stuck on HTC quietly brilliant screen :( - HTC One X

I have just tried to do a restore from a backed up rom using recovery and it wont go past the HTC logo screen.
I have wiped all settings but still no luck
Help needed please

Go into bootloader mode (vol down + power), fastboot, type 'fastboot erase cache' 'fastboot reboot-bootloader', and then reboot.
Sent from my HTC One X using Tapatalk 2

So you have re-locked the bootloader and have a stock recovery right? Try erasing the cache in fastboot.
I think the command is "fastboot erase cache" but I'm not 100% sure on the command.
NVM, UnlockedNand has got this one.

Cheers guys
just tried it and no go sorry
My bootloader is unlocked

Flash a new boot.img according to the rom you are flashing. Superwipe, and then flash the rom.

just flashed 2.6.39.4 kernel and all is good

Thanks! It worked!

This is the exact solution which worked. I was stuck after I unlocked my Sprint HTC Evo 3D via htcdev.com. I did these steps:
1. "fastboot flash boot boot.img" (extracted from Cool ICS rom)
2. Wiped everything including partitions using 4EXT
3. Installed Cool ICS rom
Thanks!!!

tried flashing jb hd revolution rom and now stuck here.
force restart takes me here and hold vol down does nothing?

What is your hboot number ?
Which rom did you try to flash ?
Did you do a full wipe before installing ?
What custom recovery do you have ?

HBOOT Number 0.95.0000
I try several custom ROM-s (Clean, Android Revolution HD, ...)
Yes , I did a full wipe
I have ClockWorkMod Recovery 5.4.8.0

You cant flash any JB rom because your hboot do not support them. Only the aosp roms probably work like CM10. I suggest you update your hboot first to JB
Do the fastboot command
Fastboot getvar version-main
Fastboot oem readcid
Post them back and i provide 2 options to update the hboot

You can do this :
Download this file
http://androidfiles.org/ruu/securek...Radio_2.1204.135.20_release_274900_signed.exe
Put the phone in the bootloader and lock it
Fastboot oem lock
It will reboot and there will be some warning sign in the bootloader, keep it there and execute the RUU from the PC with admin rights. Click the ruu.exe with the right mousebutton and select
Run as admin (or similar command)
Note : this will flash the phone to full stock. After the ruu you boot into the phone and check manually for updates to JB !
Second option :
Go here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1957376
Download the firmware package for your CID and rename it to firmware.zip
Put the phone in the bootloader and lock it
Fastboot oem lock
Then perform the next commands
Fastboot oem rebootRUU (bootloader reboots)
Fastboot flash zip firmware.zip
This will update the hboot only .....
After this you unlock the bootloader again and flash the custom recovery, flash the boot.img from the Rom and do a new clean install of the rom

I'm waiting for RUU to download
I let you know if I did it right
But Tanks Anyway

what's your CID first of all?
---------- Post added at 10:40 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:37 PM ----------
this is the procedures to follow...
but you need a certain CID before starting this...
Relock your bootloader using the commend 'fastboot oem lock'.
Go into fastboot mode and type 'fastboot oem rebootRUU'.
Flash the new firmware using the commend 'fastboot flash zip firmware.zip'.
On first time running the commend you will see FAILED, don't panic and just run the commend again.
Reunlock your bootloader via HTCDev.
Flash custom recovery using the commend 'fastboot flash recovery recovery.img'.
Download boot.img and flash it using the commend ‘fastboot flash boot boot.img’.
Use the commend 'fastboot erase cache' to avoid boot issues.
Go into recovery and install the ROM.
Reboot your device and enjoy from JB!

what I can do to update my officially HTC rom

If you are on stock there is no need to relock the bootloader .... You restored a nandroid that was taken with a custom recovery, my guess is that you did not flash back the stock recovery !

yes here is it
C:\fastboot>Fastboot getvar version-main
version-main: 1.29.461.11
finished. total time: 0.094s

Then you have to download the 1.29 recovery from the first link i have you
Flash it and it should be fine
If your bootloader is locked now you have to relock it
Put the unlock_code.bin file and the recovery in the fastboot folder and do the commands with the phone in the fastboot usb mode
Fastboot flash unlocktoken unlock_code.bin
It will unlock the bootloader and then
Fastboot erase cache
Fastboot flash recovery "name of the recovery".img
Fastboot erase cache
After that try to update again. You can keep the bootloader unlocked

How to flash with recovery .?
You can't flash it with the recovery it has to be done manually with fastboot commands, see my post above yours
And how is your battery holding up, enough power, otherwise recharge it first to full before you start. If you end up with problems you have at least a full battery to solve it

If you have a HTC one XL you are in the wrong forum, you have to go to the AT&T ,rogers, HTC one XL forum........hold the volume - button and the power button until it restarts in the bootloader, it will be written there if its locked, unlocked or relocked. And it will probably say EVITA at the top, this forum is for the ENDEAVORU type phone. If it says EVITA do not flash anything from here you might cause a brick !

One X - recover stuck on red triangle, no mobile, no wi-fi

Hi all,
I've tried to install newer InsertCoin ROM, during HBOOT update, the phone booted to his current ROM with no Wi-Fi or Mobile access, recovery stuck with red triangle, Trying to install some custom recovery using fastboot v1.2 - got "writing recovery - failed not allowed" message. What is the fastest way to get phone back to work?
Did you re-unlock the bootloader after updating the hboot?

Not allowed error is when the bootloader is locked or relocked. Unlock it via the htcdev site and flash a custom rexovery. Then flash the boot img from the new rom, make a FULL wipe in the recovery and install the new rom !

The phone os S-ON , is it ok? Should I flash new image using flashboot or other interface? Thanks In Advance
I'm not talking about S-On ....I'm talking about a locked or relocked bootloader.
Is it unlocked ?
When you succesfully updated your hboot with a firmware flash you MUST unlock the bootloader, flash a new custom recovery, install a new JB rom and flash its boot.img
A custom gets broken when you update the hboot because locking/unlocking will set the phone to factory state. So it will delete the current custom rom.
Also could you, guys, elaborate why my original ROM started to act spooky - no Wi-FI and so on.
Probably because you updated the hboot. You have to start from scratch after that. It gets messed up
I did as you proposed, unlocked bootloader, installed CWM recovery, wiped data, dalvik cache and installed the InsertCoin ROM, the issue - that I got same problems - Wi -Fi displayed error and not started, SIM is not recognized, no network. Could you please advise what to do now?
Flash the boot.img from the insertcoin rom !

Actually hboot 1.39 is correct. The firmware might contain some wrong info but is 100% correct. And you cant flash any other firmware. It will stall on the flash and gives an error. So my guess its all oke.
Fastboot flash unlocktoken unlock_code.bin

[Q] HTC one X freezing on every rom

Hi,
Today i tried to install the MIUI rom for my HTC one X, but it kept freezing after 20 seconds.
So i flashed the backup i made before i flashed the MIUI rom, but it froze.
After that i tried to flash a backup i made about a month ago, but didnt work either.
Please help, many thanks
Did you flash the boot image from the miui ROM zip? And when flashed your backups did you reflash the boot img from the backups ?. Last but not least , did you fastboot erase cache after flashing each rom ?

Thanks to reply so fast,
i did flash the boot.img from the zip of the MIUI. but did not fastboot erase cache.
After i installed the MIUI rom, i booted my device several times and could get passed the bootlogo, but it just freezes after 30 seconds or so.
So i decided to flash those backups, without reflashing the boot.img (thought the backup restores those) niether did i fastboot erase cache.
so now he freezes on the bootlogo after 3 second or so.
Seems to me that you didn't wiped properly, or your hboot is to low maybe ?
