Ad free android issue? - Samsung Epic 4G Touch

Currently running cm9 alpha 4 and I went into ad free android app and I keep getting an error saying this app is out of date, update to newer version. The only problem is its up to date. I've tried reinstalling, clearing data and cache on the app and nothing works. Anyone else having this issue or know of a solution?

Try AdAway

+1 for AdAway. AdFree always gave me only trouble.

Same here, suddenly Adfree started acting up with a fatal error. Went with Adaway and all is back to normal. Maybe Google pulled the plug on it?

Youtube Trouble

Anytime I play a youtube video I receive an error message: There was a problem playing you video please touch to try again. The videos never play. I had this same problem with the dk17 firmware, I woul just unmount/mount the microsd card and it usually would go away for a couple of mins (and eventualy wouldn't go away at all). I upgraded to eb13 thinking this problem would be eliminated but unfortunately it isn't. I tried clearing all the data for youtube as well as reinstalling it..but nada. What should I do?

I have actually never heard of this problem
You could try to use sdx app remover to backup and remove the app and then download the one from the market

I have fixed this by power cycle. Don't know what causes it. Error shows up after a certain cashe has been reached.

Market apps nor showing up as installed.

I'm running CM7 and all my apps are only listed as free and purchased. They all work fine and are in app drawer but im not getting update notifications because the market thinks they are not installed. I have went to settings>manage apps>market and the only option is to uninstall updates, cache and data are greyed out.
I have tried downloading them again and they will download and install then show as installed but within a few hours revert back to saying free or purchased. Anybody else have this happen or know of a fix?

Sounds like an auto restore problem...... try uninstalling all of them and then reinstall..... plus go into privacy and turn of the back up my data with Google option and see if that works

Tried that and still no luck. Gonna try wiping and reflashing.

Play Store Getting Force Close

I'm using the 11–7 nightly if CM10 and I've been getting lots of force closes when using the Play Store. Installed latest Gapps. Fixed permissions multiple times and cleared cache for Android Media. Help? 77
Bump for help?
Update: I'm now getting the "process.android.media has stopped" error.
Occurs when I try to download a new app.
In apo management, try cleasring cache and data for Play Store and Google services framwork. Then reboot and try again.

Tried that and kept getting an error when I try to download apps from the store.
Also, did a reinstall of the nightly and gapps again.
But to no avail, also cleared the cache for media.
Decided to do a system wipe and start from scratch, I am able to install apps now.
Will update if the problem re-emerges.
Sorry you had to resort to starting over. But I'm glad you got it working again!

It's fine, with Titanium Backup and a backup from Apex Launcher I was able to get my phone pretty much back to how I had it in less than an hour.

I'm on the liquid ROM and can someone explain to me why play store won't even open.

Data connection problems

I just got my Note 2 yesterday and rooted it using the root toolkit v3.0 and I flashed the Whompasaurus 2.4 rom. Whenever I tried installing apps from the play store they would never start downloading, the bar would just keep loading. I cleared the cache and data from the Google Play Store, Google Play Services, Google Services framework then rebooted and still couldn't download anything from the play store but I could connect to the internet using the browser. I can also use the xda and other apps that used internet.I reflashed the rom by wiping cache, dalvik, system, and factory reset and the same thing still happened. So I gave up and went to bed. Woke up and the apps installed no problem. Later today I had trouble updating some apps. Now im having issues with the Accuweather clock/waether widget updating the weather. It just keeps loading amd loading but never refreshes. Does anyone know whats going on or how to fix this? Thanks.

Sounds whack. I am not at all familiar with that ROM, and I've never run into such an issue so I can't give you any direct advice on that. Have you tried flashing other ROMs though? It sounds like it may just be a bug in that build.

Anyone have problems with new Maps?

The new google maps has been FC'ing like crazy on me when I try to use Navigation. It will eventually work after multiple FC's, but it rarely works right off the bat. Anyone else having this problem or is it just me? I'm rooted on tounchwiz.
No problems here just used navigation last night. And have the same set up rooted w/TW.. Not one force close! Might wanna try clearing data in the app, might help your problem!:what:

I haven't had a single issue. Maybe try fixing permissions or reinstalling

I've had problems. It doesn't seem to like the back button, or running in the background as its frozen a couple of times I've tried switching over and back from another program. I haven't tried again since the update earlier this week so some of the problems may have been fixed there. I figure with any major update like this, most likely needs time to work the kinks out.
If you can't even get it open, I suggest removing maps and reinstalling from the market, or if you're on a custom ROM, you can try clearing cache and Dalvik a couple of times and "dirty" flashing your current version again. That's fixed a lot of problem in the past. If that doesn't work, clean flashing is a good idea, not to mention half the fun of hanging out here on XDA.

I have the same problem as op. I disabled some of map's processes in autostarts to prevent battery drain a long time ago though, so I guess that may be my problem. (It all worked great with the last version of maps which I preferred.) I'm also still on Cleanrom 4.0.5 so I plan to do a fresh install of 4.9 just in case since I also have issues with my stock browser crashing lately.
