Looking good, Casemate make good products. I had their Barely There case on my DHD
Yo,
I had one of these bad boys for my Incredible S so ordered one a few days back for the One X.
I've just realised something. With this case on, you lose the connectivity of the rear docking port (little metal dots) or I presume you do anyway.
E.G you wouldn't be able to use this dock I don't think
http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/htc-cr-s650-desktop-cradle-with-speakers-for-htc-one-x-p34381.htm
Can anybody clarify?
You can't use a dock with any case, so no point having holes
As HTC whore says you cant use any case with a docking station you would just remove the case to use the dock then put it back on when going out with your phone
I have this case, so hard to take it off!
Picked one up from the Blackpool store this morning, will be taking it back for a refund tomorrow. Daren't even fit it, it's that tight a fit. If it's tight to get on I doubt I'll get it off. The phone is pretty slim and I have visions of snapping it !!
It's not hard to take off at all, I've put mine on and off a few times
Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
Indeed, the case isn't hard to take on and off. If anything I had to take it on and off only to line up the grooves for the speaker hole and made sure the edges weren't squished down. The case is nice but only drawback is how much lint/dust it attracts on the rubber/silicon part.
I agree only drawback is the dust etc om the rubber section but for the protection it offers I am happy

That's a very generalised statement, and you come accross pretty arrogant if I'm honest ........ If thats true why do the official HTC cases have a cut out for the Pogo port ?
Also, Mine isn't straight on the bottom edge. Is anybody elses like this?
The hard plastic part is almost wavey on the bottom, this stops the soft rubber sitting properly - Got pictures if needs be

I have emailed you guys but I bought the case from Amazon so not sure where I stand there.
I have also noticed - the "Lock/Unlock" rubber on the inner case does not 100% line up with the actuall button on my phone. I would say its around 3-4mm over to the left, It still covers around half the button so it does press but it's not as responsive as it should be and I am always pressing my button on one side (Could eventually cause a problem)
I am begining to think my case may be a clone - Another thing I have notice is the hard plastic part is nowhere near as grippy as my last case mate case. It's kinda slippy.
Build quality on my last case mate case was amazing - this one is below average , at best.
I tried to get it on video - in the loo at work, sorry about that haha.
I had to use front camera and a mirror as I don't have another camera on me atm
I marked the CaseMate button A and the phone button B
It's quite hard to see but you can make it out
Anybody else's like this ?

The power button on the tough case is misaligned and indeed the hard case is pretty slippery. I hope case-mate corrects these issues.

that is great, i was on the fence with the flip cover for a bit, thank you for going the extra bit and getting both!
I had the craziest of ideas but do you think with a little bit of patience and modding that you would be able to put a slice in the gel case and slip the back cover of the flip case through it and use both?
I am not sure when ill next be able to buy another phone seeing as this one started WWIII at my house and i think i may need to really baby it, i also think if its possible we might be able to use the gel case somehow to hold the flap down, tiny magnets, who knows, im just curious if you think this is possible
Flip Case is great, works like a dream and it's raised case protects the Camera Lens, unlike the factory fitted back, one slight issue is that the Note will not slip into the 'Official' car mount when it is in the Flip case. You can snip a bit from the case to help but due to the extra width (... ;-) ) it stands proud on the one edge.
Samsung naughty designers...

Ha, I actually tried this but must have forgot to mention it in the review. No modding required it does fit in. The case warps very very slightly on the left side where the flip case joint is, but it works reasonably well though!
Not sure about holding the flap down, but it only slightly lifts itself up, it sometimes lifts very high, but just pressing it down is enough to keep it down
I am thinking about using both cases togather , would you send a picture please for using them togather ?
Been using my flip case for a couple of days. I wasn't sure at first but love it now.

+1 to this and also do you like your gel case enough that if you were to buy another it would be that one again or take your chances on one of the other gel cases out there? thanks for trying the two cases together too, im too broke to risk it not working.

I'm thinking of just cutting the front flap and glue the side leather on top of the gel cover's side, close to the back cover's side, so it will have full range of motion. Reuse the original backcover for better fit. Then just a tiny velcro patch on the other side to keep it closed.

I don't think so, to be honest I'm not really a fan of gel cases anyway so I wouldn't buy any. Flexishield ones are the most popular gel ones tho

Good idea, its better to keep the full range, because I would hate the flip cover if it didn't flip all the way around.

Any suggested alternatives? I don't want to use a screen film. Just want to protect it from the inevitable drop.

I got my neo hybrid lumi case in the mail today ( I go the blue and grey) and wanted to do a quick review.
First off all let me say, that so far I haven't had any of the problems with the buttons some people have been talking about. The volume rocker is a bit sensitive, but I haven't had any problem with it changing on it's own. Also simply holding firm on the sides won't push my buttons either, I squeezed all around the edges and didn't have any problems.
This case looks awesome it is very sleek and doesn't add much bulk to the phone. The holes for ports are all cut smoothly and adequately. The port on the camera is the very slightest bit uneven but nothing anyone would probably notice unless they were really looking and definitely not anything that will effect the use of the camera or protection.
The TPU portion of this case is slightly different than I was expecting. It is a bit harder and less flexible than I expected. My biggest problem with the case is that the TPU is very slick. It offers very little if nothing at all in the way of grip.
As far as protection goes, I haven't dropped my case or done anything extreme, but the case seems to offer very decent protection especially considering how sleek it is. The back and corners are well protected and feel pretty confident that if I did drop it I wouldn't have any scratches or major damage on my phone. There is a nice lip around the front screen to give a buffer if it were to be set down on it's face. The case fits snug and I don' think would fall off if dropped.
Overall I am very happy with this case, I was hoping for a bit more grip, but I really can't complain considering how good it looks and the protection I'm getting
I had one of these for my iPhone 4 and the plastic shell snapped when I was taking it off.
How dangerous/sturdy is it on the GS3 version?

It is fairly rigid, but I have taken mine on and off a couple times and no problems so far. I have been leaving the hard plastic attached to the tpu part which doesn't require it to bend much though

My screen protector doesn't fit in the least. It covers part of the front facing camera and yet there is ample space at the right of the home button. If you can imagine that, you'll understand just how off mine is. It goes on well but my cut outs are quite off.
I also have the button issues. I just got mine today. Throwing an email to them tonight.

I got this case a few days ago and immediatley noticed the volume button sensitivity issue as soon as I installed it. The issue I experianced is that any time I put any pressure anywhere near the volume rocker, it would depress the button and raise/lower the volume. I uninstalled and reinstalled it several times but no matter what I did the issue remained. Emailed SPG and they requested photos and or video of the problem. They also wanted to know which S3 varinat I had. Hopefully I just got a bad one because I think it is a nice case otherwise.

Yup that's exactly what happened to me. I was the one who 1st posted the issue and now after a couple of days I got use to the sesnsativity of the buttons and where not to squeeze but I will be contacting them I think that's way to much for me to let slide for such a high quality case. I still slip at times and it's just annoying have to hit the back button every time you press the power button for to long and getting the shut off option when you are in the middle of something.
why dont you guys remove the case and push outward on the inside of the volume rocked portion to stretch it out a little bit.
use something small to get right in there
yeah i have the same color!! I thought I broke the case cuz it got dissembled. Have no problem with it so far.

I've had mine for about two weeks now and haven't had too many issues with the volume sensitivity. Occasionally it happens after I've taken the case off and put it back on but then I just adjust the case and it doesn't happen anymore. I can squeeze both sides near the rocker and power button and they will not activate and when changing the volume the controls don't stick.
I did think the case was going to be a little thicker than it is and I doubt the plastic frame adds much more protection. This is one reason I'm debating buying another case with a little more protection (commuter/aegis/active type case).
I do like the looks of the case, which is one of the reasons I bought one instead of sticking with the Diztronic cases I have which are also pretty good.
So I received this case today (I live in Australia, postage takes forever). I have issues with the sensitivity of the buttons as they often stick. I've emailed Spigen about what they will do but I'll probably just take a razor or something to the inside buttons and wear them down a little.
On a positive note though, the packaging is amazing and the case feels like it is sturdier than my cheap tpu case from Ebay. It also looks great.
Just received my aegis yesterday. My first impression was horrible. This case is darn near impossible to put on and once I did, the volume up button wasn't working and I ended up taking the case apart and put it back on 3 more times for it to work. Now that it works, if I press the volume buttons too hard, they will get stuck and I have to pry them up again. Anyone experiencing this and what did you do to fix it? I'm thinking about returning it.

I got the same case on my s3 and I haven't had any problems with my volume buttons. The case is a very tight fit took me a few minutes to get it on the first time. I would suggest trying to wiggle the silicone into place. Or maybe your case got cut wrong in the factory so its slightly off center maybe try contacting trident to get a replacement.

easy fix (atleast for me)
when i got mine i noticed at first it was a PIA but i asked my cell guy the easiest way to get it out because i have to have the phone naked when attaching it to my bike mount. So after he showed me you could take the right bottom corner and pull the phone out real easy after pushing the rubber off, i tried the exact same thing in reverse putting the top in first from the bottom and sliding it in now the only thing is i have to massage the bottom piece of silicone strip above the charging port. Other than that i have had no problems with any of my rocker switches and i have taken it out several times.
if anyone wants a video lemme know and i will attempt to make one hope it helps
Been there...done that...
Exchange it. Unless you have an Exacto knife and the steady hand of a surgeon, you're gunna be stuck with those problems...not saying that all of them are like that, but my experience with Trident is 50/50. (personal and from friends)
If you like the slick fast in and out of pocket feel and want better than average protection, then the Otterbox Commuter is the way to go. I've yet to see ANYONE with ANY phone complain of misaligned this or that or buttons that stick and etc with any Otterbox...but if you don't mind a slightly bulkier case but has the protection like a tank, then the Otterbox Defender has got to be hands down THE best case around.
But that's me...who doesn't care about the color or the slight bulk (BTW, the defender cases are a bit harder to get in and out of pocket and it honestly does "wear" to a shiny finish on certain parts that hit the pocket or whatever, but not normally noticeable at first glance or at all...) but I know that my phone will have the FULLEST resale/exchange value when I "upgrade" to the next phone.
The SG3's screen lip could have been a little bit shallower. It tends to make it "look" bulkier than it really is because of that, but having already dropped my phone 3 times I'm PRETTYYY sure my insurance investment has already paid off.
Just my 2 cents...

How come a silicone case like this, that is totally not acceptable.
How I put my phone in the case is...
1: put 1/2 to 3/4 of the silicone into the plastic, make sure the buttons are pushed through the plastic and headphone jack cover is set.
2: push top of the phone through the case making sure the sides of the phone are in the silicone part of the case. Push it all the to the top.
3: put the bottom of phone into the silicone case, making sure the phone doesn't come out of the rest of the case.
4: slide the phone, with the silicone around the bottom, into the bottom of the plastic.
5: use toothpick or something that won't damage case or phone and push or poke the edges of the silicone inside the plastic that is sticking out.

I was having the same problem. After putting the phone in the case the volume rocker would work for a while however eventually would get stuck.
I removed the hard shell and it would work fine when it was just in the soft inner case.
Instead of dealing with returning the case (because I really like it outside of the issue with the volume rocker) I decided to fix it myself.
What I did was take a single edge razor (WackyJoe references an exacto knife) and cut around the perimeter of the rubber nub that fits over the volume rocker (do it slowly). This in turn removes the entire rubber nub that fits over the volume rocker.
The bad thing about doing this is the volume is harder to adjuster because it sits inside the case instead of sticking out . It is still adjustable, you just have to use the tip of your fingernail. The good thing is that I no longer accidentally adjust my volume when I pick up the phone which happened constantly with or without the case.
I think this case is great minus the minor issue with the volume.
Let me start this review just by saying that i love bumper cases. I
have been looking over the internet to find the best bumper case for
our Galaxy s3. I came across this case. Its a STRONG silicone bumper
that completes me in every aspect.
First of all. Its cheap. I think that everyone can try a cheap case
and if they dont like it, they throw it to their dog. (hehehe) Guys,
seriously. this is the best bumper case i have seen over the internet.
Why? It has a nice touch when you are holding your
phone. VERY nice touch. You will want to just hold your phone because
it has a nice feel Second of all: PROTECTION. And i mean it. Front,
back and sides are fully protected.
Front side (screen): the case has a slight bump on the edges so if the
phone drops the floor, its still protected (floor not the road hehe).
Back: Again, the case has a bump on the edges. So if your phone drops
on the back, protected!!! if you want to lay down your phone on a
table: PROTECTED.
Sides: Full protection, which is obvious why: its the case hehe.
Buttons: FULLy accessible button, both power and volume buttons. They
are covered by a soft silicone so there are very easy to press
(compare to the other tpu case i have reviewed)
I dont know if there are more colours available. You must check on
sellers ebay site.
Rating: If this case would be rated its a rock solid 5/5. Believe me
on this. It defenently worths every peny guys. I even compare it with
a TPU bumper case, that i have reviewed last week, amd this is by far
better.
Enjoy the pictures. I tried to take as many as possible.
I will review more bumper cases in the near future so stay tuned.
You can buy this on this link:

if you find this review helpful, hit thanks
Nice review! Around the volume rocker it might need a little work but I've already ordered one of these.. 4$ shipped to Canada and it looks decent.
Thanks for the review!
You will like the case mate, i guarantee you that. Feedback when you get it so everyone knows from you too
Good review, I have the white one. Easily the best case.
Owned a casemate brushed aluminum and SGP neo case

I love the idea of this case, but had a similar one for my Galaxy Nexus which fell apart in a matter of days. Would be interested in reading an updated review of this one in a few weeks.
I have this case on my phone for a while and feels very steady guys. Note that i am snaping batteries daily, so the case comes on and off (by me i mean) and I havent got a problem so far.

Do you guys mean the material of the case degraded? This is all one-piece right? I was JUST shopping for my first bumper case and saw some aluminum ones that snap or screw together, but it seemed like the TPU ones are just a single piece of material and wrap around the edges.
Its a single piece mate. Plus you dont lose any signal plus its a snap in snap out plus its veryyy cheap
How does this fit with a zag shield?
Galaxy S3 Paranoid ROM.
I think that with the zagg shield you will be ok. The case has already a tight fit so its better not to use extra protection underneeth. I dont think you need zagf shield for the back cover because its already protected from the case.

If it is anything like the one for the Galaxy Nexus (and it appears to be the same), there is a hard plastic material used on the rear portions of the bumper, while the piece which surrounds the screen is flexible rubber. With the GN, the two materials separated.
is it easy to take it in and out of your pant pocket

i dont know for sure, but i think that it is going to work because the case is thin on the bottom. :good:
Thanks for the review, I ended up buying the same one but in white. I'm guessing they come from china because this thing isn't going to arrive for like three weeks haha. Oh well whatever.
My clear diztronic tpu case is starting to turn yellow and blue from my jeans so I really need something else. For three bucks I hope it holds up for a little while.
Do you think the the bezel or screen would get damaged if I dropped it from pocket height and it hit the corner on cement? Just wondering if I should still be extra careful when using this bumper.

i got mine in less than 3 weeks becuase the seller shipped the case in an envelope (like a mail). for three bucks its a bargain.
MrThaibox23 has put a youtube video clip reviewing the Official HTC One Genuine Hard Shell Case with Cover and he certainly does not recommend it. Unhappy with fit and poor quality and bad value for money.
Still waiting for my HTC One and am reluctant to cover the beauty of the design so the questions are:
Cover it with a case Yes / No
Recommend or warn us off any case you bought.
Many thanks and over to you.
I actually like the case and im using it right now
I got the case free from Vodafone with the HTC One and I think it's pretty good, for a free case that is.

I also got the case free from Vodafone and couldn't believe that the hole for the mic does not line meaning nobody can hear me when I'm using the case, has nobody else experienced this???
It fits the phone perfectly and states for the HTC One on the box (ruling out them sending me the wrong case) and I've definitely fit the case correctly (ruling out stupidity).

Do you Talk about the flip case or hardshell?
I had this microphone Problem with the flip case and solved it by making the hole for the microphone on the case bigger.
Not just me then, yes I refer to the flip case. Not the sort of quality you expect from a 'premium' official case. If I wasn't amazingly impressed with the phone I'd be letting rip at HTC!
Its a shame the screen wouldn't come on as you flip the case over though!
The flip case is okay, poor quality though.
I also got the official flip case for free with my phone. I was really disappointed with it. OK I got it for free but seriously HTC... Couldn't they make a decent official case for their incredibly beautiful save the company flagship phone. They should have used proper leather and included some magnets to keep it closed and wake the screen when opened like Samsung do with their case.

My flip case is literally falling apart at the seams. Don't pay for this what ever you do.

Yup had this problem as well. I was so confused when people told me they couldn't hear me.
Whilst a terrible case it's better than what I got free with the last 3 phones.
But if I had paid cash for it I would not be terribly pleased.

Yeah. They obviously didn't have any kind of durability testing. Tip... Don't believe everything you read in reviews

i have the double dip hard shell case on fine and find the fit is quite loose on the phone, the other thing that really bugs me is that the volume buttons dont work correctly. i have found that there is very little tactile feedback and that you then tend to press the buttons harder which then causes the area of the case around the buttons to miss shape..very poor which is a shame as i actually really like the overall look etc of it.
Anyone else found this or could i just have a bad case?
I think I'll get hard shell case.

This is a fantastic phone so get any reasonable case for now until better 3rd party cases become available. I prefer the hard case over the HTC flip case.

i liked the hard case when i first saw it, but now i just think its cheap and nasty looking.
have a look at nillkin case. im using it now and posted pics in the "cases and covers" thread near the end
The flip case is great, the only down side is that the microphone hole in the case doesn't line up 100% of the time and when making calls sometimes I have to take the phone out of the case for the person to hear me

Yes that is correct
I would get the leather pouch from www.pdair.com, that way, the magnificent design of the phone will be visible every time I pull out the phone out from the pouch =)

My mate called me on his the other day, I kept telling him I couldnt hear him.
It turned out to be the HTC official flip case hole, as per other posts on here!
Luckily mine was free, but he paid £24 for it!! It's going back....
Personally if you look the hole on the outside is ok, but it tapers inwards and is like the tip of a needle inside, you could easily make it larger with a paperclip or jewellers screwdriver.
Although for £24, you shouldnt have to.
