Hello, does anyone experience a popping sound when they listen to music or watch videos? It's been happening to me quite frequently, and it seems to happen quite randomly. It also seems to 'pop' when i press the volume down or volume up buttons while watching a video or listening to music.
Anyone else experiencing this? I've determined it's not a problem with the video since I don't get any popping sound when I watch the exact same video on my laptop, and the popping sound doesn't happen at a fixed interval or anything. It also isn't a problem with my earphones as I've tried using the one supplied by HTC as well.
Any help please?
From memory I had this when playing around with dsp manager

I've had this once while browsing YouTube, don't know what caused it but it was annoying.
I rebooted my phone and its not happened since

All the time. I've got a Desire S with Sense 3.5 and that pop's as well.
Wow okay that sucks. Shall try turning off Beats Audio to see if it changes things. Or could it be an inherent HTC problem? Hmm.

Hi guys,
i've installed OTA 1.29.401.11 on my HTC One X but now, during reproduction of a youtube video, i hear many "clicks"...it seem like the very old cd burners when they aren't capable to extract the tracks.
Someone has the same problem?
Thanks
Exactly the same happen to me!
Sounds good to me that the problem isn't only mine.
I don't know if the issue depends on the last OTA.
I had this once and rebooting the phone cured it. It affected all audio for me including videos in the gallery
Don't have that problem. But a reboot of the phone might help or check if the youtube application needs an update...
do you have the same problem when using a headset?
I thought it's somehow related to the YT app itself. It's the only one I'm getting these audio clicks and stutters in. The problem gets especially crazy I have Audio FX Widget turned on (absolutely no problem in any other apps that play audio).
Hi guys,
Is anyone experience an intermittent audio stutter on the YouTube app. I was watching some YouTube videos this morning and there was no issue, however just 5 minutes ago I fired up YouTube and on every video I view every 30 seconds to 2 minutes the audio will stop for less then a second then continue.
Really annoying, sound off if you have it guts. It seems be be intermittent.

I've had this problem too but its fine at the moment running the latest LeeDroid rom.
I've had this bug happening to me as well. The problem is exaggerated when using some kind of EQ or DSP app/ widget.
What really annoys me is the loud pop whenever the audio chip is being turned on/ off. This can be heard (especially well with headphones) in every app that plays sound.
had the same problem on stock, very annoying...
Found that reinstalling flash solved it.
Now running charmeleon 5.0, no stutter.
Hope it helps
Have the same problem on stock! Have to reboot in order to get it fixed

Yep. I have it too. Latest Vodafone branded stock. Youtube app stutters and pops like crazy. When I play the same video through the browser it doesn't though.
When i watch youtube videos on my phone, or use different apps, the sound crackles and pops every now and then. I've read tons of people having problem with this. I know i had the problem before i rooted the phone, and i still have the problem now.
The weird thing is that i dont get this problem while using Spotify.
Anyone got a solution for this? Im dying to know.
It happens to me only when I use the You tube app when playing music or watching a video it doesn't do it it really does ruin the experience I haven't came to a solution yet sorry. I had two previous faulty HTC now x's they didn't have this odd fault.

Hello there,
I've lately experienced some trouble whilst listening to music. I'm using Poweramp music player on my LG P940.
It would work normally until at some point I wouldn't be able to hear anything although it says the music's still playing and the volume is at maximum. Turning up and down the volume, pausing and playing the music and unplugging and replugging the earphones would not help. Some minutes/hours/days later (different every time) it would work normal again. Has anyone ever had this problem before or has any idea how to solve it? (I know that this already is posted in a different thread but I ain't allowed yet to post something in there).

Hi! I wanted to post about an issue with bluetooth audio i've had since ever, but now i'm using it a lot so i want to try and solve it. I used to use stock and just converted to GPE. In both cases, the same problem happens: When i connect my phone to my car speakers through bluetooth, every song stutters for a second or two, sometimes several times in the same song. By searching on the forum the only tip i found was change the read ahead value. I tried a bunch of higher values, none of them worked.
I can say that the car bluetooth works fine with an iphone, so i have no reasons to blame it on the car audio.
And of course, there's no problem when i'm playing through the phone's speakers or headphones.
UPDATE: Forgot, something else happens with music: Sometimes it sorts of goes into a higher pitch, like a higher tone or something. And makes music sound weird. this happens occasionally as well.
Thanks in advance for the help
Mine does this too, with calls as well. Very frustrating....

Yeah, i know it's awful. And i'm sure my car is fine, an iphone worked fined with it.
So i guess no one really knows anything on how to fix this. :c
