Marketplace Trouble - Xperia Play Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I cannot post to the below forum or else I would

I have this ROM installed in my Xperia Play r800x, things seem to be working except that the marketplace no longer will install any of my previously installed applications, they all say incompatible with the device. Is there a fix for this or a limitation of using the ROM?
I read that the ro.sf.lcd_density= shoud be 240 and it was 210 I believe...I went ahead and set it too 240, rebooted, force closed google play and cleared cache and rebooted, still same issue.
cleared play store cache, changed lcd density, then booted to CWM and cleared cache THEN it started allowing apps to install...just thought I would post the fix I used. Though Im sure most folks know it.

Help request with Market force close issue

Verison LTE Gnex.
Rooted with CWM installed. I can successfully flash any 4.0.2 or 4.0.3 ROM and everything works fine. Typical wipe dalvik, cache partitions, data, and /system. But after a few minutes, if I touch any of "my apps" in Market I get a force close of Market. I've tried going to settings/apps/all and wiping Market cache and data. Still a no go. Market is FC on 4.0.2 OTA also, now. I tried fixing permissions inside CWM and that did not help.
If I uninstall Market updates in settings/apps/all ("back to factory version"??), then Market will work for a few minutes, then revert to the same behavior.
I am attaching a logcat of the Market force close. If anyone can decipher this and provide some recommendations, I would appreciate it very much.
Edit: FWIW, I first noticed this problem when I was running Google's 2-step verification process. This got to be a PITA each time I flashed a new ROM (there's so much new candy in the store!). So, I turned 2-step off. Didn't seem to make a difference with this problem, though.

[Q] Play store issue

Hi I am using a GS2 T989 with a stock rom, with Darksides kernel, and I haven't done anything to the rom EXCEPT for change the LCD Density of the screen, and I already changed that back to 240 because I heard that changing the LCD Density could screw with some play store things.
My problem is when I go to download some apps, it says that my device is not compatible with that app. I wanna know how to fix this..
I already deleted cache and wiped the play store data via settings > applications, and it did nothing..
I am stuck, there are updates it isn't letting me get, and it's getting frustrating...
Yeah this issue has been going around. It's just the kernel.

Apps won't download from Play Store

I can no longer download apps from the google play store. I press download, it says "Downloading...", the loading bar has small lines going across it, but progress never starts, and it sits there like this. Does anyone know how to fix this? I am running Tiny CM10.1.
My problems with the play store were solved when I wiped and reinstalled from scratch. This a sudden thing, or have you made any changes lately?
Others have also reported success by going in to Apps Management and choosing "Clear Data" for the Google Play Store. (There's also a Google Play Services in the list...not sure if it's necessary to clear that, too.)
I have had this problem somewhat recurringly on this rom, it didn't work for a while, then I cleared play store, download manager, basically anything with Google in the name. Other times this fixed it, but this time it wouldn't work even after a restart. I ended up getting it to work by rebooting to recovery, wiping cache, and restarting.

I Just had the same problem. Here is how I fixed it,
- Uninstalled updates for Google Play
- I added a New Google Account.
- I Then signed into the new Google Account, Then Sign Into Your Main Account
And "BOOM" problem solved.
I never had this problem until recently and it's happened several times now. It seems to happen after a major change to my system ie rom update or multiple app updates or Tibu restore I not really sure. I tried several methods of un-installing & re-installing the play store app and wiping it's cache and data with varying degrees of success.
What has worked every time without fail is a complete cache wipe with "CacheMate for root users" app.

[Q] Incredible reinstall CM7.2, gapps issue, and Force Close problems

I have been very thankful for CM7.2 and my rooted Droid Incredible. Its been a great phone for me and saved me tons of money by staying a great device to use. However I recently ran into some issues that made me think I needed to do a factory reset, wipe, and reinstall CM 7.2 and google apps.
So I downloaded the CM 7.2 for droid Inc and the gapps-gb-20110828-signed.zip file. I did a factory reset from within the phone privacy settings and rebooted into recovery using Rom Manager. I then wipe the data and cache and installed CM 7.2 and then the google apps. After a restart though, the google apps had not installed and I got multiple force closes. In addition, all the google accounts were still saved which I didn't expect since I had done a factory reset and wiped all the data. Even the Wifi passwords were still saved because I didn't have to enter any to access wifi. Some apps were still installed as well like Contacts +. So it seems like something didn't go right with the install.
If I installed gmail, google voice, etc from Google Play store on my phone, then I would get a Package Installer error and it would force close causing the app to not install. I could install apps to my phone using the Google Play store website on a computer. When I restarted my phone though all the newly installed apps would be gone and I would have to install them again. I made sure I was installing them to the phone and not the SD Card as well.
Other things aren't working right either. For instance the adw.launcher home button doesn't take me back to the default home screen. Pushing the button I get haptic feedback but no action for it. No setting for it under "settings" caused any change.
I did clear data on the google play store thinking that would help with the install of the apps but that didn't help either. I still get force close issues.
I am at a loss at this point and not sure what to do next.

I had same issue... But its a easy fix...boot to cwm reset wipe system and boot and cache and data and dalvik..Reinstall rom and gapps... after 1st boot wait a min or two.. open terminal type...su...then enter to get superuser then type..fix_permissions..then enter...this command will fix permissions...after thats done..type reboot...phone will reboot...you should be good to go...this only works with cm7-cm9..its done auto in cm10+ at boot..

Can't install Wi-Fi apps

I've been having this problem for about a week now. When I try to install an app that requires Wi-Fi I'm unable to install it on Wi-Fi or mobile data. It started when I flashed the inverted play store. So I wiped everything and installed insertcoin 1.6.0 and even like that I'm still getting the problem. I already tried uninstalling updates to the play store and clearing cache and data but still nothing. I can install any other app except if it requires Wi-Fi it'll give me error 963. Anybody else had this before. I was reading on the M8 forums that some of them have run into this problem but they just cleared data or uninstalled updates to play store and it worked for them
Here's another screenshot. Don't know how to fix this
After uninstalling updates and clearing the cache, did you try completely removing the Play Store from your device and then reinstalling? If you don't have the option to uninstall, you can use Titanium Backup. To reinstall, you can get the apk from here:
