[Q] Native SIP client - Samsung Galaxy W I8150

Hello,
Is it there a way to enable the native sip client on the galaxy w?? I tried some custom roms but none had it included, or maybe I'm missing something...
Thank you in advance for any answer

Try CSipSimple.....
AKAIK...it works, prob as well if not better than the native client...also on 3G....
I think there is a problem with the Native SIP....
only works on WiFi???
But, native SIP should be supported on ICS/CM9??

SIP client in WM6

Hello all,
I'm a new user to the WM XDA Live 0.20 OS.
I flashed it yesterday and it's working brilliantly.
I had one question about a new feature that should be in WM6.
I read reports and messages that there should be a SIP client build into WM6
I read on Kyphur's thread (first post with all the in's and out's of his OS) that 'Internet Calling' isn't at all ready and included in WM6.
has anyone more info for me about this?
And when I need SIP client for my WM6, what are the experiences and reccomendations from the users here?
thanks.
btw. I think Kyphur (and the team) are doing a perfect job....
Hey,
a working SIP Client in one of the next XDA Lives Releases would be fantastic

Until the Native WM6 works, I am using SJPhone
.
Just to expand on the WM6 SIP Client.
At this point in time it is an incomplete product. There does not exist any configuration tools for it and even though there are a couple of .dlls we can't really confirm that they do to much at this point.
I decided not to include it because it they ever complete it we can always add it with a Cab file.
Kyphur, can you create the cab file? A few people with your Rom would like to assist in trying to get it to work and they have been asking how to enable it.
Thanks
The VoIP installer cab that I did can be found here
I got lower latency using x-lite v2.22 than sjphone. It is also not as resource-hungry as sjphone. Might be hard to find as i think it is discontinued but its out there ;-)
Hey, do you a have link for the v2.22?
I just can find v1.0
http://rs26.rapidshare.com/files/11745634/X-Pro_Softphone_for_Pocket_PC_2.2.2.rar
Thanks!
You really made my day
X-Lite won't work, but for some reason this Version works great.
Do you know how i can use a BT Headset with this?
Because right now it uses the speaker for the calls.
Where can i configure the sip settings when i installed the wm6 voip thing?

I use the cab found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=278778 to redirect the sound to my bluetooth headset.

Any chance someone could post a mirror, Rapidshare is saying the download limit has been reached.
Thx

Quick cam question (geotagging)

I'm still using the OLD TyTN, which is a pre-GPS HTC device, so I don't know how well HTC integrates their built-in GPS into their own apps. Does Rhodium camera software include a geotagging for photos option, or does it require a separate hack/software?
(p.s. did a forum search for this, and got no hits, sorry if I missed it)
Not very surprisingly, it doesn't support geotagging out of the box.
You need to install the hack from here. Works great now
htc touch pro 2 , camera geotagging
It s support to use gps in camera for geotagging , you can search youtube to find out how to change your registry to use it .
I have it enabled but I can't seem to get it working ... I keeps on trying to connect to GPS.

Multiple language voice search issue

I've got probably a somewhat unique problem and I wondered if there was a setting or conf file somewhere I could tweak to fix it.
The problem is that I'm a native English speaker but I use my phone in Spanish. I wish to perform voice searches in English because there are some things for which I don't know the word in Spanish and because my accent means Spanish voice to speech is a little less accurate than it should be. my phone used to work perfectly in Spanish with English voice searching until Google added support for spanish. My current work around of changing the phone's language settings back to English then to Spanish again works but is less than ideal as it takes ages to do and you'd often be faster typing you're search in manually. is there another way round this? is there a setting I can tweak? my Desire is rooted if it helps!......Sent from my HTC Desire using the XDA mobile application powered by Tapatalk
Anyone any ideas?

guessing that's a don't know. I was thinking that voice search had to be instructed to send the audio to a specific server based on the language and that either the program might be patchable or some config file editable...maybe even a script to change the language then launch voice search then switch it off again? or some program that might catch dns requests for the Spanish server and re-route them to the English one? I am just theorising of course! perhaps there's even an option I simply don't know about? anyone got any ideas?

pretty please?

Ok I've been uber patient and waited ages....but it's time to bump again and see if anyone has any ideas

A couple of questions before I make the change.

I'm thinking on getting this phone. I have an iPhone 4 now and love the support in my language Greek for voice dialing over my bluetooth earpiece.
Could anyone confirm if you can do the same with this phone? This is very important for me, I have over 1.000 contacts and voice dialing is a time saver.
Also, how is the navigation? Which is the best app?
Thanks
Sorry I can't answer your question about the greek language, however, one of the things that I was worried about was the performance of the GPS, as samsung are historically pretty useless when it comes to gps performance. I can happily say though, that the GPS performance of this phone is simply perfect. I just use google maps for my navigation needs but there are plenty of other options available. Navigon, being one of my favourites.
Just check what languages does voice actions support... If there is Greek than you are good to go....
Although English is not my first language I still use it for dialing and texting....

Unfortunately there's no voice calling support for greek. Bad google!

Thanks, really sucks that Google hasn't got support for Greek and maybe other languages in voice dialing. Staying with iPhone.

I too can't seem to find it. It's usually under Settings->Call->Accounts. I have the D850 version.
Anyone? I'm assuming the phone natively supports SIP but could AT&T have removed it?

Thank you! This opened the SIP settings. Unbelievable I can't access them through the regular settings function.

Hi,
I to want to configure SIP, but no setting
Running Andorid 5. Looks like sip switch widget isn't compatible.
Any other options to use the native sip protocol?
I also want to know.
Hi guys,
I found the SIP settings with the Activity Launcher App. Simply install the app, select "All Activities", go to "Phone" and create a shortcut of "SIP settings". It creates a shortcut on your homescreen. Click on the shortcut. Now you should be able to create an SIP account on stock rom.
Note: Use at own risk. I didn't try it yet. I'll let you know if this works in a few days.
