The only problem I see with that is the back cover would have the vzw logo.

I haven't tried myself but supposedly it works with the existing back cover and you don't need the VZW branded one.

No, because the back cover won't work from Verizon without modification.
Use the stock cover.
The stock cover will work with the extended battery?

The stock sprint battery cover fits with the Verizon extended battery.

Be careful with craigslist phones. I know of several bad experiences with phones being blacklisted.

Depends on what carrier you're on too.

I would suggest meeting the person, testing the phone (drop your sim in and make a phone call), make the trade if all is good, sell the GS3 for $450-$600, and buy a new GNex from the play store next week, buy extended 2000mah battery, buy nice bottle of scotch, and toast your victory.
Have your cake, and eat it too.

What's the battery even? You might be getting sold a cheap ripoff.

Spelling error, i mean you need to sand a small part of the GSM dock to fit your Verizon Nexus as the Verizon nexus is slightly larger compared to the GSM one. Look around here.
I just got a Sprint Galaxy Nexus. I don't want to do anything wrong so I'm going totally noob. is this a good extended battery? I don't know about off brands or brands all together:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00746TQVM?in=6&is=300&qid=1350621165&sr=8-6Is
I'm pretty sure it'll work, but I want a second opinion.
Thanks!
No. If it's not Seidio or OEM, it's crap (generally).

So those are the "name-brands" that I should look for?
Thanks!
