Damn, I realized now that there is no front facing camera on HTC Desire.
So, no video conference as well
There is a special photo-reflective device that can be used for teleconferencing with this type of handset. I have one in my bathroom, but the name escapes me....
I have only ever used video conferencing once in my life just to see how it works, though I know there are many people who do use it.
Some have reported the "trackball" is actually a camera. So maybe the developers might somehow make it happen.

It's not good enough for taking pictures or video.

Every optical tracker like in an optical mouse works as a camera, but they have incredibly low resolution.

I think it's so low resolution it'd never work.
I am hearing a clicking sound near the speaker when I hit gently the upper part of the phone.
Is this normal or something is loose inside. This happened from the beginning.
Any insight of what might make this sound is welcome.
Thank you
I think mine has some noise as well when i hit the top part of the phone.
You hear the shutter/focus part of your phone... Htc hero, Htc diamond, htc Legend all ''rattle'' when you tap them near the camera.

Sorry for saying this but I am quite happy to see I am not alone on this one. The thing that I hate the most is sending to warranty a new product.
Maybe someone knows more of this sound.

think thats the effect from too much sun...
Buy then again my grey one don't have this issue. And was in direct sun for about 10 days (holiday ).
Looks like the body has been overly stressed. You'll see the same thing in perspex and glass when it's bent but not broken. I'd say someone was a bit too active with the phone in a tight pocket.

Likewise no effect on my white one, just like xmoo I was in direct sunlight for 10 days as well in Turkey on my holiday and no peeling effect like that.
Yep, phones need holiday too sometimes.

many body have this issue by normal use.
I think you already have your questions answered isn't?
To much sunlight
It's stressed/bend to much
Another thing I can think off is that the phone is dropped.
How do you know many body have this issue, where do you base that on?

I have no issues with the body, maybe a good advise is to talk to HTC and claim your warrantee.

can u take a picture for your issue ?
Hello to everyone.
I'm starting this thred as i'm very concern, after comparing pictures made with hox to any other sources.
Picture seam to be over exposed and behind a cloud of mist. It can be observed with video or photo capture...
Does anyone have the same issue?
Is it not the driver fault?
I had similar issue when on htc hd2 installed windows mobile 7...
Please put your comments.

Basically got ripped off on ebay as was sold a HTC One M7 with pink fuzzy camera.
So, now thinking of the getting the M8 instead.
Can anyone please confirm that this is not a problem with the M8?
thanks
Matt

There is a pictures thread in the general forum. However, the short answer is no. The pictures look fine on the M8, they are just comparably (to other flagship phones) low resolution at 4Mpixels. If you can live with that, it actually takes very nice pictures - at least as good as my old 8Mpixel Galaxy S2.
