I am using MOODED 80.6 ICS Custom ROM with ArcKnight RC2 kernel (Baseband 70) in LT15i.
When i tried to flash the CM9 kernel (provided in the zip file) through fastboot.. it says its flashed .. but when i reboot, it shows blank screen.
So reverted back to MOODED ICS.

You have to use the FX CM9 rom with the fxp cm9 kernel.. according to what you posted you didnt install the rom..
the fxp kernel works only with fxp and fxp based roms..

Hello, I did quite a few searches on google and i never found anything similiar to my issue i am having. As the guide says on cm7.. i flashed SEMC 4.0.2.A.0.42 rom with flashtool, no errors or anything. However when i flash CM7.2.0 - FXP105 Kernel the one included in the zip with fastboot... It boots up and i spam the volume button and it brings up the kernel menu, however this is when issues occures for me. It freezes maybe after 20 seconds - 120 seconds, so i am not able to even flash the actual cm7 rom because of the kernel instantly freezing, and sometimes the menu cm7 kernel shows up glitchy just with a few texts. Then i tried to connect my charger to the phone, and now the kernel is glitch free everything works perfect, but as soon as i disconnect the charger the issues comes back
Kernel with update-cm-7.1.0.1 works perfectly but new ones does not? I tried the doomkernel aswell for cm7, and still same issue.
This is how i did it
1. Flashed SEMC 4.0.2.A.0.42 rom with flashtool
2. Flashed CM7 Kernel (the one included in the cm7 zip - fastboot flash boot boot.img)
And i can't go any further than this because the kernel glitches out.
I had a similar problem, try flashing .42 then boot, log in to your Google account and wifi etc., then flash cm7 kernel & rom.

Use DooMKernel.
You can't change voltage with stock kernel.
but you must have connected to power source every entering to recovery mode.
Enjoy CM7/CM9 based ROM
Hi everyone!
I tried to install racing bean 3.0 and, after the kernel screen, it appears the "X" logo. It get stuck on this screen with the "X"!
How can i solve this problem? I don't want to lose my arc s again...:crying:
Thanks for the help :fingers-crossed:
Contact dev. Of ROM
Sent from my mighty Xperia Arc S
flash the v2.2
then flash v3.0 without a wipe then will start our phone
even me got the same issue and i cant find v2,0
but i found v3.0.1 and may give it a try and see what happens
Flashed stock kernel
Now i have flashed the ICS stock kernel and i am unable to get my phone to CWM recovery. After the sony logo appears, there's a black screen.
My PC find the phone, but it's in MTP mode, therefore i can't flash anything except the kernel (.ftf).
Do i have to change the internal memory?

You won't be able to until you flash a kernel with CWM or use X-Parts. Click the first link in my sig and read it from start to finish, when you have a better understanding of what you're doing then try and flash something.

You shouldn't flash an ICS kernel, but a jb kernel

I solved this problem time ago. When i posted this thread i was a beginner with roms and stuff, but now i've learned alot and i'm creating my own rom right now
Thanks anyway for the answers
as i am having a laggy rom and random reboots therefore i searched a bit and many says it's a kernel problem therefore i wanted to change my kernel . I'm running lupus v12 720p jernel and i want to change to super fusion but the problem is i earlier when installing rom flashed super fusion first but i couldn't go into recovery mode therefore i had to flash lupus kernel in order to install rom but i want to use super fusion :crying:
Sent from my Xperia Arc S using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Just flash the fusion kernel via fastboot, then install WiFi modules via Recovery and you're good. No need to reinstall the ROM.
but i can't boot into recovery with superfusion that's the problem
Just checked - Super Fusion kernel has WiFi modules built in. So just flash the kernel and start up the phone.
i flashed the kernel but i can't boot into recovery mode . i tried every button

And why do you need to go in there? You had flashed the ROM previously with the Lupus kernel. No need to reinstall the ROM or wipe anything.
thanks but it means that superfusion can't boot into recovery or my phone has some problem?
Probably the kernel, but you got the ROM installed already, but I still can't see, why would you need recovery in the first place.
I don't and thanks for help

I hope someone can help my with this problem...
I had LuPuS v12 GB Kernel
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1849536
with Aurora Play 2.0 CRom
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2124442
Working just fine, but i decided it was time to change to a ICS based rom... So, I flashed LuPuS v7 Stock ICS/GB kernel
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2167766
Using this fastboot guide
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2054512
which, btw, was the same I used to flash LuPuS v12 ....
But when I tried to boot in recovery mode (Volume down for CWR, Vol Up for TWRP), the screen just says TWRP for Lupus or CWR for lupus, without any kind of options... If I let the XPLAY boot normally, it just loops en the kernel screen....
I realized that I had to fastboot-erase user data and system... So I did it, and then flash the kernel again, with the same result. Nothing appears in the CWR or TWRP screen....
So I gave up LupusICS and Reflashed Lupusv12 for GB again, using the same method... but I got stuck with the same problem! the screen just loops in the LUPUS screen, and nothing appears in the recovery screen....
I even tried to use this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1493996
to see if I can get to recovery and use the restore option..... I get the FreeXperia Prpject screen, and then black.... NOTHING!
What did I get wrong? Is there a solution to this problem?
Please, help me....
Flash .79 or. 62 firmware with flashtool
Flash lupus kernel (ics or gb - your choise) ( but this time flash kernel with flashtool )
Erase system and data from fastboot
You should be able to boot to recovery.
I can't see what are you doing wrong, but steps above should fix any issues
Sent from my C6502 using xda app-developers app
Thank you

Thank you, I did the flashtool magic and it works like a charm... I used a "enhanced" firmware that comes with Auroraplay...
And I'm thinking, MAYBE this is why I got stuck.... MAYBE this firmware is not compatible with ICS Lupus...
Do you know where can I get a clean .79 or .62 firmware?
Edit: I got the clean firmware from here...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1589399
I'm sorry that I asked before looking myself...
The next question (and I've already looked), flashtools asks for a kernel.SIN file.... I've only seen kernel.IMG files
How do I flash the kernel with flashtools?
2nd Edit: NVM, I'm so stupid XD I got the answer to that, too....
BTW, excuse my broken English... this is not my native language....
And again, thank you for your help!
Hello, I smashed my razr @ work so I'm back on my xperia play as a backup for a bit. But I can't seem to boot into jb pa or cm9 from this cwm http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1493996. Am I just using an incompatible cwm recovery?

Is that just cwm recovery? Or is it a kernel with cwm recovery?
What was last kernel you flashed before you flashed that cwm recovery image?
If you have boot.img in zip file of your (jb pa or cm9) rom, extract it and flash in fastboot mode. It should have both kernel and recovery in it. I can't recall wich button is used to enter it, just try vol-,vol+, back or R button after powering phone on

just hold the search button while connecting to pc and you should be able to enter fastboot, if blue led is on you're good to go...then you flash whatever kernel you like with flashtool, and you're ready to flash your choosen rom according to its instruction..i' ve been for a couple of years on super jellybean 8, wich is good jb rom but lacks touchpads support; i'm currently on nexplay wich is an ics rom and it's perfect for me, full touchpad support and good gaming and overall performance..well at least for 2011 hardware...
