Looking for UKW Radio app - Galaxy S II Themes and Apps

hi guys,
i am looking for a working UKW radio app for my Galaxy S2 9100. the rom i use is Dragon ICS V2.4 and Siyah Kernal. install the spirit fm radio, but this does not work
any ideas ??
thx for your help.

Try using an another kernel.
e.g. German Fluxi - works great

sounds easy, i give it a try
thx

so, i am back, but with fluxxi it does not work.
always get an error message. i installed a stock ICS for a try, works perfect there. so i think the problem isnt the kernal.
any other hints ??

[HELP] Froyo rom + working Radio FM

Hi there
It's been a lot since root release but i still have to root my device, since i saw around a new tool (unrevoked3) that makes it simple and fast i wanted to give it a shot and see if the devs around there made some good roms.
What i've been looking around is a stable Froyo rom, better if w/o sense, and with working Radio FM but i can't seem to find it. Everyone talk about 720p camera, incall echo, LED mods, theme mods, etc. but i can't find a rom where it states "Radio FM: Working" and even looking around in the thread i can't find a clue if it works or no.
So, anyone knows one that i can try? Thanks.
I'm using the LeeDroid ROM (v1.3) and the FM radio works fine. I also used Unrevoked3 to root my phone, and it's nice and easy.
I think that the FM radio only works on Sense-based Froyo ROMs.
Regards,
Dave
Thanks for the tip, gonna try LeeDroid rom then i'm curious to see how froyo performs.
You can always install a home replacement so you have FM radio but a stock launcher and homescreen.
That's what i'm doing atm on my 1.21 stock rom but the lack of space in memory is killing the fun of using this device, i've installed just a handful of apps and the memory is always around 15ish mb left, i'm spending more time deleting apps than using them

ephumuris,
Can you please elaborate a bit on what is meant here? I'm using a custom ROM w/o Sense, and find it perfect other than it's got no FM radio - something I'm missing from Sense.

[Q] Android 2.3 GPS not working

Please help, on android 2.3 like GingerVillain or caynogen RC2 my GPS isn´t working. But when I install any 2.2 ROM it´s working fine. I tried reinstalling, changing radios, kernels but nothing help Can someone help me ?? (Sorry for my bad english)
me too...
now on Amtethyst 1.0 it´s working very good, but with with some other ROM it isn´t ....
This is a know bug in some AOSP ROMs - however in some of them it should be fixed.
Using CM7 with GPS, nothing wrong with it....
Didn't work for me on an older radio but works fine with the latest. Try using faster fix and GPS status from the market.

All custom roms will have a bug or two. There is no prefect rom and there never will be. IF you want a rom that just works stay stock. This is not a rom site it is a development site. Which means we like bugs cause then we can learn to fix them on our own.

[Q] Any such thing as *fully* working ICS/JB + Sense4 ROM?

Hi Everyone,
Long time listener, first time caller.
Over the last couple of months, I have tried virtually every ROM I can get my hands on for my DHD, and I always do a full wipe (format) of /system, /data, /cache, Dalvik, and .android_secure before install.
The only ICS ROM I can get working fully is Blackout, but it is Sense 3.6.
I have tried Viper, and *really* like it, but Bluetooth is broken (in 1.2.0, .1, .2, and .3)
That seems to be the case for me with Sense 4 ROMs (lite or full); if Bluetooth works, then WiFi is broken. If WiFi works, then Bluetooth is broken.
ROMs I've tried (latest):
Viper
Miui
Jellytime
ARHD
Blackout (S3.6, which is where I'm at b/c it works)
IceCold
IceSense
CosmicSandwich
Sabsa
codefireX
Kernels I've tried (various releases up to latest):
Beastmode
KangBang
Virtuous
So, I'd like to know if there is such a thing as a fully-working ICS/JB ROM with Sense 4? I cant seem to find one. W/o Bluetooth and WiFi, nothing can be considered a "daily driver", imo... especially w/o Bluetooth, if you know what I mean.
Thanks!
I'm baffled; all of those ROMs should have both BT and wifi fully working. What's your recovery and version?
EDIT: and what's your radio?

Same here, bluetooth is one of the few things that ALWAYS work (except for 4.2.1, but that's expected).
Are you wipping between flashes ?
Thanks for the replies, guys.
As I outlined above, yes, I am fully wiping b/t ROM installs - even restores - please see my method in first post.
I am using ClockworkMod Recovery (HBoot for booting) and have paid for ROM Manager, which entitles me to further updates to CWM than what is available on Play. I currently have 5.8.1.5 installed (CWM Touch).
The radio varies from ROM to ROM it seems, and I should have documented which version in each ROM, but right now, in Blackout, it is reporting 12.56.60.25P_26.10.04.03_M. <--- That number stays consistent, afaik, but the first letter will change (U and T, iirc).
When I say that Bluetooth doesnt work, specifically what happens is that it either doesnt pair with any device, or if it does pair, no sound will be transmitted or the pairing will only last for a second, maybe two seconds at most.
Deleted.

The radio shouldn't be changing with each ROM unless you change it. But with that said, nothing seems out of the ordinary. You could try reflashing your radio manually? Other than that I'm out of ideas.

I dont know much about that, but with that said, I just re-flashed Viper 1.2.3 and my radio now reads:
12.56.60.25U_26.10.04.03_M, which is different than it was above with Blackout.
I have not tried re-flashing my radio manually. I wouldnt know which one would give me a better chance of success...

Once I flash a new ROM, the kernel and the radio are the same I had or the new ROM comes with its own kernel and radio?
Thanks in advance
roms do not come with radios tho they do have their own kernels. Radios are region based not rom based so there is no rom specific radio just what works best in your area.

Thanks for the explanation. So, if I bought my mobile in Spain, the radio is different if I had bought, for example in France?
depends on how close they are to each other whether same service is used in Spain as in France or if they are totally two different service. I would Google the carrier you use then see what radio they shipped with. Even in the radio thread you may find an answer to which radio is good for you in the area your at.

you have tried almost every rom except for the ( pacman rom v18 ) its a jelly bean 4.1.2 based rom , i am stuck with it , every thing is working perfectly ( wifi , bluetooth , camera .... etc )
with some common tweaks i get an excellent battery life ,its even better than it was in the stock gingerbread rom ...
by the way , its non-sense rom

Bluetooth not working in car

Hi All,
I am running the January 19th AOKP build on my HTC One V. I was able to get the phone to pair with my TSX and can dial out. The problem is that I can't hear anyone after I dial. I was reading it had to do something with the kernel so I flashed the latest version SickleSoftware-01_21_13-1546supersick but it didn't help. Is the issue with the kernel or the ROM? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Would this be a problem with the boot loader (Super Sick) or the actual ROM iteself?

Just try!
I recommend the HELLBOY kernel. works fine for me.
I'm not sure the HELLBOY kernel works with AOKP.
As i said, just try!

Is HELLBOY available for the Primo C? Sorry I didn't mention that.
OK I think the issue lies in the CM 10 build.
I have installed every ROM I can find for the CDMA One V with no luck. I just can't hear anything else through my Handsfree Bluetooth. I tried both SuperSick and JMZ with no luck.
I then went and tried X3reme sense with the 3.0.30 JMZ PrimoC+ and that works with my car.
Is there any way I can change the dialer from the stock to what HTC uses? Maybe I can give that a try.
So I also tried the Stock ICS for the One located here and Bluetooth works in my car (I only have phone not music in my TSX). So I guess I'll need to wait for HTC to bring out the Bluetooth version for JB and try that.

This rom is a little on the lag but I can live with it. Hopefully that doesn't mean the CPU is being pegged and draining the battery.
So the same issue looks to be in 4.2 as well. So this might be above what I can handle. Is there a way I can compare something from the Bluetooth module in x3remeSense010213_signed and Vanilla ICS v2.1 which is running 4.0 and compare it to a 4.2 ROM?
I can pair and the connection is established from my car and the phone, I just can't hear anything with any 4.1 or 4.2 build.
