Syncing Facebook and Twitter

Im trying to sync my FB and twitter (from accounts and sync in settings) and it keeps saying login failed try again later. Is anyone else having this issue?

If you tried a few times with a few reboots. Just give a second, is the phone within the first hour of activation?

Make sure your old phone is powered off, it will cause issues...

No not trying to sync contacts trying to sign onto the media hub to get FB and Twitter messages.

I had the exact issues with my Touchpro2. I had to use another app to get it to work. The built in apps that came with the htc phone wouldnt work but a off brand app did.
If I am not mistaken its because of the way the built in apps sends your login info to the authnication servers with FB and Tweeter.

Even with the facebook market app installed i cant add it to accounts and sync settings. Oh well itll get resolved soon enough

Having the same issues here.

same here, probably just down because of all the activations, it will probably work before the weekend is over. does anyone know if this syncs contact photos with facebook? if so does it do it as well as sense does?

Called Samsung and they are now enlightened about the problem, said they would be looking into and call me back with resolution or when fix would be available

Hmmmmm I couldnt even get it to log in. But when I grabbed the facebook app from the market place and used it it worked like a charm. Even the pictures and graphics for the different news feeds synced right up. All of my facebook contacts are on my phone now WITH their pictures.

I can't log in fb through social hub but I can through fb app for android. If anyone hears from samsung please share the news

Same issue. Media hub wont allow sign in FB or Twitt.

Instagram and Facebook

Anyone know how to import your instagram photos to Facebook. I have tried sharing it to Facebook, but it will only give a link. I see that some people can import their pictures to a Facebook album called "instagram photos." Can anyone help?

Its handled by Facebook. Whenever you post to Facebook from the Instagram app, it by default creates an album called "Instagram photos".

Its an app for hipsters.
So chances are, they won't tell you how it works.

Its not, I think its because the galaxy nexus doesn't have Facebook sync support. When I upload a photo, it never appears on my fb account, even though I linked my account.. the same goes with twitter.
Kudos to the person who can find the solution.

Mind sharing how you got it to work? I'm having the same issue...

Haha please elaborate? I must be having a derp moment if it's that easy to figure out...

In the settings under "edit sharing settings" I have it linked to my fb account. However I thought that the photos would automatically upload just like that. But when you upload a new photo, you have to check the fb box, and then upload picture.

Sprint Galaxy Nexus Question

OK, strange problem. I have a Verizon GN. My gf just got the Sprint version. When she takes pictures or sends them via text, they automatically get uploaded to Picasa I think and Google +. She doesn't remember creating a Google +, but I think the first time you create a Gmail account it does it automatically. The problem is, there are pics that were only meant for me. How do we fix this and delete the pics from google + or google + itself??

Go to settings ...accounts and sync and make sure sync to Google+ is unchecked. As for deleting them, u have to go into Google+ and delete them manually.

Go into Google+ on the phone and disable automatic picture upload.

Go to the G+ app and tell it to not instant upload. While there, delete the ones that have been uploaded already.
The pics are 100% private when instant uploaded though. They will not be shared until you explicitly do so in the app/website.
Tell your GF to give you nudes in person IMO.

I actually figured it out. I didn't think the pics would become public. I ended up just deleting her account and unchecking instant upload. Thanks for your help.

Can't Send Pics/Attachments?

What am I missing, is there a setting on the device that I should have cuz I never had this issue at all with my Incredible S and I love this Samsung so not complaining about the phone itself just the sending the pics? Or is it because they have to be named .JPEG or something instead of .jpg, just wondering?

I don't use hotmail so I don't know if that could be the problem. I just longpress on the pic. Choose share when the menu comes up and select Gmail. Sends with no problem.

Many people I know only use MSN/hotmail so there has to be a reason this is happeining, anyone else have issues but thanks for your responses.

Is is giving you some kind of error message or is your email not going through at all? What does it do when you try to send a pic?

It just sends it back, saying 'failed to send' but I can receive no problems from both hotmail & gmail?

Loss of Contacts....

I recently flashed a new rom on my girls GS2 and she now is telling me that she is missing several hundred contacts. i asked her if they were all tied to her google account and she told me that they were until now. she's had several other androids in the past and always had all the contacts transfer just fine. I work for T-Mobile and i have seen this issue in a couple of other devices before but have never been able to come up with any sort of rhyme or reason as to what, why, or how this is happening. can anyone shed some light on this for me? and if anyone knows a way to possibly recover those missing contacts that would help me out greatly. plus, it kinda worries me to think that one day if i flash a new rom onto my phone i may log in only to find i have lost all of my contacts......

thats the big issue, they deleted out of her google account completely. on the phone and online. she had something like 800 contacts (crazy i know) the other day and now she only has around 250. ive seen this happen with a few of my customers phones at work as well where one day they have contacts stored to gmail then suddenly they are gone. its very strange.

Umm were they mostly guys number?
Are you sure it wasn't part of fb of fb contact sync?

lol no isnt trying to hide anything from me haha. and i asked her if they were FB contacts she said no. these were contacts that were tied directly to her gmail account.

I dunno man if they were on her acct online and now they aren't...that's a Google issue. No idea where to begin to fix it.

I am having the same problem. Phone was setup to sync contacts to gmail... but now its gone off phone and off gmail.

If I recall correctly, Google has an option to revert to previous versions of contacts up to 30 days ago. Maybe that would work?
