Question for Dev - Name Caller ID - HTC One X

Rogers Canada (my service provider) offers "Name Caller ID" i.e. when I get a call from someone who is NOT in my contact list, I still get registered name of the caller.
This service worked on my earlier phones, such as Samsung S2, Motorola Droid Razr ...even Acer liquid !!
I have confirmation that it works on Rogers HTC One XL but unfortunately doesn't work on my HTC One X (International unlocked)
Is there a custom ROM which supports this? Is there a way I could get this working?
PS: I know there are apps in market for reverse id lookup, I have tried them all but database is no where close to what Rogers "Name Display" offers.
I will willing to pledge $$ if any one could help me out.
Thanks in advance

The One X should support the feature it has been verified by a few people, I have heard that it does not work on the LTE network though, if you force HSPA or GSM you will see the Caller Name Presentation (CNAP)
Someone also mentioned that it does not work on the quad core version, but I think it should since my Raider from Bell supports it on Rogers, I think HTC now includes the feature on all it's Android 4.0 phones or Google has finally built it into Android.

Rogers HTC X works without LTE but id doesn't log in call logs.
HTC X quad core doesn't work at all. I can confirm this

Conference calling - does it work on your network?

Hi all,
I haven't seen anyone mention one of the more hyped selling points of the TP2 - the Conference Call feature. Does it work? And more importantly, does it work on your network?
The reason I ask is I am on T-Mobile UK with my Kaiser (and my TP2 when it arrives tomorrow) and I cannot conference two calls together - when I press the conference button, it says "The operation failed". A little research on Google seems to suggest that T-Mo UK are probably the only operator globally who have this functionality disabled.
Will this mean that if the TP2 is ever released through T-Mo retail that it will have this function disabled? Is that why it has been delayed - they are upgrading their network to cope with conference calling?
I'd be interested to know, especially if anyone has already got one on T-Mo UK.
Cheers
Im not sure about T-Mo
However, the option you need is Call Waiting & Call Conferancing; this option usually need to be activated with your telco under VAS (Value Added Service); some may charge to have this function activated
the best you call T Mobile and ask specifically about this function
As I feared, T-Mobile UK don't support conference calling so that feature doesn't work. I phoned CS yesterday to ask, and all I got was "it may be supported in the future".
Actually I found my TyTn II did this yesterday. I put a call on hold and saw an exciting 'conference button' in the Opal dialer. Pushed it and I got some message about not being supported.
I'm on Orange.
UK o2 = No no no.
Pretty pointless feature when the network doesn't support it, I don' think many uk networks do, they have their own conference facitlity. (232 on o2 I think)
T-mobile (ben) Netherlands: Yes, totally works. did it with my old hermes 2 months ago
Vodafone in the Netherlands supports the conference call facility.
A question I have in relation to this subject: does anyone know whether it is possible to have incoming phone calls join in a conference call? Example: I have a call with A on the TP2 and B calls me on the TP2 during that call with A. Can I organize that B will join the same call? If so, how? Is there any maximum of calls that one can have in such a conference call?
Cheers, dela
Telus in Canada does NOT support the feature. BOOOO!
It works on Vodafone Portugal
Vodafone in NZ supports this but only for account customers and by default it's turned off but can be turned on request for free of cost.

Yes, you can pick up the incoming phone call and join in a conference call you started (works well with Orange & unbranded TP2).

Your device already has Conference Call capability.
Using Conference Call is a network dependent feature. So, based on what your operator allows you (your phone subscription/plan) - you will be able to use it or not.
BTW, Conf call works great on Orange ...
Hope it helps.
Movistar in Mexico supports it, even on Prepaid, and for free (you just have to pay for both calls)
All Israeli operators (Orange, Cellcom & Pelefone) supports this feature
Mine worked twice on att then stopped, Any ideas why? I used it right when I got the phone then about 2 1/2 weeks ago and it worked great, now when I try I get two people on hold and the other call doesnt come through, and when I try to take the two peopl off hold is says it cant take the call off hold. Do you guys think this is a carrier issue like att not wanting me to use it or a phone/hardware issue?
Works with Vodafone UK
The Conference feature (aka Multiparty) requires a flag in your number's profile in HLR called "MPTY" activated. without that activated, you cannot make a conference call. contact your operator for this.

Actually my operator also have this service, but it wasn't activated in my number. Now it is... but it seems that the other numbers that you are making the conference also need to have this service activated, otherwise it won't work.

HyperCard 3G Dual Sim Adapter

Hi all.
I tested the HyperCard 3G Dual Sim adapter from http://www.2-phones-in-1.com/ in my HTC Trophy. Conclusion: It works like a charme.
"
After some cutting problems (had to cut the sims thinner than the templates delivered with the adapter - but no problem: i think you cannot really do anything wrong. just be brave ;o] ) i created a contact with 2 phone numbers:
Name: HyperCard 3G
Image: Toke Logo from HyperCard 3G Homepage
Private 1: 11*
Private 2: 22*
this easily switches between the two sim cards. I stacked the contact to the homescreen so that i can easily and rapidly switch.
see here a short video:
works also with HSDPA and UMTS 3G. I think its the one worldwide supporting this currently in a dual sim adapter:
If you have questions do not hesitate to contact me here in this thread.

Nice, when someone calls you on phonenumber of sim1 and you have set it sim2, you are not available?
I think I know the answer but maybe if you're using the same provider..
you can easily set in your windows phone "call forwarding". because i use same provider "same net" it costs nothing. to your question:
if you do nothing it will not inform you. it is like: one sim is on the other off.
all the best.

as you can see in the video it is a contact with 2 numbers. if you call 1 number it is changing the sim.
currently there is no app for windows phone 7 available due to the microsoft limited access to windows phone 7 system settings through apps.
i will create one app if its available, no matter if homebrew or at marketplace!

Thank you very much it will be nicde to have app for windows 7 great.
but I am unable to change the number as I created the contact as follows in my Mozart
Name: Hypercard 3G
Picture- My favuoire pic not a logo
Work
Work2
as there was no option to select private1 and private 2title in HTC mozart.
Just thought that might be the reason for not being able to swap the number by even calling. Any thought if its not too much to ask
You must set the phone numbers for Work1 and Work2 as:
Work 1: 11*
Work 2: 22*
meaning, calling "11*" changes to SIM1 and calling "22*" changes to SIM2

Awesome now I can travel with my trophy
I know is a old thread, but is the only one about dual sim adapters on windows phone. I have a Samsung omnia 7, do you think the HyperCard 3G works fine also with my device?
Good morning,
I have an HTC Mozart and I'm interested in the result of your test. Please advise if you succeed to switch the SIM. If Yes, Please advise if your phone is SIMLOCKED and if it is branded.
Kind regards
Christophe

NEED: Rogers (Canada) Network Profile

Hey. So a problem a lot of Canadians are having is getting an unlocked WP7 to work on Rogers because Rogers is not on the list of network profiles listed. Currently Bell and Telus are on there. Unless you have a phone FROM Rogers, which has the Network Profile on it.
I'm really looking for someone who has the xml network profile from a Rogers WP7 that can share it with us here. Looking through the forums, this would help a lot of us out. Without it we have broken Caller ID and MMS.
Thanks much for any help!

If you require assistance, please call 1-888-ROGERS1 and a customer service representative will be happy to assist you.
I'm not speaking of specific entries like the data or mms apn. There is a specific xml file built into windows phones that has the entirety of connectivity information, including MMS and CLID settings, which can not be set through the settings menu. It is per carrier. But not all phones have those settings for all carriers.
..............
I have a sim unlocked Surround that was originally on Telus, now on Rogers. I downloaded the Htc connection assistant which adapted my phone to the new carrier with no problems
Sent from my GT-P1000 using XDA App
Sadly lg phones don't come with that option.
I had the same problems with my HD7. You can fix your CID issue by phoning Rogers and disabling name display, after that all CID's will show up like they should.
Well that's what I was planning to do until I realized WP7 devices on Rogers with the proper network profile settings have working name display. And also MMS. Was really hoping someone could contribute something. I've been searching google every few days to see if anyone has posted a copy of it anywhere. No luck as of yet.

[Q] HTC One J [htl22] Help needed running GSM.

835N with 6GB / 256GB / LTE....and phone+sms??!?!?

So I bit the bullet and picked one up. Straight from Samsung Korea.
I was shocked to find that the phone and sms apps were working and I could make calls. Is this function active on any other versions?
I can even uninstall factory apps! Damn, I'm quite unhappy about why we cannot have these options here in Canada.
Have you been able to set up visual voicemail service?
The phone and sms works on my 835, but I cannot setup voicemail service. I believe this has sometime to do with APN type. My provide requires type: Default, mms, supl. These setting cannot manually be set. The closest choice provided for the type is internet +mms + dun. This does not work for me. If you have it work what setting did you use?
Thanks,
Riv
Unfortunately Telus does not currently support Android visual voicemail on all devices.
I am trying to see if they can treat the device as an LTE smartwatch. By that I am referring to call twinning and outbound caller ID (matching my phone number). This would be killer!
I have the same device and it's working perfectly in the US (TMobile) voice and text as well!
Only thing that annoys me is that calling falls back to 3g, I guess that means no VoLte?
