Would the verizon battery work in the gsm version?

Nope.

No. I don't think it would fit right because of the shape. Just a guess.

That's to bad. Weird because when I search for some to buy I never see of its specified for the gms or cdma

I haven't tried myself but supposedly it works with the existing back cover and you don't need the VZW branded one.

No, because the back cover won't work from Verizon without modification.
Use the stock cover.
The stock cover will work with the extended battery?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
The stock sprint battery cover fits with the Verizon extended battery.

Nexus accessories

I just got my nexus today and I am looking for accessories. Are all galaxy nexus accessories the same or do I need to find one for my carrier specific ones?

Yes, Sprint actually carries the Otterbox. I think they were designed for the Verizon variant, which is the same dimensions as the Sprint version.

Did you order it directly from Google? If so, when did you order it?

radios?

Is there someplace I can get newer radios for my galaxy nexus on verizon running jelly bean? I flashed a rom and keep getting an r by the signal meter. I turned roaming to home and pulled battery and lte sim to no avail. I know i'm not roaming but it just bothers me to no end. Any help would be appreciated. By the way, i'm running mmuzzys rom.
Did you look in the stickied radio thread?

This sticky. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1399802 But since there hasn't been a jb ota or leak for vzw there are no new radios anyway.
good day.
is it possible to use an older radio with the newer roms?

Spelling error, i mean you need to sand a small part of the GSM dock to fit your Verizon Nexus as the Verizon nexus is slightly larger compared to the GSM one. Look around here.

VZW Galaxy Nexus GSM mod??

My eyes hurt and I've been searching for at least 10minutes. Lol
I want to know if there is a mod/rom/script to turn my vzw nexus into a GSM phone. I assume no...most vzw 4g phones are global phones but I'm not sure this one is.
If you could link me that would be great. Thanks in advance!!!

probably not...i think the radios are different hardware wise. hopefully someone with better knowledge in this subject can clear it up for you
U can't because of the fact that vzw is CDMA so the radios are not the same.

My Rezound and DNA can be used on GSM...so that's not entirely accurate.

I think you're right in the sense that its not a global phone.

Yes because those phones where made like that. Galaxy nexus is not a world phone.

Yes it does. Just as most(if not all) Verizon 4g phones do. CDMA authentication doesn't work for LTE, so the SIM card was the authentication solution. Still no GSM radio.

Thank you guys for the clarification. I kinda new already but ya never know sometimes. Most newer 4g phones all have gsm radios in them and are able to be used on att and tmobile. I have verified this on my resound, DNA and the og razr's

Get off big red anyway. TMo is the way to go in the US....unless you have the delusion that you need LTE, which they'll have by the end of the year.
