know if I will take advantage of it much.
