Has anybody heard any news of Cyanogen supporting the one X?
I previously had a nexus one and honestly I miss Cyanogen. Anybody tried their hand at porting it over?

A release has been made by TripNDroid:
http://www.modaco.com/topic/353715-07-05-rom-cyanogenmod-9-endeavor-unleashed-mobile-data-fixed/
Apparently works very well although havent tried it myself.
I guess official support will also come at a later date

Yup just did a Google search and came up with the same deal. Just wish we didn't have to manually flash the boot.img, Really limits me from trying out roms as I'm never at home, so I can't use my PC that often. Oh well, time to invest in a laptop ey?

I tried this ROM and it would be my daily driver if it wasn't for 2 problems:
When in a call the person phoning me had their voice echoed back at them constantly.
Sometimes the device wouldn't wake from deep sleep when I pressed the power button.
A fantastic AOSP port which I'll be going back to when the bugs are ironed out

Oh that's not going to work for me. I'm a massive caller and can't have something interfering with my stuff like that. I might try my hand at developing a rom when I get some time off.

Well it depends When we GEt our Hands on it .. i think it will be little tuff this time as different kinda mods hang in which we need to remove the battery but the creators of HTC make it to a Unibody that is The problem i think >>>!!! Lets see :

I was hoping for a response like this, being a Samsung lover, I know Samsung are good at supporting the Dev community so I was asking this to see if someone could give me an insight in to how HTC are with Devs?
Also how is the themeing on HTC phones because I know Samsung phones get themed quite easily?
Thanks

...when are we due?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1594470
although i prefer not to have it the way it was back on the Sensation....no BT and no camera....
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1542830
what worries me is that the Sensation (last year's flagship wasn't it?) still doesn't have source released for camera & bt, hence no support in CM9/MIUI

Well it will be the same as sensation until one x kernel source is released by HTC I would imagine. It will prob need a port. I was going to have a try but haven't got the time

if you'll see something, it won't be on XDA guaranteed
Well, since the ASUS Transformer Prime has CM9 nightlies (same Tegra 3 chip), then I can't see this taking long. We just need to keep nagging HTC for kernel sources so camera will be supported.

there is already another thread about this in the theme & apps section
its basically vlingo with a new theme
not in the one x forum their isnt, im letting all one x users know that this fantastix app is now available
Wasn't impressed by this vlingo themed app. Thought Samsung would have created their own.
Flipboard on the other hand works perfectly on the one x, from the s3 extract

vlingo is horrible! Kills the battery like crazy and often dials the wrong people (sometimes with hilarious consequences).
Tried it I don't like it. I didn't like suri on my 4s only thing I used it for is texting when driving. But I can already do that on my hox

I wouldn't bother - android central stated it doesn't work well on the SGS3 that they tested in London.
Also,
http://www.androidpolice.com/2012/05/20/full-hands-on-with-samsungs-s-voice-for-the-galaxy-s-iii/
To summarize, its voice recognition is utter rubbish & they hope it's because it's testing on a galaxy nexus.
Doubt it very much, as Android central stated the same when testing on the sgs3.

It keeps saying "Network error. Please try again" via wifi connection. Any idea?
If you look at the apps signature, it's made by Vlingo. That's not necessarily bad as Vlingo's a decent app but it's certainly not some new earth shattering Siri fighter as Samsung's portraying it. I tried it but it doesn't work over BT which is the only place I'd use it. Hopefully Vlingo will update their stock app so it works better on the One X.

Hi,
Same here, but with the fix of BlackElvis79, it's working now.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1664785
I'm on CoreDroid ONE X V3.0.
Not a really great app...
So if this is vlingo in a new suit is it really worth going through all this trouble to get the Samsung version working on HOX? Why not just install vlingo from the market?
i searched and found this apk file of S-Voice that works without manipulating anything.
/?fp04n29phdzeram "add this after mediafire dot com.. i cannot add a link unless i have 8 posts -__-"
i installed it on my One X and it worked when the one here didn't!
Doesn't work anymore, Samsung got Vlingo to cut out all devices trying to access the network unless it's an SGS3 so don't bother.
Guys,
I know there are many posts like this, but to be clear some of those who prefer to stick to desire rather than one x are hoping for sense 4 including me. Unfortunately shaky discontinued his work and no one is interested so I speak for those sense 4 fanatics that we hope this project is continued again, no ETAs no nagging.

I guess some things are too much of a trouble for the devs, think audio was the main issue apart from other stuff of course. And yeah, let it go dude there are already decent ICS roms out there if u want ICS... Btw if you plan on investing in a decent budget phone with Sense 4 I would suggest the One V - bought it for my girlfriend a few months ago and she loves it! And to be quite honest it simply delivers - it is very smooth and fluid, you get the whole sense 4 experience with a very few corners cut, being a few animations here and there and the helicopter view.
I think we can port desire V rom to desire, the spec of desire v is similar than desire

Are you willing to try another rom, a sense based one ?!
Sent from my HTC One X using xda premium
No, i hate 320 dpi. Btw I always used other ones without problem (it started during MiUi period I think) . 1 week viperX, didn't like at all, then Cm X, MiUi Australia, MiUi and now PA: the best one. I also tried another Sense after MiUi Australia, but forgetting DPI stuff... 1min and I switched to MiUi

I'm pretty sure that making it repair tru warranty will takes weeks.....

xloud was never gonna fix this as xloud only boost the rear speak.
the problem is with dirt inside the case you need to open it and clear it out.
Perhaps a "blow job" will help.. Buy a bottle of air and try!!
If it fails, open up the device and clean it.
