HTC One V video Unboxing & Camera bugs - HTC One V

Hey everyone!
Just did a video unboxing and first look at the HTC One V, i was really surprised at the amount of things that are off about this device. In fact im tempted to do a HTC One V vs HTC Hero video. I honestly think that the old HTC Hero in froyo or gingerbread flavour would out do the One V in MANY aspects.....just my opinion.
later guys =)

[Q] Desire vs Nexus1 vs HD2

I have had an HTC Desire since two months now and loving its feel of Android , vibrant led colours in display and the smooth 720p video recording .
But I was offered an even exchange of my Desire with the Nexus or the HD2 .
Im confused on choice , I really like HD2 huge screen, but its drawbacks to desire are numerous , like no amoled , no 16 million colors, no 720p .
Whereas Nexus , is pure beauty . It has a v slick rounded contour body with the multicolor led trackball , but less RAM than the Desire .
So I wan't some first hand experience from users , and comments like if I should stay with the lovely Desire or switch, and which would have the brightest future for upcoming future Android releases .

If you want the size of the HD2 but Android then get the Desire HD!! Best of both worlds!!
The extra ram on the desire is mainly for htc sense, and it's about the same with the nexus. HD2 has great community support and thats a huge plus. In my opinion the desire has the best looks, i love htc sense and i love android. A it's the newest from the three. I would'nt trade

[Q] what is difference to desire bought year ago to one now

hi i had a desire when it first came out , and then went iphone route, i am considering desire again but wonder if it would be updated with new sense ui etc that i read about on new desire models ie the hd and z . what differences could i expect , including android updates many thanks
No new sense until HTC releases official update.
Oh, and a year ago was before Samsung realized how good screen they made. After that they decided to f HTC in the a, so now you would get SLCD instead of AMOLED.

They didn't f HTC in the a, they just couldn't make AMOLED screens fast enough for HTC since HTC had 3 models that were being made at the same time more or less and they all used AMOLED screens. So they had to use SLCD screens as a compromise.
Anyway, no point in getting the original Desire now really since Desire S is coming out and will be better. Desire S also comes with 2.3.(x) I think so Sense would be updated. Where as Desire gets 2.3 update in Q2.
I must say bah to the iPhone.
There has been a few updates to the os most notably 720p video recording.

I'd say go for the HD Desire.
I have the old Desire. My friend has the HD. My word, its a beautiful phone. The screen is massive.
Compare the two on GSMarena.

[q] htc hd2 vs htc desire hd?

Hello should I trade in my HTC HD2 for an HTC DESIRE HD?
hey......
donno abt the HD2 but love the desire HD
For me it's yes

Since the phone beats it in ram and camera and other stuff and i;ve seen how smooth everything is in desire hd much better than htc hd2. But of course htc hd2 can run windows phone 7 and now also mango the latest version.. So im not so sure for now.
Are there anymore pluses towards the htc desire hd that i have not mentioned?
If you want to change between systems and try all updates, stay at the HD2. It´s the only device, which is able to run WP7, WM 6.5 and Android, also other systems. If you want to have a modern android device, which can be rooted, buy the DHD. If you don´t wanna root this time, buy the Sensation, because it has the fastest HTC CPU.
I´ve sold my HD2 in the spring and bought at 1st the Samsung Omnia 7, then the HD7 and at last the DHD. With the DHD i´m satisfied, but sometimes a little tear is rolling for the HD2. The best is, to buy DHD and have the HD2 too. The HD2 was the device, which i owned for the longest time, since i use PPC´s and smartphones.
Money=problem

Yes, well the best costs a lot of money And I cannot afford the best, so I think I'm going to trade my htc hd2 in for a htc desire hd!
Thanks for all the answers!
I have both, and frankly, DHD much better in my opinion

[Q] Is One V the new Legend?

Was wondering if any former HTC Legend users had switched to this One V.
And how is it?
Yes, it's the latest HTC Legend.
Yes, the One V has a chin at the bottom that makes us remember the HTC Legend. The One V is fantastic phone in this fantastic price in which you get Android 4 Ice Cream Sandwich as the OS. Also, the HTC ImageSense with the HTC ImageChip Technology gives us a real digital camra, not a mobile cam.

[Q] HTC One V Sense vs. HTC One S sense

So, I used to have HTC One X. It was a nice phone, but battery life was really really awful.
Now I have an old Samsung Duos, and I feel like I want an Android phone again. And I decided it should be HTC.
But now I have a dilemma - buy HTC One S or HTC One V.
I know that HTC One V version of HTC Sense is different from HTC One S's HTC Sense(which has the same version as HTC One X).
But what are the differences? The only two things I know are non-changable home-screen number and default Android recent apps layout.
What are other differences? The most interesting features for me are:
-Graphical interface - that white with nice cool icons.
-Themes - can they be changed in HTC One V?
-That cool camera app - is it the same as on HTC One S?
-Lockscreen shortucts - are they present in HTC One V?
-Smoothness - is HTC One V much more laggy than HTC One S?
And what are the other things which are different? Tell me please.
the obvious choice is go for the One S man!
i own both of em and im tellin ya go for the One S

Yes the obvious choice is of course one s as seraz007 said..
Concideruing your interesting features
graphical interface-one v and one s have the same icons (but one s has a lot more options for customisation you can change the no of homescreens, 3d rosie is available on one s, the pinch to preview homescreen feature is on one s -These all are NOT INCLUDED IN STOCK ONE V)
Themes can be changed on one v but one s has more themes (as it got updated to jellybean (i am not sure) with sense 4+ so sense 4+ themes are available)
camera has almost the same featues but one has a better camera in terms of Megapixels
Lockscreen shortcuts are avaliable on one v -but you cant change the lockscreen (one s has a variety of lockscreens like weather, friend stream
Smoothness-stock one v lags at times with multitasking due to a single core processor- One s surely performs better
Note- if u choose to root your one v there are many custom roms that provide all these features (but not all)
There's no question there, the One S is the model above the One V. You get what you pay for
If your comparing One V to the One S your obvious choice would be to go for the One S as it is better than the One V in almost every way.
I've been used both One S(S4) and One V. All I can say is One S way better but only the amoled pentile screen is bad for reading small text in broswer/pdf. On the other hand, One V used a low-grade IPS which is even more clear to display it on a smaller 3.7" screen.
If you talk about speed One S(S4) is 300% faster no kidding, the price tells you, be sure to get the S4 z520e, not the S3 z560e. The sense actually isn't much of a different.
However, if you decide to get One V because of budget purpose. You have to unlock bootloader and flash custom kernels/roms(sense4.1 4.0.4) void the warranty because the official rom we have is still only sense4.0 4.0.3 which is way too old and unusable(for me) because One V is a discontinued model now and no new updates from HTC. One S already received JB4.1.1 and will get sense5.1 4.2.2 after a couple of months, it has ongoing support. We might have chance to have JB4.1.1 later if any dev willing to port it for us, no promise.
The camera on One S is way better because of HTC stopped the camera driver updates on One V. If you run on the stock One V rom, the image quality is exactly like a year ago on your One X, pretty much an aged 4.0.3 style, very bad quality. After me flashed custom kernel + rom and borrowed the lastest camera.apk from One X/S, the image quality finally reached the HTC 4.0.4 level now, many works to do. However, the 4.1.1 camera on One S is better than 4.0.4, don't forget this point.
