I have mobile oden and have used it to flash and reflash just about anything -but like stated eariler in the thread it wont flash the modum. You can flash a custom recovery.if the above process shows stock recovery After you flash the kernal of your choice. I am running FE22 W/ Blue Kubin stock kernal on 1.0.3.4 - have not updated iyet cause i'm waiting to see some of the new mods that are comming out for it!!! So far I found this to be one of the best if not THEEE best rom/kernal I have ran! on my sprint sg2e4gt

[ ROM ][ ODIN ] Leaked ICS IML74K FB21 4.0.3 Build for Epic 4G Touch

PLEASE UNDERSTAND, THIS IS NOT AN OFFICIAL BUILD FOR A REASON, THERE WILL BE BUGS, SO DON'T WHINE IF YOU FIND ONE, FIND A FIX INSTEAD
Here is the complete tar for the FB21 build, I replaced the Sbl with the EG31 one so reset jigs will still work afterwards
Side note - If you having issues with drivers, uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers worked for me
Extract tar first, then flash tar file through the PDA option in Odin
D710_CODE_SPH-D710.FB21_CL159837_REV02_user_w_Sbl_EG31.tar.zip
And for those that just want the modem, here it is
E4GT_Modem_FB21.zip \ E4GT_Modem_FB21.tar - Zip must be flashed through a CWM based recovery & Tar must be flashed through the PHONE option in Odin
FAQ
If your having issues with Odin recognizing the phone after flashing this, use these instructions
Go to device manager, right click on the unknown device, update driver, click browse, let me pick from a list, select all(wait till it loads), find Samsung Co and install one of the ones that have modem in the name
first gonna flash right now and will post results later tonight, thanks calkulin

no reason why it won't flash the rom though
Downloading this and flashing it. Going to try to use this as a daily driver until we have a more final version (tired of gingerbread, lol).
Edit: Just installed it and it's working great so far. Probably a dumb question, but this isn't rooted, correct?

I think you can just Nandroid back (I haven't had trouble doing that before) but it might cause some problems. If you want the safest route, Odin back.

Odin full restore back to stock, use sfhub's auto root, then add recovery, reboot to recovery, nandroid back to your GB ROM. Also you don't have the annoying yellow triangle.

Mobile Odin works. I just flashed a GB recovery/kernel combo and wiped from there. The bricks are coming from the use of using CWM bundled with an ICS kernel. If you do any flashing with a GB kernel/recovery, you'll be good to go.
Note: You wont be able to boot on ICS with a GB kernel, so just boot into recovery if you choose that route.

Only bricks I've seen are from using Rom Manager and the temp CWM Touch. Kernel Repacks are fine for going back and forth between GB and ICS.

HOW are we taking risks? It's been clearly stated in several threads that the problem lies with RomManager and temp recoveries.. not with repacks.

And download odin from http://www.mediafire.com/?u868rqz4qn0ta34
Then follows these steps:
1) Power off your phone
2) Plug the USB cable into your computer, without plugging it into your phone.
3) Hold VOL UP + VOL DOWN while plugging in the USB cable to your phone. Stop holding with 'Warning' appears.
4) Press Volume UP and start ODIN (Run as Admin on Vista and 7, just to be safe)
5) Click PDA and locate the MD5 file extracted earlier.
6) Press 'Start' and be patient. It will take a few minutes because it is a large file.
7) You phone will reboot when its finished then you can unplug the usb and reboot your phone once again.

Your phone will never read "1GB". Due to how android handles memory, some will be reserved for it and not be visible to you. Kinda like what Windows does to your hard drive.

The mijjz goodness rom it starts like its wrkn then gives me error mesg plus i have yellow triangle when booting
Try this:
Download the rom on ur PC
Download the el26 kernel w safe cwm (tar version, not zip) on ur pc
Place all on ur external SD card
Use Odin to flash el26 (PDA slot)
If you get a pass from Odin, boot your phone into recovery (right away when phone blue light comes on after successful flash via Odin, or pull the battery and boot to recovery manually if u missed)
Wipe data/cache/dalvik
Flash ROM
Reboot....should be good to go.
And the el26 kernel is easy to find by searching the forums.

+1 to mobile Odin
Your issue could be one of two things (assuming you have the correct drivers) either the version of Odin you're trying to use is outdated or your usb cable/port may not be functioning properly.
Just to verify, you're powering your phone off, holding power and volume down to enter download mode and selecting the option to flash a custom binary correct?
If yes, try another cable if you have one, or another usb port on your PC to rule out those factors. The yellow com port should light up letting you know you're connected.
Also try a newer version of Odin if you're not already running it.
If all else fails, mobile Odin is definitely worth the money:thumbup::beer:
