Hello,
There's a new Samsung Phone out in the market with 800mhz processor
Samsung Galaxy Y and I'm probably getting it by the end of the week. Just wondering if theres any development for that?
The phone has got decent specs for a starter phone (better than HTC Wildfire) with 800mhz processor. I can see theres no dedicated forum for it, Any plans for development or anything?
Thanks for your time.

That's right! The best we can do for now is to use the Puffin web browser. It is a paid app, but just a few cents. I would try the Skyfire browser, but I the market says is not compatible with the phone?!

Even though it's from Armv7 (Galaxy SII) it's still possible to port.
(You will need lots of time & patience)

It seems like there's no reason to port it. It's just another customized CM9 (ICS) ROM.
If it were something unique, I would try to port it
Anyways, I'm still busy with other huge projects soon to come.
So stay tuned and then maybe I'll have free time to port some random stuff LOL
U can just build the tablet.mode for our existing ics

i think hcfroyd and other guys are already working on it,
we can have CM9 without CM7 since CM9 is based on ICS

[NEWS] - They rode in ICS Galaxy Y
The following link:
http://www.android-war.com/p/apoie-o-projeto-jb-ics-galaxy-y-gt-s5360.html
Shows a project that did and ran ICS on Galaxy Y.
However, the ROM will not be available for free, just pay 25 reais who can retrieve it.
And from the day 01/02/13, only those who pay 50 dollars will get it.
Did someone from the community could pay, download and pass for us?

The VideoCore4 in the Galaxy Y is a very much cut down version of the standard VideoCore4, So it has a very low performance in comparison with the other full specification devices. It's done to reduce the size and hence reduce cost. That explains the low specificationss of the Samsung Galaxy Y in comparison to other full VideoCore4 based devices. Fcuk Samsung!!
Maybe if we can change the code and make one ready for Samsung Galaxy Y devices.
I am just telling what I know. I maybe wrong also. We will try this out first.
EDIT: Just now
Lets form a team and develop this!! PM me!!
Developers are welcome!!
This is the time we have to prove ourselves to the android world!!
Lets see who is brave enough!!
