OK, strange problem. I have a Verizon GN. My gf just got the Sprint version. When she takes pictures or sends them via text, they automatically get uploaded to Picasa I think and Google +. She doesn't remember creating a Google +, but I think the first time you create a Gmail account it does it automatically. The problem is, there are pics that were only meant for me. How do we fix this and delete the pics from google + or google + itself??
Go to settings ...accounts and sync and make sure sync to Google+ is unchecked. As for deleting them, u have to go into Google+ and delete them manually.

Go into Google+ on the phone and disable automatic picture upload.
Go to the G+ app and tell it to not instant upload. While there, delete the ones that have been uploaded already.
The pics are 100% private when instant uploaded though. They will not be shared until you explicitly do so in the app/website.
Tell your GF to give you nudes in person IMO.

I actually figured it out. I didn't think the pics would become public. I ended up just deleting her account and unchecking instant upload. Thanks for your help.

+1, I dont get it. I have filters in the 6 photo apps I already have on my phone. Any picture/screenshot taken/downloaded is already instantly uploaded to Photobucket, and Dropbox and Google+ does this as well. If I want to share there is already a share button that offers much more functionality than any share Instagram can have.. What is so special about this app?

Its the sharing community in itself. Much like a lot of people didn't get twitter at first. My girlfriend doesn't have Facebook, twitter, or Google+ she's always hated social networks but she absolutely loves instagram.
I've noticed she gets quite a good amount of commentson her instagram photos. Yea you can post photos on any other social network but it isn't front and center. You'll just be another link in a sea of status updates whereas instagram is all photos all the time.
Why limit yourself to 140 characters when a picture is worth a 1000 words?
That should be instagrams slogan. I should pitch the idea to them lol

So it's a social network where you only post pictures, no statuses, no links?. Are all pics completely public or private or can you choose individually?

Its 100% photo driven. You can do a small description with the picture and tag people. I kind of think its like the photos aspect of tumblr + twitter follow/following + hipstamatic filters. It reminds me of a bit of flickr or what it could've been had they gone mobile with their community earlier.
Its definitely not for everyone but ill give it a try when it comes to android.
Also I'd assume there's an option to make the pictures private only to approved people (followers).

I downloaded it on the iPad and looked around.. Skrillex had some cool pics up. None of my fb "friends" had actual pics up and only a handful of them had accounts, all girls. It was okay I guess but I still dont really see the point. Its like Google+ for pictures, it may be better than facebook (pictures), but without the user base its useless to me.

Definitely all dependant on how many people you know on it. It seems most of my friends are on it. But then again they're all on iPhones mostly so they actively use instagram.

iphone users are the ones that made this even remotely relevant because they dont have well implemented sharing options like android does. :]

Pretty sure iPhone lets you share any photo you take to the usual social networks. Instagram is just a community built around people who like taking indietastic photos with filters. I know you can already upload photos to a million places...but for example if I upload a photo to Google+ even with me being in 1000+ circles I'll maybe have 1 comment on it. My girlfriend on instagram with 76 followers will have atleast 5 comments.

Nah iDevices wont let you share to the fb, which is the big one imo. You have to go into the fb app and upload it.
I love how Android lets you share to any app installed on the device.

Its handled by Facebook. Whenever you post to Facebook from the Instagram app, it by default creates an album called "Instagram photos".
Its an app for hipsters.
So chances are, they won't tell you how it works.

Its not, I think its because the galaxy nexus doesn't have Facebook sync support. When I upload a photo, it never appears on my fb account, even though I linked my account.. the same goes with twitter.
Kudos to the person who can find the solution.

Haha please elaborate? I must be having a derp moment if it's that easy to figure out...
In the settings under "edit sharing settings" I have it linked to my fb account. However I thought that the photos would automatically upload just like that. But when you upload a new photo, you have to check the fb box, and then upload picture.

Oic... thanks. I thought it was automatic as well

So today on the g+app I went through and deleted all the pictures in the 'from your phone' album. As it had loads of blurry shots and old stuff.
And it deleted all the photos on my phone!

It'd be nice if deleting from the phone didn't always delete from the account. I was pretty irked when that happened despite the fact that I wasn't logged into Google+

That's what happens. If you just go onto the web and delete the photos, they won't be deleted from the internal storage of the phone.
Doing so from the app, however, does delete the original photos from your device.
I wanna have my dcim folder on my phone to stay backed up is there an app to do that?

If you use Google+, then instant upload works great. Dropbox also has its own camera upload feature. It'll upload all the pictures you currently have on your phone to your dropbox and will automatically upload new ones as you take them. Hope this helps!
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using XDA
Oh hmm I may have to make a drop box. Thanks

No problem!
I just use Google+ for my photo backups. I can delete them anytime I want. Plus if you ever have to reset your phone, your pics will show up in your gallery as soon as you sign in. Waay convenient.

I'd say dropbox is your best bet.
Why not just enable picasa in the gallery, or Google+? They both will automatically send your pics to the cloud. Even in real time as you take new photos.

I also suggest Google+ since it's integrated with your google account and (personal preference) I like having everything in one place. I've had some issues with dropbox sucking up network time like an bandwidth vampire.
