notification not working?
Hey there,
I appreciate the instructions and link! However, after I installed the alternative mms app, I am no longer receiving notifications for new incoming messages. In addition, mms appears to work intermittently.
I am on ICS 4.0.4 (CM9 ROM) if that helps. Any thoughts? Appreciate it!

GSM + 3G - 3G not working

Hi, I recently unlocked my Incredible 2 and I'm in India. It seems that the new SIM card allows me to make voice calls fine, but I can't seem to get 3G data even after signing up for the plan here etc. It shows Airtel (service provider) in the networks list and is active, but I still cannot get it to connect. Any ideas?
Have you confirmed your APN is entered correctly?

[Q] APN Settings for AT&T?

NOTE: I posted this in the General Section as well, but I realized that may have been the incorrect place to post my question, hence I am posting it here. Mods, feel free to delete that post in the General Section.
First off, I have a Desire Z (Bell Version) that I have rooted with stable version of CM 7.03.
I have been problems sending MMSes for a while now. I've looked up the various settings listed all over the Internet, but nothing has worked. I've tinkered and I rebooted the phone everytime I changed the APN settings.
Here's what's on my phone currently (this is after doing much tinkering from the various settings I've found on the Internet):
Name: AT&T
APN: wap.cingular
Proxy: Not Set
Port: 80
Username: [email protected]
Password: CINGULAR1
Server: Not Set
MMSC: http://mmsc.cingular.com
MMS Proxy: 69.209.11.32
MMS Port: 8080
MCC: 310
MNC: 410
Authentication Type: PAP or CHAP
APN Type: default,supl,mms
Now after deleting this APN and resetting to default, this is what I have:
Name: ATT
APN: wap.cingular
Proxy: Not Set
Port: Not Set
Username: [email protected]
Password: Not Set
Server: Not Set
MMSC: http://mmsc.cingular.com
MMS Proxy: wireless.cingular.com
MMS Port: 80
MCC: 310
MNC: 410
Authentication Type: Not Set
APN Type: default,supl,mms
After going to the default settings, I still can't send MMSes and it's driving me nuts.
Also, I noticed there's version 7.1 out. However, as far as I know, MMS supposedly works fine on the version I have and I do remember being able to send MMS in the past occasionally, so I don't know what's going on...
Anybody have any ideas?
Flash the latest nightly after a wipe. You could also try a third party texting app.

[Q] build.prop unlock, need mms settings for att gophone

I unlocked my sprint g2 with the build.prop method and then flashed justin's rom. then I changed the apn to this one:
apn: phone
proxy: not set
port: not set
username: not set
password: not set
mmsc: mmsc.cingular.com (with http in front)
mms proxy: wireless.cingular.com
mms port:80 (ive tried 8080 too)
mcc:310
mnc:410
authentication type: none
apn type: default
apn protocol: IPv4
Everything works, but MMS. data works, normal text works but I cannot send or receive MMS. Can anyone share their MMS settings for att gophone? or do I have to change something else? Thank you

[Q] APN for M8 for T-mobile? Sms issues?

Hey guys I have a rooted m8 for T-mobile, lately sms messages have not been sending, my phone says that the text sent however the person will not ever receive the text. This happens with multiple ppl. It's not my sms app as I have tried multiple apps. I have tried re flashing Rom and wiping and trying new roms. So I'm thinking it could be my apn. I'm having no other issues, Internet is fine, calls are fine, just texts. I changed my settings to:
Name: T-mobile US LTE
APN: fast.t-mobile.com
Proxy: not set
Port: not set
Username: not set
Password: not set
Server: not set
MMSC: http://mms.msg.eng.t-mobile.com/mms/wapenc
MMS proxy: not set
MMS port: not set
MCC: 310
MNC: 260
Authentication type: not set
APN type: default,supl,mms,hipri,dun
APN protocol: IPv4/IPv6
APN roaming protocol: IPv4
APN enable/disable: APN enabled
Bearer: unspecified
MVNO type: none
MVNO value: not set
I'm going to try this out and see if this works. I looked up apn setting, however every link I clicked were different apn settings. There were tons of different variations, so idk which I should go with. Any help would be appreciated!

I got the native Hotspot working on gsm-unlocked RAZR M with Straighttalk/ATT sim!
