When scrolling, have one about two cm from top of phone and one about 2cm from bottom.
Is only noticeable when scrolling. It reminds me of tvs when the football is on and when the camera pans left and right you can see vertical lines on the tv.
But on my phone they are horizontal.
Anyone else had this.

Today I was watching a movie and discovered if holding the tablet in landscape wiih the home button on the left side, viewing angle was drastically improved. Just wanted to throw that out there.

Well...it was a knowed "feature"
But it is nice to see that i'm not the only one that find it a good escamoutage
It's funny, that exact "feature" is also present on my cheaper "ainol basic tab"... I wonder if the manufacturers put the devices together like this for a reason, or is it just a mistake? I got used to it, and always hold it in a certain angle (with the power button to the right, the normal way) with no problem.
Yea I noticed one side of the screen had a really crappy viewing angle. Its the portrait left side and I have also have been trying to avoid the bad side when viewing netflix

Yea The viewing angle is very good on the A100. The only issue is they put the logo and default orientation backwards IMO.. LOL
Example:
Right side up for a right handed person holding the device with left hand.
-The screen looks MUCH BETTER at angles
-The left hand tends to cover up the front camera, also its much easier to use the volume key with the right hand when it's in the bottom right(upside down).
-The power key is accessible with right hand when upside down.
Cons- Hand now covers up the crappy little speakers, Thumb part of palm can now activate home if you hold it wrong. This is all very easily avoided with a headset and just not squeezing with your thumb's palm.
I just couldn't get used to the viewing angles. You had to tip it to the left to get the best viewing angle. Took it back.
...still looking for the best 7" tablet...
Has anyone noticed the 1 pixel wide vertical green line on the left side of the screen on a white or lighter color background?
I've heard about this before on pentile screens but I'm surprised it's on this 720p screen as well.
I've tested it on two gnexii and it's there on both.

Yeah, the NS had it too. It's less noticeable on the GN, which is nice.

Yeah I see it on my Galaxy Nexus, it's pretty noticable.

Of 4 Galaxy Nexus I've used. only 1 of them didn't have that. My current one has it.
It is a green sub pixel. My 2 other ones had it stronger and was more noticeable compared to my current one though. In fact my second one was so noticeable it was showing a strong green line on all backgrounds. It was especially annoying when you are trying to watch a high quality youtube video or something.
Was in a shop today and saw two Note 2 side by side, 1 grey, 1 white.
The screen on the white seemed to be noticeably not flat, ie the screen seemed to be higher in the middle and slightly depressed towards the sides, it was really noticeable when you have a screen of app icons or you have something split down the middle of the screen. The effect is a bit like the old CRT tv that bulged out, i.e. wasn't a flat screen telly.
The screen on the grey note 2 seemed normal to me, the screen didn't seem particularly "not flat" and I didn't notice anything weird.
Can present owners confirm that this might just be a one off? Perhaps the store model had been squashed badly. Because I've ordered a white note 2 (the retailer is currently waiting for stock) and I don't want to have this visual defect when it arrives. thanks.
Is only your illusion .. all the variants of the note 2 have the same screen
My white note 2's screen is 100% flat.

So two things. My screen has some weird vertical lines faint ones depending on the color being displayed. Second when typing and the words being highlighted they look jagged and aliased. The m7 didn't have this issue. Idk if it's the font or something but I've seen other m8s with this. Just an annoyance I guess. But the lines shouldn't be there I'm sure.

This definitely does not happen on my M8. The M8's you've seen are definitely faulty. Mine is crystal clear and has no banding etc. Colours are excellent as well as blacks and whites.
Mine too. It's tiny strips like vertical lines, alter in the screen. not happening every time but once a few days and for all the day. Newly purchaseed phone
So I just got my silver Pixel XL 32g from another person, and I noticed that the display under the screen deviates a little bit.
It seems that the left side black strip is slightly thicker than the right side one.
Does anyone have the same issue here? Is it normal to have such "uneven black strips"?

Let's see if this works
doesn't look like an issue to me, likely within manufacturing tolerances.
