I have the latest Darkside Evo installed. For the life of me, I cannot get DSP manager to run right on it. I flashed the latest version, it installs, but FC's when one attempts to adjust setting. I ran Darkside cache wipe/fix permissions script after flash, no go. Is it even possible to install on it at this time? If so, can someone be so kind to give me a link the proper flashable zip or apk. Your knowledge will be greatly appreciated. I will not be skip with the thanks button

Tried this many times. Results the same, Phone start to freeze alot especially if I try to enable anything in DSP manager. Do you have a link to the DSP apk you used? Are you using the t989? Which are you using?

Normal touch mode doesn't work so good. Try the "alternative touch" config when asked

Its is a file browser you can use in clockwork mod recovery by using install zip > (aromafilemanager.zip)
Use alternate touch method when prompted as it seems to work better

Doesn't help, because I didn't install any of those recovery apps before I was locked out of my phone.. I don't have CWM.
Unless you can install a new recovery mode without unlocking your phone?
I just want the stock SMS black without having to root. Is that possible?

Use search. There are couple ones in this section.

I did search and found several. But none work on my phone. I'm assuming its because I'm not rooted. Thanks for posting that link but it says there's a problem parsing package.

Hi,
Yes you need root, system applications don't install like other applications, they must be "push" directly in system/app folder and have the correct permissions...
Sweet. Didn't know we could install this! Can I just use root explorer to drag it there and install from system/app? Then do I remove the original messaging apk or does it just update over it? Thank you

Hi,
Yes you can use Root Explorer and yes just drag and drop in system/app and don't forget to set the correct permissions like the others apps in system/app...
For security rename your old Mms.apk (like Mms.apk.old or .bak) and keep it or move it in your sdcard,if something is wrong with your new app,delete-it and rename correctly your previous app.
Eventually reboot after and you're good...
Thanks it's beautiful. Now I rebooted but couldn't find any way to fix permissions. Do you mean in clockwork recovery? I'm using es file explorer. Thanks for your help

Re,
Yes you can set the permissions in recovery in advanced settings if I remember right.
I don't use ES File Explorer but Root Explorer but I think in ES you can change the permissions,no?Like Root Explorer:long press on the app?
At worst you do it in recovery...
EDIT:I just watched ES File Explorer on the Play Store and yes you can change the permissions (it's in the description) so it's like you want...Try in recovery it may avoid errors.
Thanks.... Really didn't wanna root this one

So I purchased the premium license and when I load up rom manager the premium section for ROMS is empty. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks
Yes, you paid for ROM Manager.
You should have saved $1 and bought ROM Toolbox pro. It has a lot more features. Also, no one really uses ROM Manager for ROMs anymore. Check out goo manager.

You would have to root your phone, then manually copy the APK file to the \system\app directory (and set permissions).

If all you do is root your stock ROM, then no; the only change is that you will have superuser access and have the ability to remove whichever bloat apps you wish. If you flash a different modified stock ROM, then the OP from which you download the ROM should tell you what apps have been removed; although as long as you go with the modified stock ROMs, you will still have S Beam, NFC, etc.

Are you running the original stock rom on your M919 Galaxy S4 phone?
If you are using the original stock rom M919UVUAMDB firmware then follow the instructions below.
Here is how to root your phone
Download Motochopper here: Motochopper
Extract the contents of the motochopper.zip file into a new folder on your windows desktop.
Make sure USB Debugging mode is enabled on your phone.
Connect your phone to your PC computer with the usb cable.
Navigate to the new folder you have made and double click the "run.bat".
Approve the ADB connection from your computer on your phone.
If all goes well and you see no errors this will root your phone and flash superuser.
NOTE: goomanager will not work if you are NOT rooted.
Once you do this successfully the next step is to flash a recovery so go to the google playstore and install the free app called goomanager.
After its installed open the app and click the menu key then select "Install OpenRecoveryScript" and wait until it gets done flashing.
Then in goomanager select the "reboot recovery" option and it should boot into TWRP Touch recovery.
Good luck!
