Didn't u read the post
# gsm data buggy for some it works for some it doesn't
# baseband 64 recommended
Sent from my LT26i using xda premium

It would be handy if they did a list of all confirmed carriers that GSM data works on when using CM9.
It doesn't work on Optus in Australia, but I only found that out after putting it on my phone.
G

there are too many pages to read..but thx for your info.
When i flash to base 64..the cm9 stucks at the skate board screen.
but at base 56 is able to start nicely but no 3g..sad
Damm the 0% battery issue.

For me phone feels snappier. And data is a bit faster/responsive for me when using slow apps like the facebook app.
Seems OK, got it from Paul O'Brien in his ROM

Excellent. I'm on 3uk and for the first time since getting the g-nex 2 weeks ago i'm finally getting full bar reception at home on hspa. Rooted and using Paul's latest rom and Franco's latest kernel.
THANK YOU!
Yet another KL1 comes up... Sweet!
I flashed the Korean KL1 yesterday (because Wind Mobile users were having major roaming issues with the north american KL1) & Battery life, Battery Readings, Signal & network speed is much better. Best of all no roaming issues.
Here's a link to that 1 as well http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1439217
Will try this 1 later
Thanks! So far so good. Not intensively tested yet, but reception seems to have improved, here in the Netherlands. I was having some issues with that. I was using the xxkk6 radio.

Works fine here as well.
Can't really see any difference with regards to signal strength/performance.
But I guess we'll see if it has any effect on battery in a couple of days.

Thanks a lot for the radio, it improved both wifi and network reception for me compared to the xxkk6 radio. Cheers!

Will this baseband most likely be the one included in stock 4.0.3 or do we think something 'newer' will be included with that update?
Im on 850MHz Telstra Next-G using XXKK6 (AUS2 radio network)... might have to flash and test it out.

Let me know how you go... currently still on the stock Telstra radio but haven't seen much in the way of comparisons.
I live in Asia, for me krkl01 tad better than xxkl01, signal strength and download speed wise

Do we need to wipe cache / dalvik for this, or are these only for flashing ROM's / Kernel's?
Thanks

3G not working in Vietnam

Hi, I am using Incredible 2 in Vietnam. When I updated from 2.3.3 to 2.3.4 and rooted my phone, now 3G is unstable and I can only use Edge, is there any suggestion to fix this problem? Thank you in advance.

I'm using Viettel Mobile
When choose UTMS & GSM, if I chose UTMS dual, 3G is unstable, it is only stable on GSM only.
For what its worth, I'm using Aerovan's latest CM9 with Mobifone and have Edge+HSPA using the network mode "GSM/WCDMA preferred"
I've been using Aerovan CM9 this whole summer in VN without much trouble. Hope this helps!

T-mobile + Telus = 3g ?

I was wondering, i have been trying different roms for a couple of days and i noticed that if i dont use TELUS roms, i do not get a 4g logo on my screen.
It's always on 3g. Is it actually runing at 3g or is it just a bug since im using a T-mobile rom on a Telus phone ? Is it actualy runing 4g ?
Curently on Infamous 2.9.1 with Venom 3 #5
Any advice ?
I was thinking on trying the Stable CM9 next with Venom 6#1
Thank you.

Yes this is a known issue dating back to gb roms. Telus phones will only show 3g but will still be using hspa+ (4g) as usual. It's a cosmetic issue only

Thank you for clarifying !
I am showing HSPA:11 is this 4G?
If not what radio and tweaks do I need to make. And what are some working links?
I have been searching for the Blaze 4G radio (not sure which version I need), which was suggested by many as the best radio for TELUS users, plus any tweaks. But none of the links work.
I am with TELUS. Using the lastest Darkside Kernel, AOKP milestone 6, LLE4 radio.

You guys have to realize that 4g is actually 3.5g lol. So just run done speed tests, that should answer your questions right away.
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda app-developers app
I understand that 4g is really 3.5g. My question is what is the best radio and tweaks for a T-989D in the Toronto area.
And working links to the radio.
I already understand that in these ROMs, H is the symbol for 4g (3.5g). Also the speed on custom ROMs isn't as good as Stock.

There is a flashable zip that fixes this issue. Go to the Jedi ROM in the development section. It's on the first page under add ons. Should be good on any tmobile based ROM for those of us with Telus phones.

Oh that wasn't directed towards you, that was more towards the general concern of op's.
Regarding radio it really is random, some user's opinions on radios differ from others even though they're in the same area. I wouldn't focus on the speed and focus more on the latency because where's the point of having fast speed when half the time I'm waiting for a response (ping). You can go into some of the custom roms thread, some have modded radios ready to flash. Check out tdj's thread he has like 3.

[Q] Why is Kobridge's rom of FL16 without 3G ?

I'm a Chinese user. We've got no 4G in China , but only 3G.
I like Kobrige's rom of FL16 so much , but I can't find the option of opening 3G.
Is there an option that I have not found , or this rom is without the function of 3G ?
So many great persons and good persons here in this forum , I love here.
System settings, more settings, mobile networks.
If that doesn't work flash any JB modem.

Doesn't really matter cause the rom is blazing fast, smooth and has good battery life. Personally i'm probably not going back to older version of android.

Can someone uplaod screenshots from this roms? and which rom is best for daily use? I'm on stock rom, but I want to go on kit kat and don't want to explore too much. if somebody tried all of this versions of roms and can tell me which is best for daily use?
Tnx a lot
They look the same. Psx and cm are more customizable. Looking at the cm thread, seems they are not getting the best battery life. But on psx it is amazing. On any other rom EVER i have never gotten battery life this good.

Dang... No matter what I try, I can't get any network signal with PSX on my F180S. Tried settings and steps recommended by @davevinci to no avail. Also tried experimenting with some different values for those build.prop items related to the modem/RIL/network after reviewing and comparing build.prop files from ROMs that work for me. Nothing seems to do the trick. Looks like I am out of luck, at least for now... Reverted to 4.1.2, which works perfectly.
I am curious, did anyone with a Korean F180x (not E97x!) in Canada or in the US actually make any 4.4 ROM work (not just PSX, but anything)? For some reason, nothing but stock-based ROMS seems to work for me so far. Not a big deal, as I am pretty happy with stock at the moment, but would like to see it working properly on my phone...

Yeah, I can see you are in Philippines. I was looking for someone local here just to make sure we are dealing with the same networks and freq. bands.
The phone says "No Service", no matter what. I did a bit of research on the build.prop lines that you are referencing, and tried changing them to different values (your settings seem to be for CDMA with LTE only), but nothing worked so far. For the time being, I am giving up experiments, unless someone with the same phone on Canadian or American GSM carrier can tell me what exactly they did to make it work.
Like I said, it's not a big deal -- I am not desperately trying to make 4.4 work, but rather just curious about it...

Looks like you added this question later, I didn't see it when I responded... Actually, I tried both. First, I just made changes and rebooted. But later, every time I made a change to a build.prop, I updated it in the zip package, and did a new flash every time after a full wipe.

Hey, thanks for following up! But, like I said, I already tried several times a full wipe (data, cache, system) before flashing the ROM with tweaked build.prop.
I just need a stable working phone now, so I wont be experimenting with it for some time...
