root and recover help please - Kindle Fire Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

hey guys, i bought the fire for my wife for valentines day, immediately rooted it to get rid of that terrible kindle launcher and stuff, well, I've got a transformer prime and galaxy nexus, so after a couple months of her playing with my ics awesomeness she now wants to come over the good side, only t hing is, for the life of me i can't rememeber what i did as far as recover goes on this fire. I've read to hold the power button until it turns orange, but it won't do that for me. So how do i get into recovery with the kindle fire?

With your Kindle Fire off, hit the power button (and release it), and wait for the FireFireFire logo (triangular) to appear. Then, hit the power button until it turns from green to orange/red, and let go. You will then go into recovery.

first off, thank you very much for your reply.
When i pushed the power button (with the kindle off) it just went to a black screen with the word "kindle" in white and the word "fire" in orange. stayed there for about a minute or two then booted up. never a yellow triange.....any ideas?

Oops! Looks like you lost FireFireFire somewhere along the way. Probably because of the recent Kindle update, which also would have unrooted you, unfortunately. You will need to re-root (which will reload the FireFireFire boot loader).
The Kindle Fire Utility can root a 6.3 (OS) Kindle Fire. Not sure how you rooted last time. If you did not use KFU, the old procedure you used may not work any longer.

Ah. Ok. I was unaware you get iota updates after rooting. Thanks ill just start all over.

[Q] Kindle Fire keeps restarting and freezing on yellow triangle

I apologize, I posted this in the General Info section by mistake. I don't know how to delete that post, but wanted to post correctly here.
Three days ago I went through the process of rooting my kindle fire using KFU. Being a noob, this took me many many hours. I got everything to work, GO Launcher, Google Play, Amazon App store. I even used the Voodoo OTA Rootkeeper to temporily un-root so that I can watch amazon streaming videos. I was feeling pretty good about my accomplishment.
Late last night, for no apparent reason, the Kindle Fire restarted itself and got stuck on the yellow triangle (is this FireFireFire?). I got nervous, freaked out a little. I plugged into my computer and tried to restart the Kindle after selecting 'Recovery (5001)'. No luck. I then tried the same thing after selecting 'Normal (4000)'. I could hear the USB connect/disconnect many times and then I saw the "Kindle Fire" screen and let out a sigh of relief. It booted up just fine. This was about 2 hours ago.
But, now, my Kindle randomly goes back to the yellow triangle and hangs there. I need to go through the same process above to fix things. This has happened at least four times already. It did not seem to happen while the Kindle was "connected" to my computer. It happens once I 'disconnect'.... usually after about 10 - 20 minutes. It has happened while using both GO Launcher EX and the Amazon Launcher. Any idea?

REALLY-- Bricked Fire

OK so im pretty sure my fire is bricked.. not the way most people here think is bricked though.. im not stuck at the yellow triangle or anything like that.. nope im pretty sure im screwed. it does not:
-turn on
-take a charge
-show any flashing on the screen
-make orange or green light on power button (ever)
What im saying is that when i press the power button, plug it in to the charger (or into my computer), there is absolutely no response at all.
p.s when plugged into the computer nothing shows up on the pc, kfu, or any other program that lists my devices
What i did was...
i flashed cm7 and was working fine but i wanted to see what some of the things that came with it did, (this was a while ago, my fire has been sitting on my dresser for a month.. i didn't feel like messing with it) so i was messing with something that could flash clockwork recovery to it and i had to pick my device from a big list. Of course the Kindle Fire wasn't listed so i pick another tablet (ya i know it was pretty stupid of me) then rebooted. After that, nothing. And its been like that since.
I know its probably doomed but it would be nice if anyone out there could help me. If not it would also be helpful if anyone knows where i can buy a Kindle Fire Motherboard becuase most of the the sites i see are out of stock.
Thanks

Kindle Fire... Black screen forever!

Hello,
I have had my Kindle rooted fro quite some time but I didn't like it so I decided I would install the new ICS ROM that is out. However, this did not work so I tried to go back to the Kindle system using TWRP and the Kindle Update 6.3.1 from Amazon. Now, all I can see is the Kindle Fire logo for a few seconds then the screen goes black, with the backlight on. The light will stay on until the battery goes dead. Any suggestions?

[Q] Help Fire doesnt seem to charge after rooting

I rooted my 1st Gen Kindle Fire, installed twrp, and fff, everything worked fine. I wanted to update my android sys so I could more easily use google play. I installed 4.2.2 but it would never boot up... just got to the colorful undulating lines continuously... so I restored back to my back up sys and everything was as it used to be, still rooted. Then I installed 4.2.1 and Id get to the colorful undulating lines but they would never switch to the welcome screen to allow me access. I would hit the button and they'ed switch to the new welcome screen with a low battery message and then go black. When I tried to charge... the light would go from green to orange, to a faint orange to black. It doesnt seem to be charging and I cannot get anything to boot up at all now...
HELP !!!!!

Fire TV Stuck at Amazon Logo, but has ADB

I have a Gen 2 Fire TV. Completely stock, unrooted, locked boot loader. Only thing I side loaded was kodi. Plus I did those adb commands to hide the ad banner.
I don't know what happened but since last week I can't get my Fire TV to boot. Farthest I can get to is the white Amazon logo. Interestingly I can still connect via network adb. It just stays on the white Amazon logo, then I think it turns off after 2 hours or something (TV would go to the "no hdmi signal" screen). I unfortunately don't have the remote anymore. But I have flirc setup and a usb keyboard.
I tried the alt+print screen+i, but from what I've read this is needed right before the colorful Fire logo, which I can't get to.
I tried what the OP tried from this thread and I got the same errors he got. But mine didn't fix itself by just having it sit for a couple hours. And I'm on the latest version so I can't just wipe it, root, and reinstall the rom.
Curious an update came out last week I believe. I wonder if this issue is related to the update. Like a failed/corrupted update or something.
Any suggestions on what else I can try out? Thanks
