I'm curious about using ext4 so I can have files over 4gb
I don't see much info on actually formatting to ext4 though.
I have aokp and Franco if it matters
Is there a guide or FAQ I'm missing

When I had my sgs4g well converted to ext4. I can't remember how though. I'm sure someone over there remembers. Good luck and sorry not much help.

There's no need to apply a lagfix.

Not internal partitions, the guy is asking about
converting the sdcard. Way different.

Not sure what you are talking about. The GNex does not have an sdcard. The /sdcard directory is just a symlink to /data/media where your files actually reside.

The sdcard is the entire internal partition. As stated above the sdcard is part of the data partition. Which is why it shows ~32GBs or ~16GBs depending on if you have GSM or CDMA. There is no separate sdcard partition like with a phone that takes an sdcard its all one big partition.

Yeah I know but I know people who are memory hungry, and in a sense have a S3 with 32Gb built in and 32Gb Micro sd so 64Gb's but it would be cool to have two 32's or better yet two 64G's(too damn expensive for two 64's though) lol.
But people who watch movies, would like that I use a 32Gb class 4 in my Epic. Bought to get a Class 10 replace this for my cars radio. But that would be nice and would definetly help for Movie people.
Imagine that and Blu Ray on a Phone haha?

That would truly be "Epic", but the software and harware back then in 2010 wasn't even thought of around our phones being built though if I'm not mistaken, but wasn't LTE for VZW in 2010?

Want this phone .... But I have a issue 32gb of space should be sufficient for my needs... But since it all internal how much does the ROM and system files take of that space? Or is the 32g an independent partition of space?

All of the ROMs are the best for somebody. You just have to find out which one is best for you. It's a DIY project by nature.

well, yeah, that's what I feel like writing, because it's such a pointless question. you want to know what people use more? check number of pages of every rom thread and you'll know what most people are using. same with kernels. then read those threads, get the device, and enjoy flashing from day 1 you get the device, already knowing before hand what is it that you can expect (approximately, since, most of all, every device is different) from X release of X rom or kernel.
not to mention that must be there like lot's of threads on this theme, and that's it's a rather subjective/personal one.
Any body have a link to an up to date tutorial on how to compile and build an aokp based rom and add mods to it?
Thanks.

Hell, if you can understand what you're doing, you can get away with a 40-50GB partition with both a compiled aokp + source + base os install.

The only ones I know of are in Korea. They do not have the 16GB model, but they have the 32 and 64GB models... Kind of lame...
So only 16 gig for US. Are you also in the Verizon forums? Seems like I may have seen you in the 7.7 group. Anyways thanks for the reply.

Are all these people complaining about space coming from a iPhone or HTC one x? Expandable memory guys! I'd rather have it on there then on the phone, saves a lot time in the long run

At that rate, you might as well wait for the Note III. It's technology, a few months after you buy it, something newer and cooler is out. There's already rumor threads forming about a new Exynos 5 phone.
But yeah, more expandable memory is better. Especially if you want to keep FLAC files on your phone.
But still can't install apps on the cards and these games are now larger than 2 gig.
