must have app -- screen adjuster - HTC One X

Wow I thought the display looked great as is and I decided to try this app. Just add +10 blue and the colors look a lot cooler, which I prefer and I think it looks better than the stock. This may be because I'm used to the oversaturated cool colors of super amoled displays but its still fun to play around with.

That's fantastic, do you know if settings are applied after boot?
Edit:
Nevermind, just found this option in app settings.

GREAT APP!
Just added +3 to blue and my yellow tint screen become perfect!

Nice find. I tried +10 blue but I found it wasn't to my taste. Grey's came out blue as well which was unattractive in my opinion.

I tried it few days ago and I fell it make the phone a bit laggy , anybody ?

It absolutely lags the device. I had tried it before I saw this thread and figured I'd chime in here for others.
The way this works is by applying a color filter to all graphic output. Whatever process it is using to do this is slowing down rendering. Maybe you don't notice it in Rosie (Sense's launcher) but it's absolutely noticeable using Nova.

yeah guys, unfortunately like other have said it does create a lot of lag, hopefully someone will be able to create a similar mod without the lag.

No lag using Apex Launcher and blue +6. If you increase contrast, lag is slightly there.

it's just been updated and now runs perfect :good:

no lag, need blue
I have to make +20 blue for compensating the yellow tint !
and believe me no lag if you dont play with contrast !

Got 4.0.4 OTA on my GNexus & I LOVE it...

Fastest smoothest Android phone I've ever owned... smooth as butter... no catching up on scroll lists, no lag period. 4.0.4 is an amazing software upgrade. All bugs of 4.0.2 have been fixed. No auto brightness problems, screen rotation fast and smooth. Bluetooth is awesome, wifi is awesome, 3G/4G radio is awesome.
And best of all... I'm getting 40-50% more battery power... I feel like I'm in looove with my Galaxy nexus all over again...
4.0.4 is the update that Galaxy Nexus should have shipped with. Congrats to everyone at Google who had a part in bringing us this awesome software update... Congrats!
Forgot to say that the camera software on the 4.0.4 update has been improved 1000x over the one from 4.0.2... what an amazing update. Kudos to Google engineers.
My Galaxy Nexus which is stock O2 UK came up last night saying 4.0.4 was available. It dowloaded the 37MB and restarted but never installed the update. Any idea's?
I agree, Google did an amazing job with this OTA, I am also in love again with my Nexus

I must be one of the few that doesn't like it. My battery life is worse, the device has a slight lag and the touch sensitivity is off. And my GPS won't work any more after hammering for the OTA. I really need to do a full wipe and clean but I've got too much on the device at the moment.

Ya something went wrong. Save your things and factory reset or even reflash that thing.
I found the signal on 4.0.4 to be VASTLY better than 4.0.2.
One issue I found was something weird with scrolling. Sometimes it feels mushy, and I have to press down harder/move my finger longer.
Yes. 4.0.4 is quite good. The overall experience can be described as smooth. Loving it!
Yes... it is amazing... faster... one little lagg when change between calls, contacts and recent calls, but nothing compares with the previous version...
I'm loving it!!!
Yes, to me it is waaay better than 4.0.2. Everything is smooth and working well. Battery life is amazing.
for me it is also amazing. battery life amazing improvement on standby. snappy as well.. looking forward for a year full of such improvements!

Grabbed my brothers computer and did a complete wipe. So far so good. I still don't feel like it's super great, my 4.02 ran very, very well. Much testing in order.
I haven't noticed any difference.

Then you are not very attentive.
I've never understood the obsession of folks with their live wallpaper. History has shown that on most devices they suck. They suck battery bigtime, because fools are too busy looking at their live walls and going WOOOOOOOOOOOO.....! that their screen kills the battery.
Live wallpapers suck on this device. Get over it, nobody cares anymore.
Love everything about the ota except the color. Anyone else notice a color change? My phone got very beige whites after ota and auto brightness seems less responsive. Its like the gamma was messed up. Couldn't see well in bright sunlight anymore. Once I flashed one of morfics color corrected kernels it was better but I thought my phone was messed up. All white backgrounds were flat beige.

Not that I've seen
Actually the only thing I noticed after the upgrade is that I did not need to install Volume+ since the ringer became loud enough.
I have a couple questions. Stil havnt received my ota update. I used the clear cache trick which worked but when updating, I get a Droid with a red exclamation mark.
1) Is the lag over with lwp?
2) did they fix the keyboard auto correction for other languages , ie I am Dutch and when pressing on a Dutch word I get English corrections.
3) did they improve the stock browser which I like better than chrome because of in browser flash

Live wallpapers and lag?

Most of the live wallpapers I use introduce lag when navigating around the home screen. Is this the case for everyone?
And if it is, why bother having them? Seems to favor style over functionality.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using XDA
I think everyone gets the lag. It's worse with some wallpapers than with others. It's not only the loss of performance but they also tend to use more battery. I don't bother with them. In fact, I like a pure black background.
Each to their own.
Yes its the case for everyone. Every LWP except "Phase Beam".
Paradigm runs well vertically with all lwp baked in the rom. Horizontally lags some. That said 3 of the lwp run well on my phone. Running stock and almost stock kernel.
bow chicka wow wow.

It's not all live wallpapers. The ones from Maxelus (https://play.google.com/store/apps/...XhlbHVzLnNoYWRvd2dhbGF4eWxpdmV3YWxscGFwZXIiXQ..) don't lag at all - and the Galaxy Pack is pretty complex. I was using the Galaxy Pack for the last few months until I made an Aperture Laboratories (static) wallpaper.
I think it's more of a coding issue than the feature itself. 'Don't hate the game, hate the player' - as it were...
Here's a thread with more lag-less suggestions:

Disliked the performance hit then, dislike it just as much now.

I like Phase Beam because its subtle.
Ya know, if you turned off Wallpaper scrolling, that takes away a lot of the lag
Also, Force GPU Rendering on the UI helps a lot.
Renderscript is what runs Live walls, which is already GPU rendered.
I got really bad live wallpaper lag only on stock Gnex.
Flashed AOKP and franco and even the most sluggish life wallpaper is now smooth.

LAGGY

Hi, I sold my SGS2 and bought the One X thinking it would be at least a smooth as the SGS2.
But its not! I've installed the latest Leedroid without sense, but still in general the phone is laggy.
Especially when scrolling in apps and stuff.
Also Go Luancher EX, wich was the fastest on my SGS2 is so laggy, especially when scrolling in widgets like the calendar widget.
What's going on here, isn't this supposed to be a beast of a phone?!
It's not the phone it's the apps that are not optimised for ics. Had the same problem with the Nexus.
You will find that things improve over the next few months as developers update their apps and Google tweak ics.
I had the s2 too which was great but love the hox so much more.

Hmm ok.
I was actually thinking of selling it, and to go for the SGS3 when it comes out, but the problem could be the same on that phone then?
I tried it from shop and it was fast like a hellhound. Don't blame your phone if you are using custom ROM. It's new technology. Be patient. Okay I can't test it yet in long scale because it looks like my friend has signed my parcel. I gave my keys when I left the apartment. When weekend is over, I can tell my experience with this phone.
So long my gf is all I got...

I agree with the previous comments, my one x had to be reset twice to factory because it had slowed down painfully slow in the first few days of ownership.
I've now only installed the apps that have been upgraded (check reviews for ics problems).
Since I've been more careful with the apps my phone has been flying with no slow downs in the last week.
I find it weird apps that are not running can affect the phone so badly, cest la vi.
Back up your files (even though you shouldn't lose them) and reset, you will be happy with the phone again

How are you lagging on LeeDroid? It's smooth as butter for me.

I swithed over to Apex launcher today. Took most of the day to get it all setup the way I like it. Apex runs very very smooth!!! Wigets on every screen.
Stock was sooooo laggy it was driving me crazy. You do lose alot of the sense wigets which sucks but I spend the day downloading and finding some good ones.
This should work for me if or until HTC fixes the issue.

Well Leedroid is fast, but I guess the problem is ICS. I mean the scrolling lag in many apps, including the widgets in my previous favo launcher: go launcher ex.
Nova is much smoother indeed, but the icons on homescreen are misaligned.
I mean they are to high, and at the bottom there's to much open space.
Is that the same for everybody?

Less color saturation on CM10?

Just curious if I am the only one who imagines that the colors on cm10 are less saturated than on stock?
I did not notice any difference. To me It looks as good as my Nexus 7 and 10.

Lag lag lag

I came from the insufferable Note 2. But at least there's no lag on THAT phone.
With this phone, both stock Rom and cm10.2, there is lag.
I've tried changing the processor to performance. No difference.
In fact, I've tried several different things that had absolutely no effect.
Any advice other than trying a thousand different things until I " get it right" ?
Unfortunately, Camera has stopped.

Why do you feel the need to disclaim that you didn't mean to "like" the post? Is it a mortal sin to ever say anything bad about android products and services?
Today, I went back to stock (4.1.2) and the speed was back to normal. For example, I played this game called Rope Escape. It is fluid once more.
When I was on CM 10.2, there was noticeable stutter in the game.
Now I've put SlimKat 4.4.2 on my device and it seems to be doing much better as well. We'll just have to see.
The thing with this android experience is that at first you get all excited thinking you're gonna have so much better battery life or whatever....and everything is great for a day.... then..meet the new boss, same as the old boss.....

So far, i've changed the read ahead to 256 and tried different governors. I think ondemand is the one that is ticked to right now.
I really liked the pequser one that was on my Note2 but I don't think it is available for this phone.
