I recently downloaded a couple new battery icons for my HTC thunder bolt rooted with Liquid smooth 3.2 rom using the rom toolbox.
I was able to change it to a new battery icon but it turns out the one i initially selected is not a 1% icon as it was indicated. Anyways I wanted to try a different one but now it wont let me change it. I did the same process with installing both but no matter what the old one persists no matter what.
the new icon did initially show up in the status bar but when i went to show a friend it was back to the first one i downloaded.
I have 2 versions of rom tool box installed on my phone. The one that came with liquid smooth 3.2 and another version from 4shared which is version 4.5.2. the latter is the one i am using to change the icons as the one that came with LS 3.2 will not let me change them.
An interesting note, upon boot the factory (LS 3.2) wifi icon will appear and only after some time will the custom green one show up but the battery icon is the first one i downloaded right off the bat never shows stock. Also there is now an alarm clock icon to the right of the battery icon which was not visible before the first battery icon was installed and proceeded to go away during the short period where the second downloaded battery icon was being displayed.
Any thoughts? I am a beginner so step by step instruction are greatly appreciated. Also, not sure where to put this, it is a question but it is related to modifying in my mind so please don't trash me and my first post if it is in the wrong section, i will re-post if so.
Thanks, Mark
Maybe it has something to do with the rom toolbox you downloaded. I would just try and buy the one from the marketplace. It helps support the dev to make the product better and you wont have to worry about that virus thats going around on 3rd party sites!
Now It displays the new one most of the time but still shows the first downloaded one while charging and at intervals of 10% during discharge. Similar to the first one downloaded, the new one is also not behaving as a 1% icon as indicated but its slightly better, 5% instead of 10%.
I would definitely buy the pro version but how do i know that will solve the issue?

I noticed in some of the newer roms, the battery icon at the top shows the percentage left as well. Is there a cab that I can use or another way to get this feature on my current setup? Thanks.
I stumbled across this one earlier while searching http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=64109&d=1199310892
thanks a lot!
actually i just did a soft reset and now it just shows a full battery (no percentages either) at the top no matter what even if i am charging... any ideas?
i found the solution actually i was missing the SDKcerts.cab which was also required. heres the original post if anyones interested: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=321733
Can anyone tell me what this circle icon with a slash at the one o' clock position means (third from the left)? This just appeared out of the blue 2 days ago and doesn't disappear, even if I restart the phone. I have checked whether any new strange have appeared but can't see anything out of the ordinary.
If I pull down the notification bar, I don't see any app associated with this, it's just empty really. I check the HTC Desire HD Manual as well and unless I missed it, this icon is not mentioned there.
Any ideas?
strange, never seen it before...might be some third party App, causing it to appear.
Are you using a custom theme/ROM? If not, I'd guess it's almost definitely put in there by a third-party app, it doesn't look like it matches with the rest of the HTC/Android icons.
It looks like a power off button to me.
Have you try playing with that icon?
Hi, it was the Power Control Plus Widget! I found out after killing the apps one by one Thanks for your help.
Hey I know this probably belongs in the development section but as I am a new registered uer and considered "inexperienced" by your rules, I need to post here.
So last night I flashed thunderhawk ei22, and loved it(except for the blue but I can deal) and i my one major issue was no battery percentage on the battery icon, so I flashed a new battery icon, with percentage(randomrom ei22 battery percent mod take3), but now when I hit my end button to reboot the phone that menu is gone, could someone help me with restoring my power off menu(mayb also getting rid of all this blue)
the battery icon
You can add the battery icon in the settings I do believe. Its under the lock screen option. when you go there it is under status bar. Again I believe that is where it is. I had Thunderhawk but at the moment testing a different one so can be certain.
Edit1 - After reflashing this rom, I couldnt find the battery option under the settings menu I apologize for misleading.

It actually doesn't hurt to post there, esp if it's with this specific rom...
Hello, I came across MIUI Freshly Squeezed Edition. However the first I was exploring it, I found that the Status Bar text can be customized, so that it can display the Date & Time, however once I started to fiddle with it, I can no longer find that option. Could someone please help me out? Thanks!
I also found that I can move the Icons and texts in different places on the bar, but I don't see that option anymore either... so either I am blind, or I am missing something here, thanks!
Ah, the Extended Control right? By the way you said, is it the settings or the app itself vanished? Anyway, there's a separate flashable zip of Extended Control for MIUI which can be found on the web (in case of the missing app). Just make sure that you flash the right version of each zip and the rom version accordingly.
Yup! That was it! Thank you very much for your help! <3
I am running the latest version of the Wicked Sensations ROM on my Sprint Galaxy S3 with the default firmware/radio/kernel and I went through the Kuban Updater to see which updates and mods I wanted and I came up with 12 of them as follows:
Add_Back_IME_Switcher
SecMMSFixed
Weather_Wall_Live_Fix
Wicked_Apex_Update
Wicked_Playstore_Update
Google_Maps_Update
Gmail_4.2.1_Update
4.2 Camera and Gallery
Black2_Close_Bar
Black_And_Blue_Pulldown
Center_Clock_Morph_Blue
Wicked_Stock_Battery_With_Percentage
The names may not be exactly correct since I do not have my phone with me (or available right now), but that should get close enough for my purposes.
I made a backup before flashing any of them, then since I had to do two sets of flashes anyway (since TWRP can only flash 10 zips at a time), I figured I would split the list in half and install the first 6, wipe cache and davlik, reboot and check it out, then repeat the process for the 2nd six.
The first six seemed to go fine. The versions were updated where I could check, and the fixes seemed to be made (again where I could easily test). After I flashed the second set, I have two issues that are either bugs with my flash or the fixes themselves. I am not sure which, but I would appreciate anyone helping me to figure out what if anything went wrong and how to recover. I can just flash my original backup and start over, but I wanted to get some suggestions first. The two issues are as follows:
I think the 4.2 Camera and Gallery mod was supposed to install the new android 4.2 camera and gallery and leave the original ones. It worked correctly for the camera, but I can't seem to find the new gallery. Is there something special I am supposed to do to get to it?
One of the other mods (I'm guessing one of the last 4) caused my status bar to go completely black. There is no clock, no battery, no signal icons, and no notifications. I can still pull it down and see the notifications themselves, but can't tell if there are any unless I pull it down. Any ideas?

I characterized the problem in number 2 a little better. It seems that the status bar is gone after a reboot until the first real notification (permanent ones like juice defender and avast do not seem to count) is received. After that the new status bar shows up and remains until the next reboot. I have been able to work around the problem by toggling an alarm in Alarm Clock Extreme Free on then back off after each reboot.
